This component was actually one of the few installation steps that went well. The bracket was plastic, but seemed strong enough to support the much lighter after-market head unit (vs. the OEM unit). The instructions were clear!

Fit and finish is good, could be better by being made of metal. But I understand how it works. Price point and cheaper to manufacture. Overall very happy with it

Cons: Plastic instead of metal. But what aftermarket dash kit has metal brackets?

Everything fit perfectly. Final install looks great. My car model came with a dark, black, woodgrain finish which is not common in all Acura's. This trim piece has a more typical matte black finish. So it doesn't perfectly match the glossier, woodgrain finish of the car but I was aware of this when I made the purchase. Still very happy with it. Overall install really brings this 15+ year old car up to today's standards.

The bezel material is a perfect match with my 2001 Acura MDX panels. I was skeptical about replacing the original metal brackets with the plastic brackets but they are fine.

The fit, finish and color are a perfect match to the original trim. The brackets are plastic vs. the metal that holds the factory trim, but it fits and holds the radio secure.

Pros: Looks like it came with the car.

Made of cheap plastic. The bezel color matches but not the finish. I reused the sturdy metal side brackets rather than the flexible plastic ones in this kit.

Pros: Fits. Color matches.

Cons: Cheap plastic. Brushed finish on original doesn't match this plain finish.

Exact fit for my car. Although the mount holes didn't match 100% for the radio I purchased only allowing me to get 2 mounting screws instead of 4.

The harness was easy to install and fit very nicely into the dash. Lines are very clean. A high gloss option would be nice so that it matches better with the headunit I installed. My only gripe if you want to call it that is the plastic felt a little flimsy. While installing, I was worried if I pushed a little too hard I could crack/damage the harness.

Pros: Excellent fit.

Cons: Flimsy plastic that felt a like a little too much pressure and it could crack.

This product was perfect fit for my 2002 Acura MDX with Bose and was super easy to install too. I also bought the wire harness which was super easy to install as well. My five year old daughter was able to help with the wiring it was so easy.
