Nothing fancy and does the job. In this case the finish does a decent job of matching the car interior - but ymmv.

Seems better that the typical Dodge plastics. Didn't have they same textured sides like original part but looks good. The radio opening required a bit of work to allow better fitment of the stereo but nothing that a rotary tool and sandpaper couldn't fix.

Well made , but not a fantastic fit.
Jackie from Phoenix, AZ on 4/29/2022
2003 Dodge Grand Caravan
It fits well in 2003 grand caravan. However, I needed to modify some things behind the stock stereo to fit the double din. The space for the double din (Pyle) is not a fantastic fit. It definitely looks like an amateur installed it. Also, the sliding cup holder will not close all the way anymore. But it looks nice and my cup holder is always out anyway.
Pros: Well made and easy to install
Cons: Needs mods for double din inside dash and can cause certain dash items to not fit properly.

Great fitment
Crutchfield customer from Philadelphia, PA on 12/17/2021

This was a life saver once I thoroughly read the instructions and understood them. I had issues when fiest trying to snap it in, that's when I notice a didn't perform the necessary sub daah modifications to allow the HVAC controls housing to fit in without obstruction (I had to cut away some tabs that were originally ment for the OEM lower tray). Once that was sorted out everything waa smooth sailing. Definitely not for someone who feels uncomfortable modifying their sub dash. Trims up the head unit well. There are larger gaps between the edges of the trim than with the OEM trim. I was expecting this though. Works great and because I bundled everything needed for the install I ended up saving lots of as opposed to buying everything in separate order to avert a large order. I am definitely pleased.
Pros: Allows you to install an aftermarket head unit with a larger screen into your vehicle. Everything transfered over easily (just don't over tighten screws of items transferring over. The plastic seems thinner than the OEM trim) *** My vehicle 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT Head unit BOSS BE7ACP**" Installation is pretty simple and you get everything you need to mount your head unit in the vehicle
Cons: None really. My only gripe is that this doesn't fit in as snug as the OEM trim piece. The gaps are significantly larger around the edges. I pretty much knew this before even installing.

Works but.....

So yes, this will fit the your Chrysler minivan. However the process won't be easy and unfortunately Crutchfield failed to support it by packaging up the correct instruction sheets in an easily locatable way. I followed the "custom install sheet for your vehicle" which was a joke frankly and didn't really address the realities of this job. Perhaps there are other sheets provided online which I simply never noted? At any rate yes there is sub-dash you have to saw out. As it turns out if you own the Town and Country like I do the the pocket at the bottom is screwed into the subdash and technically needs to be removed in order for this dash kit to work. Again, since I didn't have a good instruction sheet I didn't know that and wasted a lot of time in 90 degree heat trying to figure it out and not before I sawed out the pocket that is built into this. Thankfully you can modify the internal bay that technically has to be removed to actually fit with this dash panel. Its not perfect but it works. But I would recommend simply removing it when you do it which I should have done. On the '06 T&C the mounting bracket leaves a lot to be desired and currently it is still mounted too far back in my car leaving gaps between the dash panel and the radio. It is polymer so I could probably modify it if I can't find another workable solution but after 4 days in 90 degree heat working on this I'm "done" for now.

Fits OK, finish may vary
RM from Longview, WA on 6/11/2020

Works OK, but only just. Better than cutting a hole in the stock panel. The finish isn't even and it looks non-original, with molding marks and waves. You can tell it's cheaper plastic. This is the only double DIN kit for the 01-07 Chrysler/Dodge minivans and I'm surprised they still make it. I used it for mounting a Sony XAV-AX7000. This radio has a single DIN chassis, at the top half and didn't require cutting the sub dash apart. I did have to notch the sub dash to the right of the AC control to get it to snap on. Put the metal clips on tight before mounting and they work fine. The radio wasn't centered properly so I embiggened the locator pin holes in the dash and shimmed the deck to center it. This takes patience.
Pros: Only double DIN option for these vehicles
Cons: cheap, poorly molded plastic. Doesn't look exactly original.

Could be better but it worked
Crutchfield customer from Meridian, ID on 1/30/2020
2005 Dodge Grand Caravan
The dash kit worked mostly OK. I had to use a rotary tool to remove the left and right edge of the stereo frame and after that it was a perfect fit. Also, I realized that the metallic clips from the original panel worked better so I used those. It was a bit hard to be able to clip it, I discovered that it was easier to first insert the right side, then push from the left to insert the left side. Finally, I wish the new panel had the same texture as the original, but other than that, it is a great option to install a double DIN stereo. My wife is happy with her new stereo installation and she says it looks very good.
Pros: It allows for the installation of a double DIN stereo
Cons: Requires slight modifications and the installation can be a bit hard (it appears that the plastic tabs are not a perfect fit).

If it wasn't for the fact that this dash kit technically works, there is no way I'd recommend it. Forget about using the retaining clips that come with it. They don't work, and you'll find yourself prying the original retainers off of the original trim to install the new one. The bolt holes that hold the hazard switch panel in place are larger than the bolts are, so they don't hold either. You'll find yourself running either to the store or to your spare bolts and screws box to find something the correct size. The universality of the radio mounts will almost definitely mean trying different positions to try to center the radio properly. Aside from my qualms with the build quality of the dash kit itself, keep in mind that this is designed to fit a double din radio in a 1.5 din hole. I didn't realize it beforehand, but that requires taking a hacksaw to the plastic supports inside of your dash. I'm not saying that this kit doesn't work because I made it work. I will say that I wish I had just gotten a single din radio though. I feel that this wasn't worth it.

However I would purchase again in a heart beat Great radio and customer service. Thank you Eric.

Great Part
Gene from Dryden, WA on 11/6/2017

Love how this part makes the transformation complete. Though installing based on instructions weren't very precise. Needed to remove a piece by cutting out and did that but there was two other tabs in the way that also needed cut out so the panel could be snapped in place. The new mount clips seem to fall off and hard to snap in.
Pros: Factory Look
Cons: Install instructions not specific to model of vehicle

Doesn't fit properly
Ryan from Whitehall , MI on 10/22/2017
2006 Dodge Grand Caravan
Switching the heating vents over as well as the heating controls was the easy part. Getting this to fit with the supplied metal tabs was ridiculous. I had to use the factory ones. The ones supplied with this kit were half the size of the factory ones and would not engage. Also, good luck trying to get the plastic cover on it for a finished look. It doesn't fit behind the panel. Or in front of it either. I am regretting going to a double din for my vehicle.
Pros: Resembles factory piece.
Cons: Clips are too short for fastening it to the dash board. Opening for stereo is too small to accommodate the front plate for the stereo.
