fit factory speaker harness, but not secure enough. wrapped electrical tape no issue. one spade connector broke off after re-installing door panel. a test of speaker found no sound. had to take off door panel again and solder to speaker terminal.

The contact blades are oriented and sized correctly, but there is no slot for the factory connector catch. So the catch has to be pried outside the connector housing when installed. Like I say; it works, kinda

Good harness, you may be able to do a simpler install with a different one. Note how I had to disassemble the old speaker mount to scavenge a harness and a connector to connect in a chain to complete the install as pictured. The Metra 72-8104 is a better option for me as it let me do the connection to factory connector with one harness that fits better inside the door. I bought a pack of those and threw this one out.

Does not fit stock 2006 Toyota Tundra JBL harness

Does not fit the 2006 Toyota Tundra Limited with the JBL system. So So So angry since I did not want to cut the factory harness. Called Crutchfield and the advisor was clueless about my issue. I sent photos but he could not understand and kept asking about other items I had installed. I ended up cutting the harness off and HATE the new speakers. The factory set up has two speakers in the lower door with a four-pronged harness supplying two speakers. they are soldered to the harness Factory speakers sounded better now I'm resplicing the harness. The first issue I've had with Crutchfield.

Don't get me wrong, I love it that Crutchfield provides these free with speaker purchases. but they didnt work. I ordered front and rear speakers for a 2003 Sequoia LTD with JBL sound, and these - the final connection to the harness looked right, but would not couple with the factor harness, I had to cut and crimp splice instead.

Actually a good product but Crutchfield said it would work on my 99 Mitsubishi 3000gt and it did not. The factory connectors have locks on them and you have to break the connector to get this harness to fit. Which in and of itself isn't a terribly big deal, but I bought these specifically so I wouldn't have to alter the factory connector.

1998 Mitsubishi Eclipse Spyder
Didn't "clip into" my factory clips in my 1998 Eclipse Spyder, I had to put a cable tie on them to prevent them from coming undone. Also the spade connectors have pretty poor quality control, they all seemed to be way too tight for my spades on my speakers. But hey, they worked and were included for free with my speakers.

Cons: Might require a little creativity or modification to do so.

harnesses work well and definitely simplify the process, but the fit to the original plug isn't perfect. there is room for the male end to wiggle a but in the harness, and there is no locking clip. I ended up taping the harness at the connection to ensure it stays in place- i would highly recommend the same.

These were not the correct adaptors for either my 88 Land Cruiser or my 94 Tercel. I suppose that is a system problem picking the wrong product. Quality looks good. probably work great in the proper application. Reused old wiring. Not worth trying to exchange for correct adaptors.

Fit correctly, but as with every metra speaker connector I've ever bough, the female connectors that go on the speaker are too tight. They always need opened up a little with a small flatblade, lest you want to break the lugs off the speaker.

The red crimp connectors on these adapters are slightly too narrow (not too thin) to plug onto the Rockford Fosgate T1693 6x9's I also got from Crutchfield. I had to cut them off and re-crimp new connectors.

This got added into my purchase of JBL Stage 602 speakers for my 2005 Prius. At no extra cost (go Crutchfield!). They replaced the usual cut/strip/splice steps of installation with plug/plug/tape-to-insure-it-stays (the vehicle side didn't "click" to lock into the connector). A definite time and hassle saver.

These are sooooo much easier than soldering fittings together to adapt the old plugs to the new ones. one thing that i would suggest however is buying a wrap to muffle the vibration. when there is a lot of base coming over the speakers, the plugs may vibrate against the frame of the car. i have yet to find the right wrap but that would be the only downside to these plugs. great job Crutchfield!

Very sleek, I was looking for an alternative to the factory power antenna and decided to do away with the oem hole, this tucked away nicely into the corner of the dash and gives me better reception than the factory setup!

I was a bit weary of placing an order for new speakers for my 2002 MINI Cooper as I had never done any electrical or stereo work on a car before, but Morgan from Customer Support reassured me that installing speakers on this car would be a simply process and that I could handle it no-sweat. Sure enough, he was right. Crutchfield included everything I needed to install a pair of Kicker 40CS654 speakers into my car. This adapter, the Metra 72-9301 Speaker Wiring Harness, was the key that enabled me to connect these new speakers to the connector in the door of my 2002 MINI Cooper without having to split any wires or solder anything.

connects to the harness on my 2005 Hyundai elantra but does not slide onto the leads on the Rockford Fosgate speakers I have. had to cut the quick slide connections for the speakers off and solder the wires to my speaker leads.
Pros: harness fit the factory connection.
Cons: quickslide connection wouldn't slide onto leads on Rockford Fosgate speakers.
