When I got the radio from Federal Express, I opened it, took everything out of the box and put it on my workbench in the garage. About a week, week and a half later, I started putting the radio in. Opened the video instructions and proceeded from there. After cutting and splicing all but a couple of the wires from the factory harness to the harness that plugs into the radio, I discovered this harness on my workbench. It had gotten covered up by me and forgotten. Wish I would have found it before I started cutting, it would have made hooking the harness a breeze.

Great for 240sx!
Brett from Salt Lake City on 10/29/2018
1993 Nissan 240SX
Direct fit for 1994 Nissan 240sx convertible. Only thing to note is you have to ground the wiring harness that plugs into the back of your deck, directly to the vehicle. There is a black wire on this harness that cannot be used for grounding the deck. Otherwise, perfect.
Pros: Easy Inexpensive Fast Decent quality Necessary
Cons: On 240sx, just the issue with grounding it.

Metra 70-1763 Receiver Wiring Harness
Crutchfield customer from Princeton, MA on 5/12/2018
1993 Nissan 240SX
Worked as required to adapt to existing car harness. You do have to pay attention to all of the instructions from Crutchfield to see that the 240SX (in my case) does not include a grounding wire in the factory harness, and must be grounded separately by the installer. I did like the pre-scored wires for easy insulation removal.

Ground
Nissan from Nevada on 5/30/2015
1991 Nissan Hardbody
Worked great except the ground wire was wrong. It had the black ground wire going into nothing (air/no pin) on my truck connector. I had to move it after having burned out two 10A fuses when I realized my dash lights weren't working and testing for a real ground. All works now though :)
Pros: Easy
Cons: Have to double check all the wires to make sure it's correct, and ground wasn't correct, I had to move it to a different pin.

Metra 70-1763 for use in a 1991 Pathfinder SE with premium audio optio
Johnny Haywire from Chicago on 10/13/2014
1991 Nissan Pathfinder
These adapters are generally great, but this one is only for the "standard" audio equipment on the 1991 Nissan Pathfinder SE. Mine had a premium audio option with a Sony single CD deck and rear-speaker-only amp. I couldn't use the rear speaker section of the adapter. However, the Crutchfield tech was really helpful and pulled up the diagram and talked me through my different option scenarios and gave me tips on where to splice in (for the rear speakers) and also specs on the OEM amp vs. my aftermarket stereo. All in all, a great experience with a knowledgeable tech and everything worked out well.
Pros: Easy to install, clear wiring diagram on back of package.
Cons: Only works with "standard" audio equipment. Rear harness needs to be bypassed and hard-wired for 1991 Nissan Pathfinder SE with "premium" Sony CD/rear speaker amp audio option. Not a big deal, but you could also use a diagram and skip the harness completely since you have to solder the rear speaker wires at the dash anyway. My only reason for using these adapters is to preserve the OEM wiring harnesses/connectors. If I have to solder have in-situ, I might as well solder the whole thing there.

Needed this to connect my new Kenwood Excelon KDC-X598 and new Polk Audio speakers in my '93 Nissan 300ZX. Instructions were clear and the process was easy (and fun). I liked how the wires were already prepared for me to connect - needed only to pull off a half inch of covering on the ends.
Pros: Perfect for my needs; ready to connect

Sony DAX-S210X
Dan from Va. Beach, VA on 6/19/2013
I was only looking for a basic in dash replacement for my 240sx. The sale price caught my eye, and not to mention it's a Sony product. My music library thru an ipod nano pretty much stays put inside most of the time. I also listen to Pandora quite a bit and being able to access it through the head unit is something now that I can't live without. This unit, coupled with my powered subwoofer, makes my 2 hour daily work commute much more liveable. And more importantly, CRUTCHFIELD SERVICE ROCKS!!!
Pros: Full of high end features for the price, excellent sound quality once dialed in
Cons: Takes some time and patience to navigate through the menus. If you're the type of person that prefers designated knobs for basic functions, i. e. bass, treble, fader, etc. , then this is not for you
