About the Metra 99-5825 Dash Kit

Jon Paul
Your 2011-19 Ford Fiesta is a great car, but the design of the stock console makes it impossible to upgrade the factory radio. The Metra 99-5825 dash kit allows you to install an aftermarket DIN-sized (2" tall) receiver in the dash panel without losing access to the heating, ventilation, and air conditioning controls. Available in Black or Silver, this kit is a perfect match for the colour, texture, and contours of your Fiesta's dash.

Q
What connectors do I need in addition to this kit? I have a 2017 Fiesta SE sedan with sync, and phone/volume buttons on the steering wheel. Mine does not have the stock Sony radio or the fancy LCD display, just the cheapo factory stereo. Will this kit allow use of the steering wheel buttons? Continued use of hte USB by the EBrake?

The ability to retain steering wheel controls with aftermarket receivers will be determined by the receiver you are using and the vehicle you have. For full information on this type of integration (including the parts you will need) please contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat.

Q
Hello, I have the 2014 Ford Fiesta Hatcback w/ Sync. This dash kit looks perfect for my car but when I put that my car has sync, it says "Does not fit your car". But when I put that my vehicle DOESNT have Sync, it says "It fits". I don't really use my the Sync capability so I'm wondering if this would still work for my car without using sync.? Thank you

Hi, I installed this in my 2014 Fiesta also. You will lose Sync capability which is not a great loss as it didn't work very well. Fit is good but lights don't match dash lights
david  Feb 13, 2019
A
It should still work, it just doesn't have the technology or adapters to work with Sync. It will fit, you'll just lose the Sync function.

Q
Will there be any chance you Guys will be coming out with a double din option for the 2017 Ford Fiesta se sedan? I can only find a single din

Thanks for your question! We (Crutchfield) don't actually manufacture the vehicle-specific dash kits and installation hardware ourselves--so double DIN installation in your '17 Fiesta would require a dash kit manufacturer (such as Metra) to provide a compatible solution. I'm afraid the Metra 99-5825 dash kit (for single DIN installation) is the only option offered for your '17 Fiesta at this time. Please feel free to contact an Advisor directly by phone (888.955.6000) or online chat for more details or to discuss further.

Q
Is the radio once installed angled upwards at all or is it perfectly straight?

Once you get it read the i instructions. Youre gonna have to either use a dremel or a hot razor and cut the sub dash to get it to sit flush its not hard and its not going to be noticible to anyone if you ever try to sell it. But to answer you question it does sit perfectly strait and flush just takes some work
cameron  Sep 09, 2017

It's angled some to fit the dash cavity, just enough so you can see the display with no problem.
neil  Aug 30, 2017
A
It's straight and level
matthew  Aug 30, 2017
A
Yes this type of kit you can put in perfectly straight like original oem radio

I purchased this kit then I replaced my factory radio. My new radio is not angled upward at all.

Q
Is the extra (small) socket on dash kit supposed to remain empty? Or did I lose a wire somewhere?

I can not help you I had the radio and dash kit installed for me. I do know that for me the info button does nothing
dennis  Sep 08, 2015

If I remember correctly it is extra. It depends what kind of steering wheel controls you have. There should be the wiring from the radio, steering wheel controls, the screen if you have one, and then the airbags. I would call the crutchfield tech support they are really great.

Q
I have a 2013 Ford Fiesta SE with sync, is it necessary to purchase the XSVI-55424-NAV Ford interface when i can just get the harness adapter? Please explain?!
maurohuaman2k  Mar 15, 2021

A
Yes. If you want to keep sync, then you need to buy the interface. I have 2 of this interface (no harness) that I am not using because I sold my car. If you need it, please let me know and I can give it to you. You may pay for shipping though. Jaime

The car I installed this in, I don't believe had sync. Either way, I just bought the dash kit and the harness adapter and it works great.

Q
How do you reset the clock and access the system menu without SYNC enabled? Holding MENU doesn't seem to do anything.
brandon  Sep 27, 2017
1 answer
A
The car needs to be on for the menu Button to work. if you click the button right under the menu button you will also gain access to the One Hour mode. I haven't timed it to see if it'll actually turn off after an hour yet , so be cautious if you use this feature.
