Great Fitment, Weak Plastic

Ben from LUBBOCK, TX on 7/14/2025

Verified employee review (What's this?)

Used for my 01' Jimmy front dash speakers. Holes lined up perfectly on my factory dash and the aftermarket speakers. Plastic did warp a good bit when I sandwiched the speaker in the bracket. Nbd, especially for a free bracket.

Love these! I used them in the front dash corners of a 1987 Mitsubishi Montero. I had to modify them slightly in the width and then mark them for mounting holes. The U-nuts made the install seamless and simple.

Was sent this bracket to install Kicker speakers for the dash of a 1999 s10 Blazer. The mounting holes were slightly off, drilled holes a little larger so screws would align. Also since this bracket was thicker than the original the speaker cover was raised up above the dash. Had to grind down the speaker cover mounting studs to compensate.

Worked great. I had ordered a different brand from another retailer but were cheap and flimsy. Sent them back and got this brand and this brand is made well and come with all hardware which the other brand didn't will buy again from other projects, this was used on a 1994 gmc Sierra C1500

Pros: Build good and comes with all hardware

Cons: Shipping a little high

thin plastic -- OK otherwise

Ryan from Sonora, CA on 12/4/2022

2005 GMC Sierra 1500

Verified employee review (What's this?)

haven't installed them in the truck yet, but pre-mounted speakers into the brackets ahead of time and the only issue i see is that the brackets flex super easily when the speakers have just two mounting tabs. the thin plastic wants to warp/bend when you tighten the speaker to the bracket. this might straighten itself out when installed in your vehicle. the speaker frame itself is not bending and i installed the insulation tape to prevent rattles so it "should" be OK. my recommendation for the manufacturer: use thicker plastic for the brackets. I will review this rating after installing in vehicle and give a final verdict.

Pros: pre-drilled holes match the speakers.

Cons: thin plastic bracket wants to warp/bend around the speaker screws.

I just bought a 93 Silverado from a sweet little old lady down the street, for a work truck. The radio no longer worked. figured I needed a new one, silly me I replaced the radio and still no sound. New speaker time. These worked perfectly for my new speakers in the truck. Crutchfield is my new go to for this type of stuff for all my resto mods.

Pros: Easy to use and works perfectly. Cheap

Cons: not one that I can think of.

Metra speaker adapter

These are a fantastic product in order to adapt round speakers into a automotive factory mount for normally sized 4x6 speakers.

Pros: Universal. All auto manufacturers use different adapters, and hole alignments. These fit the need perfectly

Cons: None, easy and versatile.

They do what they are supposed to

Josh S from NH on 5/8/2015

Verified employee review (What's this?)

I ordered these on accident, needed 4" adapter but these were right above them in the product list and I didn't pay attention to the description. They are straight forward to use and will work if you have 3.5" speakers to fit in a 4x6 opening. If you're a dope like me and you have 4" speakers, get the scoshe adapters. I have used these metra adapters before, on my last Sierra in the extended cab doors, and they do what they are designed to do and come with all hardware you may need. They don't come with instructions but honestly you shouldn't need them. Have a drill handy as you will most likely need to drill holes on the vehicle panel to mount these, then speaker screws right onto adapter.

Pros: Easy to install (may need to drill)

Cons: None
