I did not enjoy cutting or modifying the dash kit , after calling Crutchfield they advised to use a razor knife and trim it so it would work . When I ordered I put in year make and model of my vehicle , I expected since it was from them and I ordered the radio from them also , they kit would be a form fitting bezzle for the radio that I purchased from Crutchfield . Not a universal Bezzle , I cut it as they advised and you can tell every time I look at it . If its a kit one of these 3 you see in this kit would be a perfect fit , that's why only one star .

Missing pieces

It is missing a spacer that I need to properly install my stereo, if they stereos are ever back in stock again. It was packaged this way from Metra, not Crutchfield's fault

Some are complaining that the fact you have to trim this unit to accommodate a double din but idc as long a small it works as advertised.

Adapter kits are always hit or miss, so perfection was not expected. This one had it's share of shortcomings. 1. Installation required the use of some but not all of the parts from this kit plus others that were included as separate items in the package. The directions were not clear enough to figure out which parts to use without a lot of trial and error. 2. The spacers looked nothing like the illustration in the instructions. 3. The machine screws provided we too short for the thickness of the spacers; they only engaged the bracket for about a quarter turn, and quickly striped during attempts to fit the assembly back into the dash. 4. The trim kit required some modification (cutting and sanding), but did fit well after modification. The finished assembly looks very nice after resolving those issues.

Not all parts needed, Easy to install stereo with the parts

The kit included extra parts that I didn't need for my double-din replacement stereo for my Nissan 350Z. The instructions were clear for the parts I needed to use.

Fits perfectly!

It fits perfectly for my double din, however it's required you trim off the divider intended for a single din w/ cubby. Divider should be a snap on piece, I had to cut it and sand it down to make it look good.

My unit fits better without the spacers even though the manual says using it. The main problem is it's made of very cheap plastic; it looks worse than the dash around it and the unit inside it.

Doesn't git

Pieces didn't fit correctly even when trimmed. Frint part does.not snap in correctly. Plastic is flimsy

Well...

The trim piece itself looks great around my aftermarket double din. However, the spacers were not cut properly and needed to be altered to fit. Also the kit seemed a little cumbersome to hold together on reassymble. Most of the kit itself got thrown away as I only needed the smaller bits...seems like a huge waste. Lastly, when it was all put together, it has done it's job and it does look good. Just wish it could have been perfect instead of altered to work. Overall: satisfied

works - good design

well thought out design - instructions very good - had to test mount a couple of times to figure correct way to mount unit because as-designed mounting leaves the radio recessed in a little more than I expected - it is flush with the sides of the center console - vs stock radio where the buttons protruded a bit - so functional problem - may even be better to avoid accidentally bumping controls

Works but not fantastic

Purchased this while on a Crutchfield splurge. I bought a couple things for my single Din radio but was very disappointed by the quality. The radio sits extremely shallow and does not even allow me to remove the face plate without wiggling out the barely attached trim. I remove the face plate and hide it in the glove compartment every time I leave the car but with this kit I cannot do this without removing the trim. Don't get me wrong, it serves its purpose and will work once you manage to get it all together but I dislike the fact that it will only hold firm once installed in its entirety. I give it 3 stars because again it works well but just not the way I would like it to.

This is the second 350z I have owned and the second dash kit I have bought. The dash kit worked perfect and looks great. I have used it both ways double din and single din. Best dash kit by far.

Nissan 350Z Receiver Install Kit

Product did what it was designed to do and the finish is fine. The ISO installation did not lock into place as tightly as I expected with my single-din kenwood receiver, but once installed in my car, it doesn't appear to want to move anywhere which is good. I recommend this product and plus, lets face it... what else are you going to buy? Isn't this like the only installation kit for 350zs?

Dash mounting kit

At first I wasn't sure how to mount this with the radio in the dash. The instruction book that comes with it is not very good. But I called tech support and they were great. After talking to them I got everything squared away and the mounting kit worked good and looks good.

Fits perfectly

This kit worked really well and made the deck look like it was flush in the dash. I'm really happy with the outcome of putting it in myself. I highly recommend this for a DIY project.

PERFECT FITMENT!

I used this to install a Kenwood DDX470 into my 350Z and this kit did the job. I only used the face plate since its a double DIN radio but it filled the gap and made the install look perfect. It does come with the necessary pieces to install a single DIN radio though. Word of advice, you will need to cut off a middle "support beam" with a knife in order to install a double DIN. It took me all of 2 minutes to do.

Fit perfectly to the car dash but had to wrap black electrical tape around the head unit's front edge to take up a 1/8 inch gap that was not adjustable.

Double DIN Installation

This dash kit worked perfect for my application. I used this kit to install a double DIN Pioneer AVH-X5500BHS receiver into my '03 350z. The only pieces you need when doing a double DIN install is the front faceplate and 2 of the side spacers. The rest of the dash kit goes unused. The fit and finish was perfectly contoured to fit my dash and the trim ring looks great.

Great System

I bought this system for my husband @ Christmas. He made an appointment with the local big box store for them to install it. When he dropped his car off with the radio, he was told by the technician that he had the wrong radio for his car. He returned home and called Crutchfield and he was reasurred that he had the correct system. My husband read the manual and installed the radio himself, which means your instructions were easy to follow. He absoulutely loves this system, clear music and all the great features. We're both happy that we choose your company.

I didn't do the install myself, but the installers didn't mention any problems and didn't take longer than anticipated, so I have to assume everything fit as expected. All I can go by is looks, and it looks great. I also really like having the pocket now. It holds my mp3 player, my phone, and my CDs. I was always annoyed that the compartment above the stereo in my 2003 Z was just *this much* too small to hold a CD, and without a glove compartment there just wasn't anywhere convenient to keep them. This pocket solves that problem perfectly.

Great Fit

I have always ordered from Cruthfield when it comes to car stereos only because they always provide specific items for your specific vehicles. The kit that came for my 2005 350Z was spot on. They provided a trim specific to my car although the stereo came with universal trims for most vehicles. The trim that Cruthfield provided made a big difference in looks. They also provided a wiring harness for my car and detailed instructions to remove and install the panels was really helpful. Without the kit they provide, I do not think that I would be able to install the stereo myself. Thanks Cruthfield!!!!

Overkill

This kit was way overkill for a double din install on my 350Z (Clarion CX609). I only needed one of the seven pieces of the kit. And that one I had to modify by cutting out the dividing bar, which even if carefully done, is noticeable under careful scrutiny. The black plastic was not a very good match to the dashboard either. There are better options out there for double din installs.

The dash install kit was pefect with the double din and a single with the pocket and it came with both and I had trouble with the dvd player so while I was waiting on the other to be repaired I put in a regular unit with the pocket and it looked just as good and is solid as a rock, factory finish and all, you can not go wrong with it,
