54 Chevy Truck - Universal Underdash Double-DIN Receiver Kit

I installed the receiver kit beneath the dash of my 54 Chevy 3100 with a Kenwood DMX709S receiver. The local stereo install shop wanted crazy $ to install a similar system (JL sub, Sound Ordinance amp and Kicker speakers) in my truck. With a little research and great product choices from Crutchfield, I saved the cash, did it myself and am sure the local shops system wouldn't have looked or sounded any better. I'm really happy with the way it turned out. When the head unit is off, it all but disappears due to the black ABS and black carpet. If I ever wanted to remove it, no damage was done to my truck dash.

Motorhome Dashtop mount

While looking at pictures submitted by customers, I saw where this had been used to install a large A/V unit on the Motorhome dash. This solved a problem I was having with my installation where the original radio was installed facing the driver and not accessible by the passenger. More excellent Crutchfield service and support.

Worked great for my golf cart stereo system installation. Vas concerned about material strength, but when assembled it is rock solid (did use a little hot glue for insurance).

It ok the install instructions are not clear and the holes on the back for wires need to be a little bigger. For the price it is worth it

much-needed upgrade to my RV

I use this unit to install a Kenwood head unit on top of the dash in my RV. I went to Lowe's and got some color match paint to paint the housing. this housing was exactly what I needed for my project this housing was exactly what I needed for my project

At first I thought this was a little big when I got it, but when I was installing it, there was room for the wires. Plus it already has pre-drilled holes in the back for the wires.

Universal Underdash Double-DIN Receiver Kit

I bought this to install under the glove box on a bass boat. A double sized pioneer reciever will not fit in it without cutting and drilling. I made the opening in it bigger and drilled the back to put some hold down bolts on it. It will work and look good, But it is not an easy install.
