Great OEM look

I didn't know new faceplates were even available for my 1993 Volvo 240 but this thing fit 99% perfect. The din housing fit into the dash housing, then I bent the tabs to hold it, slid the radio into the din slot & used the bracket to mount to the car radio support & screwed it into place. The only small thing that didn't quite fit is the square blank piece to the top left of the radio; the tab on the faceplate is a bit big and blocks the square blank from sitting flush so you'll need to trim probably 1/16" of plastic on the corner to let the tab on the blank to sit flush. My blank tab broke off as I tried to force it; I should have just cut the corner off to make room, but I'm still happy with this kit; it looks great!

Easy to install and tight fit!

Super easy dash kit. Comes with all 3 in case you have a 240, 740, or 940. Its a dash kit so there isn't much to review but it was easy to install and a nice tight fit.

Perfect Fitting Trim Kit for my '89 Volvo which doesn't surprise me because if you've read their bio Crutchfield was started out of a need to retrofit old vehicles with audio components. To ensure I received the correct trim kit I received 3 different versions for Volvo's that year. Remarkable customer support which is why I only shop here for electronics.

Perfect fit but

The product is a perfect fit to my 1993 volvo 940 turbo sedan and the Pioneer DEH-X4900BT CD receiver which was recommended by Crutchfield but the instructions needs to be revised. The diagrams (drawing) on the instruction is upside down.

Worked for 1992 Volvo 240, however, the plastic trim piece for the unit required modification to make it fit . The lower inboard edge had to shaved by a 1/16th, and a notch had to be cut on the right side below the two retention notches.. The harnesses worked perfectly.

Good dash kit with horrible instructions

The parts are very good, but the instructions are very poor, written by someone who has no idea how to explain anything clearly. Without calling up Crutchfield Tech support I could not have figured out how to mount the main plate to the car radio I had ordered.

Metra 99-9222 Dash Kit

It fit nicely. I wished it had advise about the backside of the radio or how to use the DIN bracket for the radio with it. The best fit in my 940 was to have the bracket slid into the face plate with no support tabs expanded. The back of the radio was resting on the bottom of the plastic radio box. This angle, with no propping gave the radio the most flush fit at the top of the face plate.
