So-So

2010 Toyota Camry

Verified employee review (What's this?)

Bought these for a mid-range system in my daughters 2010 Camry. Feeding them 500w @ 2ohms from an Alpine PDXV9. I did not expect them to rock my world, but quite honestly they are so-so. For comparison, I had a single Fosgate 3P 10" laying around I threw in for the fun of it. The first thing that comes to mind is punch and control. The JL's are a little drowney and don't have much in the way of punch. They move air, but just don't punch you in the gut. They will rattle the car pretty good with low synthesized bass. I can see people enjoying these as they do OK at the lower frequencies and outperformed the single P3 in this category. As for overall musicality, there was a surprising large difference and the single P3 was far more musical. My non-audiophile wife even commented how much different they sounded and preferred the P3. She really liked the nice tight punch. Nothing wrong with these speakers, and my daughter is ecstatic. Just don't expect them to be fast, tight and controlled.

This is my first sub box I've installed in my car, and man does it bounce. Never thought two tens could be this powerful. For 350 bucks I couldn't ask for much more. I did buy the optional grille covers that don't come with it to protect them long term from stuff in my trunk.

You're in for a treat with the JL Audio CP210-W0v3! Imagine getting hit by a wave of bass that makes your heart race while you're jamming to your favorite tunes. Those dual 10-inch subwoofers are like a secret weapon for your car's sound system. The best part? It doesn't take up much space, so you don't have to sacrifice your trunk for booming bass. It's like having a concert on wheels - just don't forget to buckle up! ????

Pros: Deep and impactful bass response, The enclosure is designed to fit in a variety of vehicle types and sizes, making it suitable for installations where space is a concern.

Great sound and very powerful once you dial in the settings .

Pros: Great sounds looks amazing

Cons: Gave one star less since JL charges extra for speaker covers which are pretty much necessary if you use the trunk . Great product but i feel like its a poor cash grab to charge extra.

I had a JBL ProBass 12 in the back of my Grand Cherokee. It had good bass sound but I needed more BASS! Thanks to Stevie, I now have that. We paired it with the Infinity 6001A reference amp. I am happy. If you are looking, stop. You've found it. And if I'm wrong & you're not happy with this, you've got 60 days to return it.

Got to be the best JL's I've ever bought, the W4's nor W0's I've had in the past don't hold a light !! Got them in aug of 2018 and still hit just as hard today as they did then !!

Pros: Just connect to your amp and pound

Great for entry level subs. Paired with JL Audio xd mono 600 watt Amp. Hits hard and deep. Definitely recommend it for any newbies.

Pros: Great entry subs. Perfect for smaller trunk space. These subs will rattle your rear view mirror like the 12s with slightly more trunk space to spare.

Cons: Bigger magnet?

Simply stunning. I added two JL Audio 10's to my stock Lexus IS stereo system and WOW does the sound blow me away. Prior to installing the subs the sound was okay out of the factory speakers but unless you get the Mark Levinson system option you don't have much if any low end at all. This solves that issue and then some! My previous car had Mark Levinson in it and this system totally surpasses it for sure! Totally satisfied.

For sealed subwoofer lovers, don't fear the ported box!

Russell from Atlanta GA on 8/16/2022

Verified customer (What's this?)
Verified employee review (What's this?)

Even though this is a ported box, I decided to risk my hesitancy in stepping away from sealed cabinets and trust that JL Audio's engineers had done their homework. Usually, ported boxes excel at reproducing much deeper tones at the expense of that midrange bass "Hit" frequency and amplitude that goes through your chest while listening to moderately loud music. As I predicted, JL Audio's sound lab has seemingly done the impossible in giving this unit the ability to reproduce both; interestingly, the efficiency of the speakers means my JL Audio XD600/1v2 barely even gets warm, and the power draw rarely even dips down into my inline capacitor reserve. I learned something else about the different speaker series, and the value of buying one of these from JL Audio's sound lab versus building your own speaker box. I was on the verge of purchasing a pair of JL's 10W3 series and installing them in a sealed cabinet (and it might have come out at about the same cost), but the performance unknowns had to be part of the decision matrix. With this cabinet, JL had already matched and optimized the combination, and recommended it for a 600 watt amplifier. To put it another way, yes, they did use the lower-technology speakers, but they are optimized for the cabinet, thus achieving near-perfect utility. After listening to them, I have to admit that it was doubtful that my sealed box could have achieved this full range of sound, even with speakers two series higher.

Pros: All the kick of a sealed 10" sub, with the range of a ported 12". . .JL Audio pulled off the impossible with this one.

First, I 'd like to say I've been a loyal Crutchfield customer since the eighties and they know their stuff or I wouldn't still be shopping here. Now, on to the review. I have the JL Audio CP210-W0v3 in the trunk of my 69 Camaro SS 396 Convertible. I'm driving the whole system with a Kenwood Excelon XR901-5 amp and these subs hit hard. Carpeting in the trunk as well as Dynamat Extreme applied to the trunk lid greatly reduce the bass rattle. I wish the efficiency was a little better -only 84 db-, but I'm not sure if that's impacting the overall output of the system that much. Very pleased with my purchase of the JL Audio CP210-W0v3 from Crutchfield.

Pros: Unique design allows it to fit into tight spaces.

Cons: 84 db Efficiency

Excellence. First time feeling the bass not hearing the bass was with this sub box. I was so used to rattle and bump from other subs you hear rolling by in town or when you're in a friend's car. These are strong and powerful but very refined. The box and subs compliment each other. It's more than enough sound for an SUV small or large. They never failed on me or felt underpowered even before upgrading to higher amp alternator. Bass heavy music like trap or electronic sounds refined and punchy with abosultely no distortion. Don't waste your time and get these. Hopefully back in stock for you to buy. Never disappointed. Enjoy.

Pros: Value, super quality, great sound, refined

Coming from 2 alpine type R 10's and pushing them with 1000+ watts to the this JL setup, was a nice transition. Its not competition but it thumps more than you would expect. The subs hit lows that I didn't think it could. In my opinion this is the best bang for your buck. Quality sound for a decent price. I'm only pushing them with 500 watts and it's still more than I need.

Went from a single 12" to this with same 500W amp. My ears hurt before the amp runs out. I have this installed in an Explorer so no issue with size. Accurate all around. Big improvement from the previous. Previous amp bottomed out 45Hz, this gets down to 25Hz and is a real, tangible gain in overall sound experience. Glad I paid the extra $$ for this one.

Pros: Sound, sound and more sound. High quality build.

I have these installed using my JL Jx500w/1d mono amp and it's playing alongside an entirely JL audio speaker system (2x TR 690 TXI, 2x TR 525 CXI, and 2x TR 050 CT). After finding the settings I liked the subwoofer plays really nicely with the rest of the setup however I may recommend getting speakers with a higher RMS output than the ones I have listed. Right now I feel like overall I have just enough that it sounds good as a unit but I know my setup isn't always an option for every car. I immediately noticed the strain of the electricity on my car with the subwoofer addition so I would also recommend that buyers have in place a good "Big 3" or alternator. In terms of the sound quality, the subwoofer itself is great; loud and clear. Another caveat however would be that it is so forceful in my trunk that it rattles some parts of my car even the 6x9's above the woofer which can make an annoying noise so make sure everything is properly secured to avoid this. My problem is that it shakes my trunk's latch which I can't get to unless I dismantle parts of my bumper. It might also be beneficial to buy something to protect the face because it will shift things around in your trunk. Overall though the product itself is great and really will make a huge difference to anyone's sound system and I hope that this review will help others avoid missing the little details that I wasn't thinking about when I first installed the equipment. I would buy this product again.

Pros: Loud, Deep, Cool looking, Minimal wiring hassle

Cons: Will shake and move a lot of things but that is with every sub
