Your Chrysler 300 is a great car, but you want a different radio. This kit will allow you to install a single-DIN (2" tall) or double-DIN (4" tall) radio while retaining the 8" display screen, climate controls, and other stock functions, including retained accessory power. The kit includes a prewired harness to connect to Metra's ASWC-1 steering wheel control adapter (sold separately). It also supplies the outputs you'll need to connect a navigation receiver. This kit is intended for use with amplified or non-amplified systems.

The 99-6525 allows you to replace your Chrysler factory stereo with an aftermarket navigation receiver to improve your factory audio system and enhance your driving experience.
Automotive Install Kit with Integrated AC/Heater Control: The installation kit fits both double-DIN and single-DIN aftermarket head units. The kit features high-grade ABS plastic and is contoured to match your vehicle's factory dashboard color (matte black) and texture. An included 6.375" (w) x 1.3125" (h) x 4.6875" (d) pocket is provided for single-DIN head unit installation. The install kit retains your vehicle's factory AC, heater, and hazard controls with integrated soft-touch buttons. The included climate control extension harness plugs into the back of this kit and your vehicle's factory harness.
Interface Module w/ Wiring Harness: The Metra Turbo Kit 2 (99-6525) also includes an interface module and two wiring harnesses to integrate your aftermarket head unit with your vehicle's factory audio system. The 18-pin connector of one harness and the 16-pin connector of the other harness plug into the included interface module. The 18-pin harness also features a 22-pin connector which plugs into your vehicle's factory radio harness. The un-terminated wire leads of both harnesses will need to be spliced or crimped onto your new aftermarket head unit's wiring harness (installation tools and accessories sold separately).

Retains Factory LCD: The 99-6525 Turbo Kit 2 retains the factory 8" LCD touchscreen for customized vehicle settings. The kit also has two RCA composite video inputs that can be used to connect an aftermarket backup camera, and a video source. In the menu, the two video inputs can be designated as "Back-Up" or "Aux". Both inputs are controlled by data--if designated as "Back-Up", it will only work when the vehicle is put in Reverse; if designated as "Aux", the input will only work when the vehicle is in Park.
Navigation Outputs: The Metra Turbo Kit 2 (99-3303) also provides Mute, Parking Brake, VSS (vehicle speed sense), and Reverse outputs to make installing an aftermarket Navigation head unit simpler and less time consuming.
Retained Accessory Power (R.A.P.): The ignition power source of many Chrysler vehicles keeps the radio on until one of the doors is opened. This feature is called the R.A.P. (retained accessory power). The 99-6525 Turbo Kit 2 is designed to retain this feature.
OEM Steering Wheel Control Compatible (optional): The 99-6525 Turbo Kit 2 features a right-angle 3.5mm connector that lets you keep your vehicle's OEM steering wheel controls via the optional Axxess Steering Wheel Control Interface (sold separately).
