A worthwhile upgrade.

Installed these in a 2020 Silverado 2500. I installed them in the front doors and I'm running the oem head unit. Quality of sound is much better and the bass hits harder and they're not even broken in! Definitely worth the money. I didn't install the tweeters so I can't say how those are but the woofers are an excellent upgrade. My friend has a similar truck and heard these then decided to buy a pair of his own.

Nice improvement over factory speakers. Really improved the range and clarity of my audio without replacing the factory radio. This setup works great with my factory radio / factory wattages. Vastly superior to paper coned factory speakers.

great midrange with coil wire noise

Zkork from Charleston, WV on 1/29/2025

This speaker is great for someone who is looking for midrange only. The problem is the speaker design. I'm not sure if it's the length of the speaker cone wire or if it's too flimsy. It will make a noise either from hitting the cone or vibration. It happens at all frequencies & at low power.

Pros: great midrange

Cons: coil wire noise

I cannot believe the difference! The clarity of my music is so much better after replacing the stock speakers in my FJ Cruiser. They were affordable and sound great.

The speakers are good, the installation was poor, none of the wires hooked up to factory harnesses. Had to cut and rewrap them. Then the tweeter mounting plate had to be custom cut. The bracket provided by you didn't help. I always thought y'all provided a user with the best kits and instructions, but in this case it was bad.

Installed these in the front doors of my 2008 Tacoma - no cutting required. Huge improvement over the factory 6x9" speakers (of course) but also over the 6.5" Image Dynamics component set that I installed in there a few years ago. The low-end frequency response is night and day compared to the set they replaced. Powered by the same 4-channel Alpine MRP-F300 amp (50 watts RMS @ 4 ohms) I've been using for years.

Pros: Price point Low-end frequency response 6x9" component set - not many options in this size Sensitivity 92dB - these get loud and stay clear

Cons: Wish they were offered in 2 ohms Integrated HPF for the tweeters seems cheesy, but it also seems to work fine

Great speaker to match w/ an OEM HU

Harold from Hogansburg, NY on 2/16/2024

Nice sounding pair of speakers , works great with my OEM Toyota 4Runner radio w/o the JBL system. It got rid of the boomy OEM sound from the OEM speakers. Now I have nice sounding tighter bass that actually sounds good and hits fine for me. I looked for a high sensitivity rated speaker to mate with the OEM HU. I followed the Crutchfield guide for recommended speaker type for an OEM HU use. Still deciding if I might get a powered sub woofer for under the seat use. I also caught the sale price too saved $32.50 off the reg price.

Pros: Pioneer quality sound, sale price, quality speaker, works great w/ a OEM HU

Cons: None
