Absolutely excellent! I purchased Infinity Reference first but returned them for these. It runs just off a Sony 5600 head unit. The only issue I have with them is the plastic/PVC frame. I also purchased XTC speaker baffles with these. While tightening down the speaker it really started to flex and bow the frame while using the speaker baffles. I did not want issues so I didn't use them. But now they are used and can't be sent back as it was only $16 for them and despite being used anyway it would cost $ 12 to send them back. Really shouldn't even recommend the baffles with them with the way they flex the frame while using. Overall great speakers with great delivery. Except UPS kind of beat the box up but the contents were still ok.
Pros:
Cons: Plastic/PVC frame

Nice tweets! Reminds me of my old JBL home theater tower speakers a couple decades ago. Cymbals ringing. Price is high, though.
Pros: Quality high frequency reproduction
Cons: Price Not for lows

The best S10 dash speakers period, throw away those old 4x6s

2001 Chevrolet S10
The best possible speaker to buy that fits the S10 truck dash corner positions. Everything here says "do not buy will not fit" for my 2001 Chevrolet S10 but that is incorrect. Heavily researched speakers on S10 Forum and all the audiophiles on there installed these with very little issues. They fit perfectly in the dash with no obstruction problems with the defog ducting just below the speaker holes. The only fitment issue is with the speaker grilles. I bought new grilles for around $15 on Ebay since mine were a brittle 22 years old. The grilles just need the mounting hole standoffs slightly sanded off so they sit closer to the speaker and dash because the Kappa speaker plate is thicker than stock. An eighth inch of plastic trimmed on all standoffs and it was a good as stock fit, a 3 minute modification with a sanding disk on a drill.
Pros: Obviously, the clarity in mid range and highs is excellent. Fitment was not a problem at all. Can handle a high power signal with no distortion.
Cons: Slight trimming on the speaker grilles needed for them to fit flush to the dash.

1984 Porsche 911
Porsche 1984 Carrera Targa. (Though Crutchfield states these speakers don't fit a 911 they actually just popped right in. No additional cutting, drilling etc. Holes lined right up for screws. The only concession, better to have tweeters pointing inward rather than outward as the picture indicates) The setup. Alpine CDE-172BT receiver, Alpine KTP-445A power pack, Sound Ordinance B-8PTD Subwoofer, Front speakers - Focal Performance PC 130, Rear Speakers - Infinity Kappa 463XF. The Kappa 463XF really shine and blended with the Focals really well. The highes are clear, cymbals well defined. Mid range tone well balanced and defined. You can easily separate out the different instruments and voices that make up mid range. Bass is as one would expect from a high quality 4" speaker, not a lot but it works, but that's the subwoofer's forte anyways. What has impressed the most is that they don't lose their clarity and clean sound even at high volume. No distortion and this is with turning up the volume on the Alpine to the 25 to 28 range. As a friend who considers himself to be an audiophile said, the combination of this system sounds better than 90% of the home systems he's heard. I think the Kappas play a big part in that and would recommend trying them out.
Pros: Excellent full range of sound. Quality construction No distortion at high volume Great speaker for open-top cars
Cons: Wish they came with Speaker Grills specifically designed for the 463XF
