Retain your car's factory features with a new radio
You want to install a new car stereo, but you don't want to lose the useful features built into your factory radio. The Axxess AXTC-FD2 interface gives you the ability to connect your new radio to the existing wiring in your compatible vehicle and still retain your Ford's steering wheel audio controls, auxiliary input, retained accessory power (R.A.P.), and balance and fade controls.
Versatility and compatibility
The AXTC-FD2 gives you a built-in steering wheel control interface using Axxess' auto-detect technology, which automatically determines the type of vehicle, the type of radio connection, and the preset controls, while giving you the ability to assign dual functions to your steering wheel controls. And if you're installing a new navigation receiver, this adapter also includes the parking brake, reverse, and Vehicle Speed Sensor (VSS) outputs you'll need. The adapter also provides accessory power and a 12-volt illumination output. This adapter is designed for amplified and non-amplified systems.

Retained Factory Features: The Axxess Integrate AXTC-FD2 retains the following factory features in your vehicle after you have replaced the stock radio with an aftermarket head unit.
- Factory Amplifier: The Axxess Integrate AXTC-FD2 is designed for vehicles with or without amplified factory audio systems. Balance and Fader controls are retained.
- Factory Aux: The AXTC-FD2 allows you to keep the vehicle's factory Aux input by using your aftermarket head unit's rear-panel Aux input.
- Steering Wheel Controls: The Axxess Integrate AXTC-FD2 offers built-in SWC letting you retain your vehicle's factory steering wheel controls (no additional adapter required). Your aftermarket radio must be steering wheel control ready. The AXTC-FD2 utilizes patented Auto-Detect technology that automatically detects the vehicle type, radio connection and preset controls, while allowing the ability to dual assign steering wheel controls. In addition to Auto-Detect, it can be manually programmed and will retain settings even after battery disconnection or interface removal.
- RAP (Retained Accessory Power): The AXTC-FD2 is compatible with your vehicle's RAP (Retained Accessory Power) feature, which keeps the radio on until on of the doors is opened.
Outputs: The Axxess Integrate AXTC-FD2 provides a 12V/10A accessory output and navigation outputs to make installation easier and less time consuming.
- 12V/10A Accessory Output: Since there is no 12V accessory wire in the vehicle's factory harness, the AXTC-FD2 is designed to provide a 12V/10A switched accessory output to your new aftermarket stereo, preventing you from having to run an accessory wire to the fuse box or underneath the steering column.
- Navigation Outputs: The Axxess Integrate AXTC-FD2 provides navigation outputs (VSS, Parking Brake, and Reverse) to help ease the installation process of an aftermarket navigation stereo.
