You get what you pay for

I bought these subs for my dual setup. For the price point they are a good buy and provide good bass in my sealed box. However, for this specific sub the quality isn't the best. The problem with this subwoofer in my case is that the adhesive that attaches the cone and the surround have failed TWICE. I have had to warranty the subs out twice in less than a year. I have the Kenwood Excelon XR601-1 amp so it is perfectly matched for the RMS, I had them wired in parallel to handle these 4-ohm subs. I haven't abused this subwoofer in terms of excessive gain, volume, or additional car EQ settings. Overall, this sub is good for the price but if you're looking for higher build quality and performance, its best to look elsewhere. Note: (I had my setup professionally installed and tuned by a reputable shop, this product was not purchased from Crutchfield)
Pros: Punchy High's Good Price Aesthetically Pleasing
Cons: Inferior Build Quality Relatively Weak Performance Disappointing Mid's and Low's

Not impressed at all. Have the correct enclosure built to spec with a solid amp. Actually puts out 285 watts rms when tested. The sub has little actual bass and does not sound good.

Great bass at a great price point.

Good looking sub. Hits hard even though I'm currently under-driving it by about 100w. Fits well in the trunk of my eight six with a sound ordnance sealed box.
