5 stars for functionality, 0 stars for instructions. This was my first adventure replacing a car radio, and it truly would have been helpful if ANY actual instructions had been provided regarding what to do with this adapter. I stumbled across a picture tutorial from a totally unrelated source that finally made it make sense. For anyone reading this, this antenna adapter's skinny end goes into the round hole on your new radio and then the car's radio cable plugs into the flat end.

Used this to install a Boss receiver on my 2012 Freightliner Sprinter. Fit into the OEM antenna plug very snugly, so I don't expect it to fall off.

Crutchfield thoughtfully provided this necessary adapter in my installation kit. For some reason the wire to the radio antenna on my smart fortwo terminates in a connector unlike what we see on American cars. See the photo below. This adapter solves the problem.

I did not think this would work when I first saw the BMW antenna connector, but it fit the factory plug snugly and provides solid FM Reception on my JVC Digital Media Receiver. What makes it even better was that it was provided free by Crutchfield.

It worked as expected, I think I would have preferred one with a cord as it was tight and difficult to push into the Pioneer and the antenna of my 2008 Smart Fortwo

Most factory radios use a standard antenna plus but sometimes you run into a case when the manufacturer changes the plug a now you need this adapter. I didn't even know I needed this and the employees at Crutchfield told me what I needed and explained why. This is a great product and did I mention it is free when you purchase a radio from Crutchfield !

Part was suggested for a 2002 lesabre install. the oem antenna cable has no extra length and use of this adapter on a radio that has the antenna port on the opposite side will result in poor reception. even though it is compatible in fitment the part is not recommended for this vehicle. find an adapter with 6" extension

it fit the stock antenna plug just fine, the cable wouldn't reach the head unit antenna jack. had to make up a short cable to make it reach. problem solved.
