Works, but screw holes only on one side to mount to car. Other side just sits on detent. Kinda odd not to have both sides the same.

Worked, but feels flimsy. Also does not fit evenly within trim. Lower right is tucked in about 1mm from the stock trim. All other corners are flush with stock trim.
Pros: Easy to use.
Cons: Not a perfect fit - plastic has too much give/flex

Does its job and looks pretty good. Not as secure as the previous double DIN Metra kit for the same vehicle. The pocket under the single DIN is small, but better than just being flat plastic. Overall pleased with the finished install.

It was a perfect fit for my Subaru! The directions were great and it was a good experience. This is my second time using a retrofit kit and it was great.
Pros: Fit perfectly
Cons: Dip switch directions were foggy to set up the steering wheel controls. But, we figured it out after reading the directions three times.

2013 Subaru Legacy
The dash adapter is flimsy, the trim ring doesn't clip and rattles. I've installed several different Metra kits in other vehicles and never had these problems. The clipping mechanism doesn't hold the head unit in very well, one very slight push and the head unit pops out. Screwing it into the dash helps tighten it up slightly. Because the trim ring rattles there are ugly gaps above and below the head unit. I've never gotten a Metra kit without screws but thankfully I had plenty leftover from other projects.

2010 Subaru Outback
Got this for installing in my 2010 Outback. Works great. Good fit. I was a little concerned about how it would look as it's surrounded by silver for the rest of the dash area, but was pleasantly surprised. I think the black looks better than the OEM silver stereo.

2010 Subaru Outback
It is nice to have a vehicle specific kit like this one. This piece came FREE with my purchase of a head unit, and it made installation a breeze into my dash. It doesn't sit 100% flush if you just bolt it in directly, but I haven't messed around with adjusting it yet. I'm sure I could get it to be perfect with not a tone of fuss so that is something I may do in the future. It is not very noticeable however so I'm not too worried about it.

After having installed a bunch of aftermarket radios into, this is the best looking dash kit of any that I have ever done. The fit and finish were perfect, and looks like it was stock from Subaru. My one complaint with this kit is that the pocket is not level (slopes outward) so is functionally useless because things slide out of it too easily.
Pros: Fantastic look / fit / finish. Looks like it was made by Subaru
Cons: Pocket slopes outward, therefore it is functionally useless.

2011 Subaru Outback
This looks a lot better than I thought it would in a 2011 Subaru Outback. It matches the contour of the dash perfectly. It bolted right in and looks like it rolled off the factory line with it installed.
Pros: Perfect fit. Looks good. Having that extra storage pocket is always nice.
Cons: Susceptible to smudge marks form dirty hands. The plastic is a bit soft. I put two barely noticeable scratches on it while inserting the cage for the head unit. I know they're there though! If you don't ham fist it like I did you should be golden.

Fit right in the dash! Opened the box, screwed the mount into the original factory location, and snapped my deck into place. Honestly this was the easiest part of my project.
Pros: Ease of use, functionality.
Cons: The instructions were a little weird but it wasn't too bad to figure out.

This install bracket was really nice. I liked the finish and the way it was constructed. Unfortunately, Crutchfield sent me this by mistake. I wish it was the correct one because the one they sent for my Forester was crap.
