Poorly designed. The tweeters I selected would not fit behind the factory door panel grill. A simple 1/4" recess would have fixed the problem without having to resort to a lot of extra work. All tweeter options for my vehicle would have the same problem.

Perfect, once you know what's needed

These are great, perfect fit for flush mounting on a 2020 Tacoma and a 2010 Prius. They fill their function ... once you understand what's needed. Be sure to watch some videos on flush-mounting tweeters if you are new to installing. I'm familiar with tools and already had everything I needed [driver, drill, hole-saw of the right size (go a cm+ wider than the actual speaker)], but I still had to figure out how to shape the brackets, tension clips, hardware, etc. I ended up designing my own way to tightly secure the tweeter to the bracket.... not only one way to install these and not just plug and play with anything requiring this part.

Worked awesome and was able to retain my factory speaker grille. FYI, you have to mount the plastic piece on the under side of the tweeter bracket from Toyota in order to clear the grille

Good Universal Brackets

Does not fot jeep rollbar tweeters

They do not work on the jeep wrangler 2 door roll bar tweeters. 2017 jeep wrangler JK 2 door, non alpine. Had to over drill out the holes and use small washers. Should have been an easygoing drop in . Why sell adaptor that does not fit!!

Plate is not plug and play!

This a generic adapter plate. For a Toyota, you will need to ground down the plate to fit and make the speaker hole. If you are using aftermarket tweeters, you may need to make a support to attach to this plate. Expect to use fabrication skills when using this adapter.

Need circle saw drill bit

These are nice once you put them in the correct way. But I didn't know I was gunna have to drive to ace hardware and Lowe's to buy a $23 circle saw drill bit which had to be 1' 9/16 for the JBL Stadium tweeters but didn't even get 1' 9/16 because of course with my luck they didn't have it just like how they never have what I need so I got 1' 1/2 and then had to carve the rest out with a drill bit so it could fit.

Absolutely useless if you order Kicker KS and are installing on a 2020 Toyota Tacoma. The Kickers came with the exact brackets you need. I would hate to have to use these things. Involves a lot of cutting.

This item worked in my 2016 Subaru Crosstrek for mounting the tweeters in the existing dash tweeter location, but I wish it was a more direct application rather than a somewhat universal adapter. I had to get a cheap set of hole saws for my drill and I also had to snip off one of the mounting holes because they got in the way of the install.

I was lucky I had the correct hole saw that was the right size to cut an opening for the tweeter to set in. Otherwise it was a perfect match to the hardware in the Toyota. Made mounting the tweeter a snap!

These get the job done and are cheap plastic mounting brackets. Nothing fancy and most likely will need to be modified. Under my configuration I had to drill out a 1" hole in the center of them so I could recess the tweeters down for fitment on my Forester.

I used these for Tacoma 2018, and it did require some modifications, like a drill hole saw, some hack sawing, fortunately the tweeters I bought had a few ways to mount from the box, and then having to make those was not too difficult.

Cutting holes in the brackets to mount the speakers with a hole saw was a surprise, but I made it work. The Rockfor Fosgate R165 S tweeters have a diameter between hole saw sizes, though. Either they don't fit with 1-3/4 hole, or are too loose and th retention rings barely keep the speakers form falling out. I wound up adding spots of silicon adhesive to get a firmer mount between the bracket and speaker. The brackets+ speakers fit in my vehicle without issue after doing this.

Not recommended for 2nd gen Tacomas

I purchased these to go with some JL C1-690 component speakers. These mounting brackets are not flush with the door bracket as they bend if you tighten the bolts all the way. After I had the tweeters installed on the plates, I realized that the tweeter stuck out too far, and I was not able to get the door panel back on. the solution was to mount the plate behind the door bracket using only 1 bolt, and zip tieing the other side.

Gets the job done

These brackets fit the front and rear tweeter locations in my 2018 Sequoia with minor modifications. These adapters (obviously) required a hole saw to cut out the tweeter hole and also the removal of one interfering screw tab. The latter was easy to clip off with wire cutters.

Using a hole saw melted the plastic. I had to carve off the melted plastic on the backside of the cut. Made the installation look poor. Good thing that it is hidden under the sound bar screen.

'13 Tacoma Fit Great

Holes lined up with '13 Tacoma tweeter mount. Slight dremel used to remove groove that prevented adapter from fitting completely flat.

They do what they're meant to do.

I wasn't sure how to use these when I got them. When I realized that I would have to cut them to shape I was a little disappointed but that's because I had the wrong expectations. These are disks with screw holes in the correct place for my `21 Tacoma. I laid the OEM tweeter mounting brackets over these, lined up the holes and then traced the outline. Next I measured the diameter of the mounting ring for my new tweeters and traced that on as well. After some cutting and filing they were ready to go and did what they were supposed to do.

Drill the hole out yourself, but works fine

There is a small dot in the center to tap your drill bit. Tap a small hole with a small bit, go slow with the larger bit and get your drill up to speed before enlarging the hole and you'll be fine. I used a dremel to finish mine off and put some small gasket tape for a tight seal.

I used these to install some tweeters in the factory dash location of a 2011 Toyota Sienna. The brackets worked great and made for a very clean install. I did need to modify them a little to make them fit but not a huge deal. The material is easy to trim with an oscillating tool.

These worked great in mounting an aftermarket set of tweeters in a 2016 Subaru Impreza hatchback. I used a hole saw to make the opening and then secured the tweeter cup with super glue. In hindsight, the super glue was overkill.

This is one of those free addons that I never actually look at. I was all excited to install my speakers and then I discovered that it requires a hole saw. Welp, shelving my speaker install for a couple weeks. Tweeters probably have some basic sizes they follow and it sure would be nice if these had perforations or punch-outs.

Works great for my 2021 Chevy Colorado. I was worried they wouldn't work because if you check on these, they are not made for this truck. To make the hole for the tweeter, I screwed these onto a piece of old 2x4 that I had and then used a hole saw to cut out the size of the tweeter.

May have clearance issues

Depends on height of your tweeter. If it protrudes as a flush-mount it might interfere with the factory grill. I used these for a 2016 tundra, and ended up using these more as brackets as I had to recess the tweeters (JL C5s) on a plate I mounted below them. Came free with the tweeters so can't complain too much!
