Good brackets. Instructions could be improved

The mounting brackets are fine, but the instructions were lacking. You need to pay close attention and check out the orientation these need to be in prior to installing your speakers into them. There is a square hole on one end. That end needs to be installed "up" when placing these in the doors of a Toyota Camry (mine is a 2014). The small square hole is where the speaker wires route through to connect to the factory housing. Get your speakers installed upside down and the harness won't be long enough to reach the factory connector. So check for that square hole before installing your speakers to ensure they will be facing the correct direction. The instructions from Crutchfield also don't tell you which direction to install the speakers into the bracket. It's obvious once you take the door panels off and see the factory speakers, but the instructions direct you to install the speakers into the bracket prior to disassembling the door panel. Ends up, they only can go in one way. But a simple picture of the speaker orientation into the bracket would help save a little time. Not entirely necessary, but would be nice.

Brackets made installation easy

These brackets made mounting the speakers very easy. My only nitpick on these is that the screws to connect the speakers to the brackets should be included, since you need short 0.3875 inch length screws.

These brackets are for 6x9 speaker's front doors, I own a 2014 Highlander and they attach with four screws to the door, two of them match the other two are offset, please talk to METRA to fix this.

2016 Toyota Camry XLE without the JBL system.

These fit my doors perfectly, but like a few of the reviews I've found my 6X9 JBL GTO 939's didn't fully line up with all 4 holes in the bracket. I had to use the JBL supplied screws to drill a new hole. They were secure as long as I didn't over tighten them, and they kept the big magnet from coming into contact with my window or anything else in my door.

Useless 6"x9" Mounting Bracket

The mounting brackets I received were useless. On one hand, the hole pattern for my Toyota was perfect - I did not need to elongate the holes to fit, they were correct as manufactured. On the other hand, the hole pattern for the aftermarket 6"x9" speakers was so far off, I could not use the brackets. I trashed them because there is no way to modify these holes. The aftermarket speaker 6"x9" hole pattern has been standard and the same for decades. There is no excuse for these brackets being manufactured incorrectly. Fortunately, Kicker supplied brackets that worked with some modification to fit my Toyota. Crutchfield erroneously shipped two sets of these brackets to me - both sets were manufactured incorrectly.

PERFECT for Lexus OEM Replacement Project

These brackets made adapting my new Pioneer TS-G690 6x9 speakers to replace the factory front door speakers in my Lexus ES350 a BREEZE, perfect fit! Crutchfield's customer service rep was in-the-know and right on with my order - which BTW was shipped very promptly. You can't go wrong with Crutchfield, I'm a fan!

Mounting plate fit well into my car with outer screw holes, however the inner screw holes that the speaker itself is meant to attach to are useless. They are half open, so the screw is essentially threading into nothing. Unlike other mounts that Metra sells this comes with no hardware to secure these screws so you'll have to use whatever you have and hope it holds. Crutchfield had no advice on the matter other than to offer different sized screws.

I don't know why an adapter for 6x9's wouldn't quite fit with a pair of Rockford Fosgate 6x9's. It just 4 screws. I had to use self tapping screws, kind of annoying. But the adapter fit just fine on the Camry doors.

Perfect fit

Perfect fitment for 2015 SE Camry, front doors. These are for front doors only, not gonna fit your rear speakers. Used with Pioneer TS-G690 for great results. I did get shorter screws #8 3/4" pan head metal screws, this eliminates the screws from protruding on the other side. No idea why the included screws are way too long.

These fit the car perfectly, but the screw mounts were very brittle. Be gentle... I originally put 6" rounds in the front doors using the Metra 82-8148 and they were very solid. Although I needed to alter them w/out instructions.

Works for the front, not the rear

Works perfect for the front doors. They do not work at all for the rear deck. I was installing new speakers for my mom & luckily I had my skew driver & self tapping screws because I had to make my own holes.
