Ford Mustang 2005 thru 2014 with Shaker 500-1000 Must Have !!!!!!
Kenny from LOUISVILLE, KY on 8/28/2023
The Pioneer subwoofer dropped in my 2012 Mustang convertible fit without spacers or cutting the door panel to fit them, they sound much cleaner and deeper sound than the factory 500 watt subwoofers did and changing to these speakers also eliminated the rattle from the door panel, the factory door panel itself is a sealed speaker box and these sub woofers are perfect for those door panels I'm extremely happy with them. I only had to make two modification for them to fit the door panel, pioneers have a plastic cover around the speaker magnet which is held on by two Philips screws, ONCE REMOVED and cut off the 2 Plastic Guide pins on the door panel and the 4 little guide pins off the back of the speaker cover (not the trim ring) they popped right into the door panel with zero issues and the factory speaker cover and trim went right back over them keeping the car looking clean with a stock finish. AS FAR AS WIRING THEM, each speaker has 4 wires, the white wire with BLACK stripe is the Negative on one side of the speaker and the white wire with the BLUE stripe is the negative on the other side of the speaker, you will see the back of the speaker on each side has a wide spade that is (+) and the small spade is the (-). I used a speaker tester to pop the speaker to see which one is + and -.

Perfect Subwoofer replacement
Hector from Midlothian, TX on 7/3/2023
2010 Toyota Tundra
Great replacement sub for 2010 Tundra Platinum. No drilling necessary. Sounds great which you really should not hear. It blends in beautifully with the stock speakers. Which leads me to think I should consider replacing the rest of the stock speakers, since the truck is 13-year-old truck. But looks and runs great!
Pros: None
Cons: I replaced in 100-degree weather, but it worked out fine.

A very nice subwoofer speaker.
Gary from Millington, TN on 6/12/2023
Under rear seat Installation for'07 Tundra. Not an exact fit (the cover could not be installed with the speaker) but it produces an excellent (I.e. night vs. day) sound experience nevertheless. Very glad this was recommended for my application.
Pros: Excellent product
Cons: Not a 100% fit (neither the new nor old speaker cover would fit over the speaker into the housing) but the speaker fits and sounds incredible. It's hidden so the missing cover is really a non issue.

2008 Mustang Woofer replacement
Guest from Rochester, NY on 5/23/2023
2008 Ford Mustang woofer replacement. I finally found a speaker that will do the job! It took several weeks of investigative work due to businesses basically telling me I was out of luck. Also, make sure you shop around for the best deals. Pioneer TS-A2000LD2 will definitely fit into your mustang with one minor adjustment... Just make sure you remove the magnet cap from the back which has two screws.
Pros: Crisp and Clear sound Easy install
Cons: None

Sub fit behind rear seat 2022 Tacoma. Holes did line up. Could not use trim ring. If I had to do again, I would remove seat backs to better access the panel. The most rigid cone I have ever seen! Hoping after breaking in it will loosen up. As of now, only using in stock system. Not nearly enough power to push sub, but looking for marginal improvement after using awhile.

Fits 2005 Sienna
Bibb from San Antonio, TX on 11/26/2022
I chose this speaker because it had specs very close to the OEM Toyota/ JBL sub woofer in my 2005 Toyota Sienna. It is a little pricy but is very high quality. Installation was easy but not an exact drop in for the old speaker. The spacing and pattern of the original JBL screw holes don't line up with any of the holes in the Pioneer so I just drilled 6 new holes and all was good. The sound of this new Pioneer sub woofer is at least as good or better than the OEM Toyota/JBL.
Pros: High quality, great sound, minimal modifications to fit my application.
Cons: Holes don't line up. Must drill new holes.

Fits 2018 x3 with only a little tweaking
Josh from PLEASANT VALLEY NY on 9/25/2022
Fit my 2018 x3 standard gifs system with just a tiny bit of trimming on the sides to did the oem assembly. The enclosure is a little small for them but they fit and are a huge improvement from what was in there. Just needed to hear them up to remove the oem and sealed the edges with butyl rubber rather than gasket tape since the original were glued in. The fact that you can wire these in 2ohm so it works with the oem amp is great. Not a difficult job at all
Pros: Fits, sounds a lot better, great price for performance, much cheaper and more base than the MATCH brand oem replacement
Cons: My enclosure is smaller than it should be but still work great

Awesome bass drivers for midbass us
james from Cape Girardeau, MO on 8/21/2021
I have these running as mid bass drivers in the doors of my 2013 mustang. System info is as Follows: head unit: KENWOOD dmx957xr Front stage: Focal flax evo coaxial pc165fe crossed over from 200hz-20khz Rear fill: Polk audio db572 crossed over from 80Hz-10khz Front mid bass: pioneer ts-a2000ld2 crossed over from 40hz-200hz Amp mids/highs: audio control d-6.1200 Amp subs: Orion xtr1500.1dz Subwoofer: soundqubed hds3.2 (1) box 1.6ft3 tuned to 33hz These pioneer subs sounds fantastic! The bass is really authoritative and very tight and accurate. The doors have a very small sealed enclosure of about .25ft3. At 3/4 volume they vibrate my entire door panel and sound quite unbelievable with my sub turned off. Just a word of caution, my amp puts out 125 wpc rms and the pioneers can handle every bit of it. In a proper built box these can absolutely handle 200w rms. If you have a 10-14 mustang with the 8's in the doors these will be a great upgrade but only if you add an external amp capable of running them. FYI, these fit but only when you remove the plastic ring around the magnet. There is only 2 small screws that hold the plastic ring on. Also, these are pretty heavy for door mounted midbass speakers but work well nonetheless.
Pros: Power handling, accuracy, strong mid bass attack
Cons: None

Low bass from an 8?
Crutchfield customer from Camas, WA on 1/24/2021
2013 Jeep Wrangler
My 2013 Jeep Wrangler factory Alpine system was anemic, especially when playing music with low bass. Everyone I spoke to said there wasn't much I could do since the head unit was limiting power to the sub AND the sub is just an 8". With the addition of my new Pioneer shallow mount sub, that has changed... A little. I'm not going to tell you that it's now a competition system, but the bass is now clear and actually does produce decent low end. The whole reason I chose this Pioneer was the frequency response down to 20Hz. I tested with rap, R&B, rock and then the best song to really show it off? About 30 seconds into Billie Eilish - &burn. Nice, clear lows! Installation was as easy as can be. Remove the old sub. Use the included adapter cables to plug right in. Foam tape is included with the sub to get a nice tight seal. It also helps to stuff the enclosure with pollyfil. (helps with the soundbar and front speakers too). I'm very happy with the new lows!
Pros: Good lows from an 8" sub. Low power, perfect for stock systems Well made Great tech support from Crutchfield Frequency response down to 20Hz!
Cons: I little more expensive than some other subs

I installed this in the factory sub location of my 2009 Mercury Mariner (Ford Escape). I was surprised at how small this sub is, about an inch or more shallower than my factory sub, plus the extra holes lined up perfectly! Someone else mentioned using a better seal than the foam gasket, I mounted mine on top of some sound deadening. Overall this little sub packs a punch and pairs really well with my Infinity Reference speakers. I also recommend picking up an amp, don't stick with the factory amp. Highly recommend!

CHATTANOOGA
IGOR from CHATTANOOGA on 10/12/2020
2006 Toyota 4Runner
The JBL Synthesis subwoofer in my 2006 4Runner died, therefore I needed a replacement. This dual voice coil, 2ohm, shallow mount sub fits directly in the factory box. Pro tip: If you're ok with doing some cutting, there's no need to remove all of the panels to access the sub location. Simply heat up a box cutter and cut around the speaker cover panel. You can then replace it by pushing it back in or adding a bit of glue to hold it in. Once you remove the old sub, there are two sets of wires. The red and black go in the positive terminals, the yellow and green go in the negative terminals. When I initially installed the sub with the included foam tape seal, I was getting an annoying rattle and couldn't figure out why. I bought some rubber window weather stripping at Lowe's and attached it around the perimeter of the mounting location. Being thicker, it provides more isolation from the factory box and a much better seal. I used the original screws to mount and then drilled the other included screws in the remaining mounting points on the speaker. The sub isn't going anywhere and now sounds rock solid, at least for an 8" powered by the factory system amp. Would highly recommend this sub, but definitely get some rubber weatherstripping to get a better seal.
Pros: Sound quality, price, factory fit
Cons: Included foam tape gasket
