Built tough for life on a boat
The weatherproof cone is suspended in a durable synthetic rubber surround for great sound and long life, while the UV-resistant polymer basket surrounds and protects the entire structure. The 3/4" treated silk dome tweeter renders brilliant highs, and it's mounted directly to the titanium "Sport" grille for optimal sound radiation. The high-quality 2-way crossover mounted to the woofer basket ensures the woofer and tweeter work in perfect concert.
You can mount these sharp-looking 7.7" speakers in your boat's cockpit or bulkhead walls, either as standalones or in conjunction with a subwoofer.

Features
Marine Tested: JL Audio's marine speakers are built to exceed industry standards for Salt-Fog and UV exposure. They are exposed to ultraviolet testing chambers to simulate years of sun exposure, and salt fog chambers to simulate years of exposure to salt-water environments. Corrosion and UV-resistant materials are used throughout.
Woofers: The MX770-CCX-SG-WH speakers feature injection-molded, mica-filled polypropylene cone woofers with UV inhibitors, synthetic rubber surrounds, and precisely engineered dust cap profiles for smooth upper-end response. The woofers also use marine-grade synthetic fiber spiders with a progressive roll design to withstand high humidity.
DMA (Dynamic Motor Analysis): DMA is JL Audio's proprietary method of improving dynamic motor behavior. The DMA optimized, long-excursion design enhances output, bass extension, and power handling of the speaker.
Tweeters: The speakers feature 3/4" silk dome tweeters with a specially formulated treatment to withstand UV and salt-spray exposure. The dome tweeter uses a neodymium magnet for higher efficiency levels and is Ferrofluid-cooled and damped for improved response and power handling capabilities.
Crossover: The tweeters use 2nd order (12 dB/octave) crossovers with solid-state tweeter protection to prevent tweeter failure.
Polymer Basket And Grille: The specifically engineered polymer baskets are corrosion and UV-resistant and encapsulate the woofer's motor system to prevent corrosion.
Infinite-Baffle Operation: The speakers are designed for infinite-baffle operation and can be installed in a variety of locations, without the need for a dedicated enclosure. The woofer is optimized to operate with a large volume of air behind it (at least 2 cubic feet); operating in less space will compromise low frequency performance.

Just WOW!! I bought these as a birthday present for my boyfriend and I am in love with them just as much as him. Upgraded from 4, 6.5's to 6 of these. They have such a clear sound and loud!! Not to mention how good they look!
