Need modification to work w/Pioneer

The holes in the side brackets do not align for the Pioneer 2700NEX and 2770NEX (maybe others) if you want the screen to be flush with the front bezel. I had to use a file to slot 3 of the 4 fastener locations each side. Not sure why this is the recommended bracket when purchasing one of these for Pioneer models? I did make it work and it looks fine after modifications.

Good fit, good price

Dashkit fit my 2007 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 dashboard well, but small defect in bezel plastic makes it less than perfect. Rating with 3 Stars due to flaw in plastic that is small but highly visible as it's right over center of Media Receiver screen. This flaw takes away from the asthetics of the install and should have been caught during a quality control inspection.

Metra 95-3304 Dash Kit

Screw hold in side brackets did not align at all with Pioneer radio. Bottom of front bezel is curved, which leaves a large and unsightly gap between the radio and the bezel. Used Scosche GM1595B ordered elsewhere instead, which was a perfect fit.

It's a nice piece, outer portion is curved to match factory console but the head unit sits too far back and leaves a gap between the screen and the frame. I had to modify the side brackets and use washers to keep everything in place. No big deal but would be nice if you didn't have to do that to get it to look right. This was on my 2007 corvette.

Small bracket screwd

Retainer screws that came with kit seem very short and looks like screw heads will pull thru bracket very easily, also no matter how I moved bracket around, I could only get two acres in right side, but must admit they worked ok

Dash kit fit well in 2008 Corvette C6, looks very similar to factory install. Plastic casing, but looks pretty solid and again is similar to the plastic from the factory install.

For a pioneer 4660NEX this will not work, trim is to big and leaves big noticeable gaps.

I was not happy with how this worked with my Boss head unit. The head unit sat too far back and left a noticeable gap at the bottom of the opening. I had to file out the holes in the bracket to move the head unit forward. I'm sure the mounting holes in other head units line up better with the Metra bracket but it's not a great fit with my Boss BE7ACP.

It's ok

So I did receive this with my Receiver when I placed my order. However it is not good quality. Both the top and bottom are bowed inward. I placed some foam at the top to try and make it look like it fits but that did not work. I guess I will just leave it until I can find a suitable replacement. It is easy to install though. This is not Crutchfields fault, it is the manufacturer that made it. I did talk to tech support and they said "this is how it's made.

Disappointing fit.

In my 2010 C6 Corvette the trim ring had to go in one way to fit. The mounting brackets are labeled right and left but with the ring turned the correct direction the mounting brackets had to be reversed. This required drilling new holes to mount it to my Alpine head unit.

Works as it should (mostly) for a piece of plastic. It met my needs to install the Pioneer double din head unit in the standard GM opening of my corvette. I would have given it 5 stars but my removable face plate that has a motorized opening tends to get caught on the opening. not sure if the head unit or the dash kit is the culprit but thought it might help people while thinking of purchasing this one.

Simple to install

Nice fit and easy to install. It only took a couple minutes to mount the radio in it and it fit perfectly in the car. The only thing I didn't like is that the front has a slight curve to it. My radio has a flat front and this leaves a slight gap in the middle at the top & bottom.

Looks good, but not exactly universal

This kit looks good when installed in my C6 Corvette. As a universal kit, I guess you can't expect it to be perfect with every combination of stereo and car. To make this fit with the Alpine ILX-W650, I had to use a file to get the holes on this kit to line up with the holes on the radio. Subtracting 1 star from my rating because it needed to be modified to work. The good news is that the modifications did not take long to do.

Fit and finish is horrible on the front bezel. Had to buy one from another company and redo the install in my Corvette since there was a 5-10mm gap on the bottom due to the curved fave but the bottom not having any thickness. Had they mad it like the top, it would have been ok

C6 instructions are wrong.

Fits great, however, on a C6 vette the instructions are wrong making the L and R tabs reversed. Frustrating to have to dissemble the entire install to reverse the bracket!

Basically required for install into my 2008 Corvette with a double din head unit. Fit pretty well, but not all of the holes aligned with the Kenwood unit. Enough did, but the "universal" feature was showing pretty clearly. Still a good deal.

You can see in the product photo that there are left a right brackets and a face plate. I got 2 left brackets in my kit. Car is all disassembled and ready for install and I am stopped on a long weekend. Check all parts before you tear your car apart!

Metra 95-3304 Dash Kit

Could not use as designed. When I put the new head unit in and lined up the screws, the face was not mounted flush. I flipped it over and put the side marked right to the left side and left side to the right it mounted flush. Only two screws of four are in appropriate holes. The other two are just in cutouts where the screws did catch just enough of the edge to secure the unit. It works, but isn't perfect. Luckily it's out of sight.
