Perfect fit. Looks great and is very sturdy! Running a Pioneer AVH-W4400NEX. Harness was installed and everything works as designed, including illumination. Super helpful that the Pioneer harness matches all the colors of the Metra harness too!

Purchased kit to install Kenwood Excelon DMX905S double-din in 2004 Honda Accord. Kit fit the accord just fine, but for some reason, the Kenwood would not slide into opening. I ended up using rotary tool to enlarge opening a bit. Not sure if it was the kit or stereo that was off ; was under the impression that double-din size was standard.

Fits Perfectly!

Integrates nicely in my '03 Honda Accord EX. The Metra is a slightly darker color than the dash material but it's slightly recessed and a non-issue for me.

This is a simple dash kit for a Honda Accord pocket. It is a clean install, fit my JVC perfectly and lots of extra screws/hardware. Some reviews call it flimsy, but it worked fine for me. This is temp solution, as the original factory stereo stays in the dash. Crutchfield provided it as part of my new radio unit purchase so I can't complain. Works exactly as advertised.

This kit doesn't replace the stock stereo opening. Is adds the new stereo below your old car stereo. If you want a clean professional look you will need the other dash replacement kit.

Had a family friend insert this into my 2007 Honda Accord Coupe, fits well. Didn't give him too much trouble. Everything you need besides the stereo itself. Much better alternative than the $250+ alternative for replacing the entire face of the stock stereo.

Hi, I have never had this many problems with anything Crutchfield sold. In fact, I never had any problems with install kit from them before. The directions for my accord were poor. We had to spend hours on the phone with support. Then we still had to remove old unit just to get to the antenna wire. After that, we had to carve the side pieces of the installation kit just so that the screws sent would barely catch the cd player... the instructions noted a metal case but, they switched to cheaper plastic but didn't change to longer screws. Let the buyer beware on this one... unusual for a good company!

Did the trick. Extra star for the really low price, especially compared to the Metra kit replaces the OEM head unit and has climate controls. One big near gotcha for my install on a 2006 Honda Accord: I recommend _not_ reinstalling the bottom screws that hold the OEM head unit in place. Only the ones at the top under the air vents, and rely on the snap tab on the low end of the face to hold the head unit. Why? The OEM cubby is easy to remove in a straight line, as you can hold the door, or put your hand inside. With the Metra kit and a double DIN radio, the assembly pivots on the snap tabs, pointing the assembly up. If you try to pull it that way, it hits the V-shaped bottom of the radio. There's no convenient way to grab the face and get it to come out straight. Insult to injury, you wouldn't be able to remove the OEM radio out of the way, because the screws on the bottom would be behind the Metra kit with the new radio.that's pivoting and getting blocked by the OEM radio(!). If you leave the bottom screws off, you can pop the air vents, unscrew the top screws, then the OEM radio can come out, freeing the Metra+head unit assembly.

Leave the factory radio IN & plug into it.

I pre-wired this to a pioneer deck going from a Toyota Camry into an '03 Civic Sedan. Following the provided master sheet, the whole process WOULD have taken only minutes. What I was unaware of was that one of the plugs ties BACK into the factory radio. Once Crutchfield's tech explained this to me, it was up up and running in minutes. Easy!

Kit fits good. Instructions were good. Fit and finish are good. The screen for my Pioneer AVH-X5800BHS just touches the shifter when I eject a disc while the car is in park. Overall, I am happy with the finished look.

I didn't do the install. I had the local car stereo store do it for me. It looks great and closely matches the plastic just above it on the dash of my 2006 Honda. It was great that I could retain the factory heating and air conditioning controls.

Does its job

Installation was mostly good. The fit was fine, but attaching the bottom of the dash kit with the factory screws was a CHALLENGE. Overall, it's a very good dash kit, and I like that I could install this in the lower pocket of my Accord, and not lose the factory climate controls.

Installation kit is designed to install radio in lower front storage compartment in center console, not in original radio/navigation location. It works well but is not ideal location for radio. Gear shift blocks view of radio, especially while in Park.

Haven't installed this product yet. It's going into my wife's car. She was a little disappointed there isn't a kit for her particular honda that would have her double din in a higher view. Besides that, seems everything will be smooth and look factory like.

Very nice double din car kit. Everything I needed to complete the job was included in the kit. The wiring was a breeze with the color coded matching cables. What i like about this setup is that my original radio still has functions like the o'clock and ac features so its not a space taker.

It was relatively easy to install beneath the factory installed radio. I found that taking the OEM radio out gave me access to the original radio's harnesses a lot easier. It wasn't a big job as youtube has lots of videos for that. I was then able to get the harnesses down for the new radio a lot easier. The only downside is the antenna came in from the right side on the original. It's not long enough to make an easy connection to the new radio with the antenna input on the left side and my hands were too big to let me connect it while in place.Harnesses went together well. I soldered all connections to keep any noise problems to a minimum. I'd recommend this unit to anyone for their 2003 - 2007 Accord. Get a 12 inch antenna extender with it though, even if the new one has a right side connection. It'll make this so much easier.

Gets the job done in a case where factory radio must also remain

Works fine to install system in Honda Accords (why Honda couldn't have a better factory location is beyond me). Wiring loom works fine (-1 star for it not having the steering wheel controls wired in by default). So far it holds my double DIN ratio solid with no rattles squeeks or movement. Not the best position for a radio but given how Honda designed/constructed the dash this was the best that could be done. Installs easily if you read the instructions and follow the youtube videos online.

Great for 2003 Accord

I didn't want to replace the factory radio and HVAC buttons in my 2003 Honda Accord, so I opted to buy this dash kit from Metra to install a new head unit. The kit replaces the extra storage pocket found beneath the factory radio/HVAC. Fit and finish seem to be nice. Install was super easy and pops in once you have the radio mounted. Unit stays flush with factory trim and color is similar to other materials found within the cabin. Overall I would recommend to other Accord owners.

For the price you can't get anything better. I love that the wiring harness is included. Crutchfield was the only place I could find this kit with the wiring included and it was best priced. I was able to keep the functionality of my air conditioning controls . My doubled din Kenwood fit perfectly in this dash kit

Overall a great product

I have been looking at replacing my factory head unit for quite a while but was not happy with the adapter plates to integrate the factory AC controls when replacing that panel, this was the perfect solution to be able to leave the factory Radio/AC panel in place and get the new Nav/Head unit I've been wanting. The instructions were good, and the installation went very well. Looks clean and well engineered when installed. I wanted to give this 5 stars because the overall end product turned out to be better than I expected. I had to drop one star because the wire adapter included had problems with splitting the power to the new radio. I had to cut the wires and install splices in the Battery and Switched Power wires, I suspect this was with the termination on the pins as I was able to poke a pin through the insulation and get continuity in the wire but would not work to the pin. Fortunately my background is in electronics and I had the tools and supplies to test and fix this.

Radio Looks Good

I bought this kit for my local guy to install an Alpine 265BT in my 2006 Honda Accord. It did the job and I think it looks good. Can't really tell it's an after-market kit. It just fits in the car like it belongs there. No complaints.

This worked great in my 2003 Honda Accord LX. It fits perfectly, and the radio looks like it was always there. The tech installing it said he didn't have any problems. I put in a double DIN radio (Pioneer FH-X720BT), and its looks great.
