Horrible. Crashes all the time. Kept turning amp in and off and then boom amp fried. Should have kept my aftermarket alpine.

Weigh your options

Only can get it to play one channel correctly. Going to return it and just get an aftermarket radio, so now I have to figure out how to run new speaker wire from amp and threw the doors
Pros: Retains factory
Cons: Appears to mix up all your channels

A little pricy but it does absolutely everything you need to put a stereo in a stock 2019 Silverado. All the controls you'd ever want and the chime volume control is magical.
Pros: Ease of setup and use
Cons: Software is a little unintuitive at first (you get used to it). Windows support would be a nice touch.

Do not buy this or any Metra DSP like it. Total cheap product that will make you regret the day you read this. So many bugs that it blew my tweeters an mids Audiofrogs. Speakers stop playing when you turn on turn signal and I could keep going but you have been warned. J. U. N. K.
Pros: Non
Cons: Everything

Nice install

Works like a charm in my 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 Elevation. Used this to hook up a JL VX1000/5i amp. Unfortunately, I ordered the GM30 the first time and that was not the correct part for my configuration. So double check your specs before ordering.

2019 Silverado install

I've had this for about two months, and generally it works well. My likes: plug and play integration into my 2019 Silverado IOR radio (be prepared for the small white tabs that lock the factory wiring harness to the radio module to break.not a big deal), easy setup/user interface with the Axxess app, low-level RCA outputs and remote turn on to my 5-channel amp. Does a good job at correcting factory bass roll-off and the ability for time alignment is a must-have feature. Metra customer service was responsive and helpful with questions. Dislikes: the turn signals override the left front speakers when activated as the turn signal "clicking" sound is generated by the DSP and according to Metra there is no way to override this. The DSP has also crashed twice (music and all door chimes/turn signals go completely silent) and had to be unplugged to reset. Fortunately I installed this in an easily accessible location tucked under the passenger side dash. Had to reset crossovers, EQ, and time alignment after the unit was plugged back in. Overall a relatively painless DIY install and good features for the price.

Initials thoughts..... it blew my stock tweeter in my 2021 Malibu. Unit was in weird state and output 8VRms noise in all channels to my JD400 amp and blew my new stock tweeter. I would suggest doing a reset on the device before plugging in any powered amp and verifying preamp outputs with DMM or a scope. Now I've replaced all speakers in car with Alpine R series and sounds great. Just wish the chime level actually worked. I cannot lower it anymore on my factory head and I have it set as low as it will go on the dsp. Had intermittent speaker output caused by bent T harness connector pins.
Pros: Easy to install and love the ease of install." After I found the factory amp since Chevy moves them around from year to year. Couldn't find good info for ANC on 2021 Malibu. Had to disconnect all 3 mics in the headliner.
Cons: Was programmed in a weird state and blew factory tweeter. Do a reset first via Bluetooth before hooking up amp. Also t connector pins are weak and will Bend.
