I have a strong feeling these where the wrong bolts for my specific veicle as they were extremely long. I had to rely on new speaker bolts as they fit much better.

Needs more options in kit for sizing screw base. When trying to remove tab to slim down the size to fit my Tacoma speaker bracket, they snapped. No easy way to use this kit with the 2nd gen Tacoma front speaker bracket. A kit with bolt/nut would have been better. For simply mounting a speaker to a plyboard or rear deck, this would work fine.
Pros: Works great in certain situations.
Cons: Not a great kit for what I purchased, despite being offered this as a compatible item.

Metra quality, as always. The clips are durable with good black oxide coating. The screws are too dang long! Why has this been the industry standard for 50 years?!?! Rarely, if ever, does an install require such long fasteners. Installers and mechanics HATE them, as they cause many a painful prick or gash. Billy, you guys at Metra, y'all are more sensible than that. Perhaps I should have took that job in Torrance to do product development. I will say this. Those screws are over the top hard. I could not even put a dent in them with a pair of Klein Linesman pliers to snap them off shorter. Dulled out my metal file saw to cut just one and the mill file could hardly file down the burrs. That is above and beyond the wimpy standards that snap off so easily.

Perhaps the best online experience shopping I've ever had. My sales person(s) were very informative and knowledgeable. Price was right. All the right equipment was sent. The wiring harness to my speakers and my receiver were spot on for the make and model of my rig. I would be quick to recommend using Crutchfield, and I am doing just that! I had little or no experience installing a stereo and speakers but myself and my 15-year-old grandson were able to knock this project out in a 4 to 5 hours or so . Saved a ton of money installing it myself. PS Your instructions were spot on and easy to follow. Not just pictures but words as well. I am really impressed and thank you very much. Wayne

Did not need speed nuts. Screws were excessively long to the point of making installation of dash speakers almost impossible without removing windshield. Screw heads are so small, they fall right through the speaker mounting holes without washers. Save your original screws if you have them.
Pros: Black oxide coating blends in well with my dashboard, especially if your mounting screws can be seen through your grills.
Cons: Excessively long screws take forever to install. Small screw heads need washers to hold speaker brackets. Phillips head screws hard to turn without bit slipping out.

These were good to have during my installation because, while you would expect that you could just reuse the old mounting hardware, some of it was rusty and one set of speakers needed three new holes drilled in the body; the screws and clips were very useful.

Worked out well. Used the " clips" to install the headliner 4x10 speakers. You will need 7mm socket or nut driver to remove screws holding the old Delco speakers. Use the shorter screws supplied to install ,the others are too long and you could damage the roof.

DId not worked as I expected on a Honda HRV. The screws were to long for use on the supplied plastic adapter and the screws had to be cut to fit. Disappointed.

Crutchfield included these, that was great ??, but the screws are long so be aware of contact. Its pretty common for universal parts so I usually cut off excess.

None of the supplied screws worked with the adaptor that Crutchfield recommended. They were all too long and contacted the metal on the door, so I had to drill. The tech advisor said you may have to buy different bolts or screws.... ok, then why was this recommended?

This speaker install screw set was just what I needed when installing speaker adapters in my vehicle. Screwing the speaker into the plastic would not be strong enough and these were just the ticket to mount them quickly and securely.

Replacing stock front speakers in a Tacoma

Mounting screws (4) are too long for this application, and must be cut shorter or replaced to complete this install.
Pros: These screws are right diameter and easily mount the speaker in its adapter collar (once cut shorter or replaced).
Cons: These screws as provided make this install utterly impossible (unless changed or replaced). This install may even damage the speaker cones of the new units if not recognized early on that they just will not work as provided.

These are a life saver for attaching speakers when the factory holes and speaker holes are a little off. You just make new holes or existing holes bigger, then use these like any nut (except you don't need a wrench on it during the final tightening). Crutchfield provided some free, but I wish I had bought an extra set like I originally planned as I needed more.

2005 4Runner. Depending on what speakers are being used, these screws may not be needed. If you order a new set of speakers, the included screws may also work. Great to have this included set as a back up.

Overall I'm very pleased with the speakers, the way they sound and the fit. The only reason I'm givivg them 4 stars in lieu of 5 is because Pioneers instructions (if you want to call them that) are in mice type on the box in French with a picture that it takes a magnifying glass to see.

Cons: Tiny tiny assembly to bracket instructions / picture on the box. Not really intuitive on how to do it without it. Put a blow up in the box with the speakers.

Ten black pan head screws and ten speed clips. I simply can't recall the last time I was so happy. Ten black pan head screws and ten speed clips sound amazing in my truck. I keep them in a mason jar and shake them whenever I want. I hope this helps.

3 just because for my app these were sent but clips weren't long enough to reach hole and the screws were too long and ended up hitting stuff behind the speaker bracket. Plus note screws worked great for my sill plate where my original screws were missing.

Screws were too long for my application (1994 Nissan 300ZX). And they were scattered inside the box because the bag they came in was cut open. Difficult to fish them all out with the Styrofoam packing peanuts.

Fit as a perfect match to the center speaker in my 2016 Tundra with JBL. The drivers side needed to use supplied screws and the passenger took quite a bit of work getting it in there, but they all fit with some work. Sound quality is great, however, did lose some volume when the change in Ohm's from 2 to 3/4 with these.

Cons: navigation and BT phone, not so great. Fit was a bit challenging, but not impossible

It is great that Crutchfield includes these for custom installation into any vehicle. I was replacing the speakers in my 1998 Chevrolet Silverado K1500, so it had the holes predrilled. I used one of the screws to replace a missing screw for one of the panels and it worked great!

It is always nice to get needed hardware for free from Crutchfield. However, I did not use this set of screws because it would've required cut notches into the door panel metal of my 2013 Buick Encore. I actually spent a couple bucks on some short screws, lock washers and nuts to just secure the speaker to the mount adapter. These are in my tool bag awaiting their inevitable need for something later.
Pros: Free stuff, especially mounting hardware, is always a pro.

replaced front door speakers on my 07 Acura RDX, tech package,Infinity Reference 6032cf speakers. The screws provided were ~3 times too long to clear the door's interior frame. It was either go to the store and buy shorter screws or drill 5 holes in my car's metal door frame, I chose the former.

Great sound system!
We replaced our factory equipment in our 2008 Toyota Tacoma with a JVC receiver, six JBL speakers, and an Alpine amp. It sounds amazing! We had it professionally installed and they said Crutchfield was always so good about including everything that makes their job easier. We even saved money on the installation because everything went together smoothly and was made to fit in our truck. The customer service staff at Crutchfield was VERY good at putting together a system specifically for our truck and took the time to make sure everything would work together to give us the best possible sound at our price point. When it comes time to get the subwoofer, we will be buying it, and any other electronics, from Crutchfield.

I did not need these to install the Infinity Speakers in my 2000 Ford F-150. The doors are metal and the speaker holes on the new speakers lined up perfectly with the factory holes.

The last speakers in the Jeep were awful, wow you can hear the bass, treble everything crisp and clear. So happy I have these new front speakers

The wiring harness is well made and snapped into the OEM wiring harness as advertised. I actually did not need it because I was using a crossover with my mid-woofer and tweeter. But the extra length helped with the connection. So it was not a total waste of my money. But you probably only need this wiring harness if you are hooking up coaxial speakers. If you have a component system, these are not required.
Pros: 1. Well made; wire and connections are tight 2. Connector fits very well into the OEM connector
Cons: 1. Nothing really. Just be sure you really need it.
