Two pair of these and a 12" JL truck box in a regular cab F250! You don't realize how much 120 watts RMS is until you feed it to something that can efficiently process it. Incredibly crisp, clear, complete sound at painful volume levels while still just as clear and complete at almost no volume. These things are pro all the way! I've been blasting music and disturbing the peace since Craig came out with the PowerPlay in 76. These are a different league. You are committing to a high end system though. These are every bit what you'd expect from JBLs top shelf.

Installed these in my 2018 Ford Flex with Sony Premium system after one of the factory Sony door speakers went bad. I've been listening to them for a couple weeks now and have been very impressed with the volume increase thanks to the higher sensitivity rating and 3 ohm voice coils. The amount of bass I am able to get from the front doors now almost eliminates the need for a subwoofer. The woofers dropped right in place of the factory woofers and connected easily with the Metra harness included from Crutchfield. I think the set-screw connections on the woofers are a nice touch if you are using aftermarket amplifiers and heavier gauge speaker wire. I added some sheets of sound deadening material to the doors while I was in there as well. The tweeters are extremely detailed and I am really impressed with the overall sound. The tweeters fit snuggly right inside the factory tweeter bracket in the A pillar using the included surface mount pod. Secured them in place with hot glue. I am still powering these with the factory Sony amplifier and probably will stay that way as they get loud enough for my taste and I don't hear any distortion.
Pros: Higher output without needing additional amplifier. Excellent clarity. Deep bass.
Cons: Occasional harshness from the tweeters depending on the source material. I prefer silk dome tweeters for this reason.

Okay, so I have spent hours sitting and listening to a range of speakers from friends and with and without DSPs, and these speakers are a, unit. Not to mention Crutchfield's Speaker Compare tool is a very accurate resource to use. I would say though, if you're willing to spend a little more money go ahead and get the Morel Tempo Ultra 572 MKII as they have a slight bit more clarity and all around more punch in comparison. But these JBL stadium speakers do hold their own extremely well. I have a lot of buddies with spendy aftermarket systems, three-way component and custom mounted speakers, these do surprisingly well when compared, now not perfect but close. The only reason I personally went with these over the Morel Tempo Ultra 572 MKII is because these are three way upgradable to JBLs 32s and 22s midrange speakers and slightly cheaper. Overall, though, these hold their own and I would definitely recommend these to anyone not wanting to spend a huge amount on system but still want a form of good clarity and response speakers (OR) to just replace your stock speakers.
Pros: -Great clarity on the extreme high ends 20khz+ -Quality of the speakers themselves are correct for the price range -Created great low frequencies for their size when tuned with curve on lower end ( not subwoofer amount but enough for normal use) -Custom mounting a tweeter is easy due to multiple mounting options -With baffles improves sound quality ( cut out a 3" by 3" hole in the bottom if you don't wanna loose low end response ) -The added on cross over is discrete and easy to f
Cons: -Sound levels drop around 260hz to 340hz a slight bit ( not sure if its my side or speaker side of things ) -Bottom mount adapter rings can become loose and rattle over time, my solution was to slightly glue it to the frame as tightening screws anymore would not be recommended -Not quite as good clarity at extreme volumes but most aren't going to listen to it as high as I tested it -Wires coming out of crossover aren't as long as I would like when installing, took some planning to get i

At first i palced these to a taurus 2015 i was blown away by the bass that these speakers bring but i have an after market head unit the tesla style one and it limits the freq. to about 60hz which these speakers go a lot lower about 40hz so i cant tell what they sound Like at these frequencies and i ordered an audiocontrol D-4.800 Amp to power them up to 130W as my head unit only provides 50W but there things can rock even in A 50W power cant wait to see how they'll preform in 130 watt (my door is vibrating with sound deadening i will be adding more to my door) So yeah these thing can rock.
Pros: Powerful bass clean highs although its harsh in some songs, quality is outstanding in these fitted right in my factory twitter place
Cons: Price is a bit high and the face plate or the gasket keeps on rattling in the door i just took it off .

Can't beat the sound!!!

The sound from these JBL Stadium speakers is awesome in my Mustang. I had the 460 Mach original speakers throughout. Although it was a loud system, it lacked highs and mids. I had it professionally installed by a local car audio place and we added a small sub in the trunk as Mustang trunks are tiny. Adding a Sound Ordnance 4 channel amp made a huge difference. I can finally hear all the high notes I've been missing. My receiver was not doing it justice so I returned my HU to Best Buy, (faulty) and used the store credit to upgrade to a higher quality HU and it goes in tomorrow. Can't wait to hear it when it is done. I'm not overly bright when it comes to car audio but Crutchfield helped me pick out a great system.

Installed in 2007 Ford F 150 super cab front doors. These speakers are a little challenging to install but they are worth your time and effort. These replaced an old set of Pioneer coaxial speakers and I wanted to get my high frequencies a little higher in the cab and they did just that and a lot more. They are being powered by an in dash Soundstream head unit with 40 watts per channel also purchased from Crutchfield. I can tell they are much more efficient speakers, much more sound at a lower volume than the Pioneers. Bass response is also much better. They are a little expensive but they sound so good I'm thinking of buying the coaxial mates for the rear doors. I'd buy these for the rears but I think the install of components would not be worth it in the back.
Pros: Awesome sound and quality
Cons: Component installation will require some modification and planning

These speakers are well worth the money. I was skeptical at first when I purchased them. Installed them in the front doors of my 2010 F150 Super crew. I have a Kenwood head unit and Kenwood amp pushing them. They turn up loud and the highs and the bass are Phenomenal. Well worth the money.
Pros: Great quality and sound
Cons: None
