Vehicle Compatibility: The Metra 99-6536 installation package is designed to replace the factory radio in your 2014-17 Jeep Grand Cherokee with an aftermarket head unit, while retaining important factory features - including the factory amplifier, steering wheel controls (additional adapter required), RAP (Retained Accessory Power), safety & warning chimes, plus the factory backup camera and Aux input.

Amplified or Non-Amplified Compatible: The Metra 99-6536 works in 2014-17 Jeep Grand Cherokees with or without a factory amplifier. Fade & balance controls are retained for non-amplified vehicles only.

Single or Double-DIN Dash Kit: The included dash kit is designed for the installation of a single-din or double-din aftermarket head unit in your 2014-17 Jeep Grand Cherokee. A pocket is included for single-din radio installation. The kit is painted a scratch resistant matte black finish with a silver trim to match factory color, style, and finish.

4.3" Touchscreen w/ Climate Control: The dash kit features an integrated 4.3" touchscreen, along with eight soft-touch buttons for adjustment of climate controls and configuration of vehicle settings.

Built-In Steering Wheel Control Interface: The Metra 99-6536 features a built-in steering wheel control interface which allows you to retain your vehicle's factory steering wheel controls, when used with an aftermarket head unit that features a steering wheel control input.

Factory Backup Camera Retention: The Metra 99-6536 lets you retain your vehicle's factory backup camera. If your aftermarket head unit has a composite video backup camera input, the backup image will display on the aftermarket receiver's built-in monitor. If your receiver does not have a backup camera input, you can configure the 99-6536 to display the backup image on the dash kit's integrated 4.3" touchscreen monitor.

Retains Factory Aux: The Metra 99-6536 also allows you to retain your vehicle's factory 3.5mm Aux input. Your aftermarket head unit must be equipped with a rear-panel Aux input. A stereo-to-minijack adapter maybe required (sold separately).

12V/10A Accessory Output: In this vehicle, there is no 12-volt accessory wire in the factory harness, which requires the installer to run an accessory wire to the fuse box or underneath the steering column when installing an aftermarket radio. The 99-6536 is designed to provide a 12-volt/10-amp switched accessory output (red wire), along with an illumination wire (orange/white wire).

Retained Accessory Power (R.A.P.): The Retained Accessory Power (R.A.P.) function supplies power to the radio after the ignition is shut off until one of the front doors are opened; this function is retained by the Metra 99-6536. Important safety & warning chimes are also retained.

Navigation Outputs: The Metra 99-6536 provides essential wires required for aftermarket radios that have navigation - VSS (Vehicle Speed Sense), Reverse, and Parking Brake wires are provided. This helps to cut down the installation time, since the installer does not have to look for these wires in the vehicle.

Color Codes: Wiring up the Metra 99-6536 is like wiring up any other wire harness that would attach to an aftermarket radio's harness.
