Excellent speakers replacement

My Rav 4 had a blown speaker, so I ordered these replacement speakers. I was happily surprised on how these speakers performed. These speakers sound much better that original- this is a Rav 4 limited with premium sound. Bass is very present, however since there is a subwoofer, I needed to adjust down the bass. Instructions were not as expected, but that was not an issue because I found several videos on YouTube.

I had just purchased a 2013 Subaru Outback and noticed that my right rear speaker was not working at all and the left one sounded terrible. So I decided to get some decent speakers. The magnets on the original speakers were tiny compared to the JBL speakers. The instructions were good on how to install them. Compared to original speakers, had to give them a five star rating. I then had to replace the front speakers, but that is another story. Very happy and satisfied with the sound.

Decent upgrade

I installed these in a 2020 gmc savana which required drilling out rivots to remove factory speakers.These speakers are a step up in sound quality from stock ones with factory radio. The highs are clear and mid bass is adequate. I hoped for better deep bass, but these speakers lack that. Prob be better with a little more power going to them but still better than stock.

Junk!!!! I am sure there are better speakers than this.

These things are junk. I wish I would have never bought them. And I wish I would have never listened to "the experts" here. These things sound worse than stock. For sure not what JBL used to be. Why would an expert recommend a 3 ohm speaker rato replace a 4ohm. I would never buy a JBL again for how bad these sound.

Great speakers for the price

Good complimentary speakers for the JBL Club 964M that I put in the front doors of my 2013 Tacoma double cab. I put these in the rear doors because the factory speakers were basically nonexistent. These speakers added a fuller all around sound. Got them half price during the sale at the first of December so you definitely can't beat the price.

First Time Buyer

Shipped very fast, and they came with an adapter kit for the exact make and model of my vehicle. I wouldn't have thought to purchase the adapter, so the fact Crutchfield took the initiative was greatly appreciated. The speakers sound about as good as they can get for the price point, and I will be purchasing another set to replace the front speakers. This was my first purchase with Crutchfield and due to the excellent first experience, they gained a new customer.

Love these for my 2006 Impreza. I tried my luck to see if these would fit the front doors. Luckily, with a little modification to the mount brackets provided by JBL, they fit perfectly. Going from 5.25 to these 6.5 inches has made a tremendous difference. I'll certainly be sticking to JBL in the future.

Honda Element Music Came ALIVE Again!

My 2004 Honda Element EX obviously, needed new speakers after 20 years. These speakers fit beautifully in the front doors. They are shallow-mount speakers, so I did not have to cut to make room for the magnets, and did not have to cut the factory speaker "grilles" at all. I only drilled three new mounting holes, as the old speakers mounted with three screws and the new ones mount with four. I used one of the Honda screws and three of the supplied JBL screws. By the way, these speakers would also fit the same easy way in the back doors of the Element. (I put Crutchfield's shallow-mount Infinity speakers in the back doors, for experiment and comparison purposes. In my 'A' pillars, I put in the JBL Club 194T tweeters. My Music Came ALIVE Again! Very happy.

Great upgrade for my 350Z

Swapped the bose door speakers in my 350z. Sound much clearer and can be turned louder and maintain clarity at higher volume than the bose but not that much higher before it distorts. Likely due to the bose amp that I haven't replaced yet. Very affordable upgrade without having to really rip out the stock system.

I have several JBL speakers of various types and have always been very happy with their performance. But, this pair, JBL Club 64FSL, are a great disappointment. The sound lacks bass and midrange. Sadly, I believe the OEM speakers I replaced in my Honda may be better. Again, disappointed.

Impressive as always

Nothing short of amazing what the JBL concert series of speakers can do with the power of a factory head unit and in place of the standard OEM speakers on modern vehicles. They are my go-to option these days. My most recent install was in my 2021 F250 and it was a massive upgrade for less than $300 for everything. I am long past the days of installing high power custom audio systems with additional amps, woofers, etc. These days if I don't buy the vehicle with the upgraded factory audio option, then i just purchase direct replacement speakers from this JBL lineup and call it a day.

Great Speakers. Easy-peasy Installation

I'm using these in the rear doors of my Ford F-150 with the stock Sync 3 radio and 6x9 inch speakers in the front. Installation was a breeze supported by the great instructions provided by Crutchfield, although where the instructions specified a 7mm screw for all fasteners, 4 of them were actually 8mm (that's a nit, I admit). I'm immediately impressed with the bass response out of these speakers (without a separate subwoofer). Highs are crystal clear. The speakers' 3 ohm impedance was an appealing feature as well. Highly recommended!

Great Speakers!

Going from stock, Not even having tweeters having the full range of sound is incredible. These speakers are small, pretty heavy, and clearly built well. I would recommend installing a nice subwoofer to go with them as they won't give you much bass.

Awful, hollow bass, harsh highs

Used to "upgrade" speakers in VW Atlas and wow these are awful. I was not expecting these to be significantly worse than the stock speakers, that you have to break the tabs off when removing. These is little to no bass in these and the highs are HARSH. I would not buy these unless you are replacing some very old and worn out speakers. Idk if I'll ever buy another JBL speaker

Not recommended for Nissan Bose

My 2019 Nissan Rogue SV came with a Bose sound system and the rear door speakers had mostly midrange audio with very little bass. I thought that replacing the speakers would solve the issue, it did not and that's because the Bose amp is not your "Typical" amplifier. It's internally wired to filter a specific audio signal to a particular speaker but not all of them. The JBL's sounded identical to the factory ones, except for the increased high notes due to the added tweeter. I'm surprised that Crutchfield didn't know nor disclosed that or I never would've purchased the speakers because now I am returning them. A non-Bose audio system will work fine.

Great speaker ?? replacement (factory ??)

Replaced my front speakers ?? on my 1999 Honda Accord LX sedan. Installation was a little bit of a challenge. Had to use the same speaker ?? housing. Drilled some holes to make speaker fit and had to trim the back to make room for wire connection. Sounds good still deciding if I should get a 4 channel amplifier to boost the sound even better. Thanks Crutchfield for great product and for the technical support.

I installed in all four doors on my 2022 Nissan Frontier crew cab. It took a little creativity to install them in front doors. No big deal. I like a challenge. No problems at all installing them in back doors. Sound is great. Music is crisp and clear, even when cranked. Well worth the money and time to install.

They sound great and some with a lot of installation hardware. Before if I turned my volume up half way it would sound horrible. Now if I turn it up to half way it sounds clean and anything more and it's way to load for me. I know these speakers can out perform my stock stereo. I highly recommend especially for the price.

These speakers fit perfectly in the rollbar of my 2013 Wrangler The old speakers were worn out, and these made a dramatic improvement in sound for a very reasonable price. I installed JBL Club front speakers, and a JBL BassPro powered sub in the rear as well, and the balance is wonderful.

Getting the most out of your money

I have always been a fan of JBL. Over the years I've owned 4 or 5 different Bluetooth speakers by JBL and I've always been impressed with the sound quality for the price. That being said, JBL has never been the BEST sound quality out there, but certainly the best sound quality at that price point. There really isn't much else out there that is as cheap as JBL with such a good sound. I installed Dynamat insulation in my door panels when installing my door speakers and I'm incredibly happy with the sound. It took a bit of tweaking with all of the extensive sound settings in my Kenwood stereo, but once I figured that out I can really feel the potential of these speakers. I'm genuinely impressed by the clarity these speakers offer even at the higher volumes. I'm convinced you can't buy a better speaker for the price. If your already considering JBL Club 64FSL speakers, just buy them.

Speakers were good. However the mounting tabs did not quite fit the original mounting screw holes, too close in. The bracket that came with the speakers did not work. Had to carefully file the inner edge of the speaker tab holes to line up to the original mounting bracket.

For the price you can't beat it. The clear crisp highs and the mids are nice and punchy. The ease of installation was also a great plus! Huge improvement over the factory Bose system. I would definitely recommend and would purchase again. Thanks to the awesome staff at Crutchfield for all their advice, service, and knowledge.

I installed these in my 2015 Toyota RAV4. Wow! The OEM audio system has always sounded a bit flat, and lacked detail. It wasn't exactly annoying, but definitely not my go-to car when I wanted to enjoy music (my other car is a fairly modern BMW, which has an amazing OEM sound system). These JBLs, along with a pair of JBL Club 34s for the dash, fix everything with the RAV4. They provide a full range of sound, and you can hear the details in the music (brushes on cymbals, for example). I also spend a fair amount of time listening to NPR, and they're great with vocal audio. I choose the JBLs for two reasons: 1) my past experience with their products and 2) because they have a high efficiency rating. They actually efficient enough that I can run the OEM head unit at a lower relative volume level! This is the second or third car that I've upgraded with parts from Crutchfield, and as always, they made it easy. The mounting adapters fit, the wiring harness adapters were correct, and their installation instructions were extremely clear.

Hidden Brackets - Great Sounds!

Great speakers. They have excellent sound quality even off of head unit power. Their excellent efficiency makes them sing out nicely without having to go big on an external amplifier. Only thing is they hide the supplied mounting brackets in the cardboard packaging. Don't recycle the cardboard packaging before pulling the brackets out! See my pictures added here.

These JBL speakers are ROYAL JUNK! The blown factory speakers sound better than these things. A Brown banana would sound better than these JBL's. The mounting brackets are cheesy and low quality. Crutchfield recommended these speakers in an email for a vehicle I was searching for speakers. These are absolute GARBAGE and a complete waste of time & money!

Blown Away!

I bought these off of Crutchfield because a friend recommended this site, and I got these for the price and the JBL reputation. I'm so blown away by the quality of these speakers! The bass is great, the clarity is great, and Crutchfield made the installation and process flawlessly easy. By including the new brackets I'd need and what not, I was done putting these in my 2014 Mazda in like a half hour, and now I have better sound than friends with brand new cars lol. These are great all around speakers, especially if you have a car with great bass and treble control to dial it in. My factory speakers were trashed and broke , and installing these made driving fun again.

JBL Does It Again!

A few years ago, I had a 2012 Hyundai Veloster with the upgraded factory system (with the 8" subwoofer in the hatch) but I felt that the system needed more mids and highs. I then decided to upgrade the front and back door speakers with JBL 620Fs and it made a world of difference. Many years later, I now drive a 2015 Kia Forte LX Sedan with only 4 speakers and the factory radio and man did those factory speakers sound horrible. I looked at what Crutchfield had to offer in the JBL line of coaxials and they had the new JBL Club 64FSL for half the price for Black Friday and I snagged them! Anyways, to make a long story short, with the help of Tom helping me with some small touches with the install, I FINALLY got better highs, cleaner mids and less muddier bass than with those paper cones that Kia has in there. I do want to advice that if you listen to Bass heavy music and like to crank up the volume, lower the Bass setting in the factory stereo some. I have my Bass at +7, Mids +6 and Treble +10. I absolutely recommend these speakers and also to do the install yourself. JBL does it again!

I got these to replace some older mb quarts that got something in the magnet and got real scratchy. they sounded great until that happened. These actually sound like the midrange is too high on all the preselected settings. I haven't tried to manually tune them yet.
