A simple stage 1 factory upgrade. Nothing More.

JBL, why, why, why?! In comparison to the JBL GTO series these sound, hit, and handle horribly! I purchased, installed, and uninstalled these not 1 hour after putting them in. I am a huge audiophile and JBL fanatic. These fail in every way possible. The crossovers can not handle their claimed power and crack up when hit with any kind of serious clean power. These things seriously need scrapped and started from scratch. Save your money and go looking for the GTO Series. In my 30+ years experience dealing with car audio, I have yet to hear a better sounding JBL door speaker, or a better power handling one. NO WAY worth the asking price. These are now collecting dust on my garage floor. Where they'll stay.
Pros: Okay factory replacement speakers, considering Toyota still uses paper speakers.
Cons: Don't plan on any big sound from these. They'll disappoint.

WOW! was able to use the Axxess product (with a little difficulty) to bypass my factory Bose amp and added a little JL 5 channel running 75 watts to each using the Factory BOSE speakers and it sounded like mud even setting everything flat! Changed out to these Stadiums and all I can say is WOW! The combination of efficiency and sound quality just blows me away. I find myself just listening to all sorts of songs and enjoying everything I never heard before. I'll bet these would jam even if you were running the stock amp and just changed out the blows speakers. Gotta hand it you ya JBL, you knocked it out of the park with this set.
Pros: Sound quality is night and day different.
Cons: None that i can find
