Don't buy it! When I get an incoming call and about 15 seconds after call ends the whole stereo will shut off then turn back on and I loose all my setting. Total junk

The face of the unit did pass though the dashboard bezel. With minor modification up and down, left to right I was able to make a perfect fit with out using the face frame provided in the mounting kit. I'm still learning the unit. So far I would say it's a good unit

Instructions were clear and installing the Metra 95-2001 Dash Kit onto the the Kenwood DPX504BT and mounting in the dashboard was a breeze.

This dash installation kit will do the job. Could be a better fitment.
Pros: It will do the job
Cons: Could be better quality material and not so flimsy. Could snap together so you did not have to feel like you needed a third hand to slip the head unit in while holding it together. Does not line up with screw holes exactly. Be sure you square it up on the head unit and keep it so as you install screws. Might be better if it was not designed to be used in a hundred different vehicles.

Fits the radio and holds it in my dash. Not the centerpiece, but can't do without it. I rate it 4 stars because the plastic tabs that hold the sides on didn't fit real well. I understand it's plastic for cost control, but in nearly 30 years of swapping out car radios, I have never once taken out a factory head that was in a plastic mounting bracket. Wish there was an option to get these in metal.

Doesn't quite fit. The top edge of the face plate is below the dash bezel, which leaves a small gap. On the bottom edge, the entire face plate and bottom of the radio screen are covered by the dash bezel. To correct the alignment the side pieces have to be modified to raise the radio 1/8" up.
Pros: Easy to install.
Cons: Not the best fit.

The holes did not match the hole pattern in the radio too well. I had to open the side the of the slot a little. Easy since it's plastic, but still, one would have expected a better. Otherwise, the front trim fit well and gives the finished product a nice appearance.

Feels very cheap, but it's not exactly an expensive part. Fits together easily enough but the holes int he mounting plate did not line up with the holes in the Boss BE7ACP stereo I was installing. if one side was correct the other was about 1/16 too high or low. Finally managed to get it to work using only a couple of screws, which hopefully will be secure enough.
Pros: Cheap, fits the car

I was disappointed because I ordered the whole bundle to get everything with the stereo connections delt with but come to find out the dash kit did not fit and there's a gap all on the edge of my stereo the trim I received has sharp corners as my dash has more of a round finish in the edges so it did not fit, not only that the chime on the pac RP5-gm11 is really distorted.
Pros: Everything was there nothing missing
Cons: Directions could have been more clear Dash kit did not fit my truck. Chime sounds bad. (And I did adjust the volume)

I'm on my second set of this product. Once I figured out that you have to pull the trim ring off the front of the Boss BV765BLC (that I saw nowhere in the instructions), it fit around the radio. But, it does not center it well in the dash. It sits low, leaving a gap at the top and does not let the dash bezel set flat creating other gaps around other items in the dash. Yes, I have called support.

This worked fine my only thought would be it should come with its own screws. Since the stereo has its own brackets the screws for the stereo were to short to fit through the thicker plastic. The other option would be to use a thing metal for the side pieces so its more in line with the size/thickness of what the stereo normally uses.

This is another great product. I was able to mount my new head unit in the exact same fashion as the factory unit. Additionally, the trim piece has very clean and snug fit making my new unit look 100% factory.

Happy with the final product, the installation instructions lacked a bit had to call for tech support to get some clarity. One beef I have is, why isn't the cable long enough to meet the requirements. I had to go and purchase an extension. Not cool.

2002 Chevrolet Blazer
Purchased this kit for two separate GM vehicles, a 2002 Blazer as well as a 2002 Pontiac Aztek. Both kits ended up not being centered for the vehicle dash trim and sat low roughly 1/8 - 3/16". The trim is actually being blocked by the trim. I had to open up the holes in the plastic dash kit in order to position the radio centered in the correct position.
Pros: Easy to assemble.
Cons: Poor quality control. Poor fit.

Very weak & holes don't line up properly with the stereo I bought. Brackets broke easily when I attempted to modify to fit... Plan on going to a local retail location for a replacement kit, as I don't think a replacement of the exact same kit will work satisfactorily.
