Wow!!! What can I say.. JL Audio does it again!!!! I have it paired with the amplifier that JL recommends (XD600/1) and at the settings that it shows in the manual and this thing hits!!! Captures the lows and sounds fantastic! I have paired with my hood ole Alpine MRV 4 channel amp powering the Kicker 6x9's in the front doors and rears. Didn't mess with the tweeters and they sound pretty good (to me) already. I love my music and my truck sounds phenomenal!!!!! You won't be disappointed as the box is Tuned for your vehicle.

JL Audio Stealthbox

I dnt usually go out of my way for reviews but here I go. I drive a supercrew and I love sound but need my space because I'm an avid outdoorsman. Was skeptical about spending this much but I've always heard jl audio was top notch. Soooooo I bought this bad boy and paired it with a jl jd1000/1 mono amp and installed 4 jbl stadium on a jd400/4 amp with a Kenwood head unit double din. I MUST SAY IT IS FRIGGEN AWESOME. I had installed a system in wife's tahoe, 2 p1 fosgates on a 500mono and I blow her away. So needless to say she has me redoing hers. Thank you Crutchfield for your excellent customer service and tech advice and training your advisors have. I will never use another seller. I done the total install myself as I am a diesel and software installer for large trucks so I am technically Trained as well. Folks if u are skeptical, don't be. They handle the power and sound great.

F250 stealthbox

The box blends into the stock seat well enough to be unnoticeable, going from a single ported 10 truck box behind the rear seat to the 12s added incredible bass. I've swapped all the factory door speakers to JL and my truck is now an extreme joy on long rides, even classic rock feels like I'm in the studio listening live.

BOOMIN' BASS

This thing BOOMS. I'm powering this box with a Kicker KX 1.800 and it sounds AMAZING. Once I adjusted the bass setting for this sub woofer it sound great. Very clean bass that is punchy and no distortion from it at 3/4 volume. I would definitely recommend this box to anyone with an F150 that wants to improve bass quality. Well built box that is made to last and easy to install. If you have the money and are thinking to get this DO IT!

It has potential.

Honest review after 1 year of ownership, by a nearly 40 y/o semi-audiophile. For the first 10 months they sounded ok. Ok, as in there is abundant room for improvement in SQ. Then rattling in the cab that turned out to be, you guessed it, the subs. Crutchfield, being an awesome company, sent me two new subs last week because there is no replacement Stealthbox available. After unbolting the box and removing the screws to the subs, I really started to notice some issues. 3 out of 16 total screws were stripped; 2 on one sub, 1 on the other. The soldering on the wiring going to the connectors were good, but the crimps on the spade terminals were shit. The negative side was barely making connection, as it pulled out as I rolled the sub over to i wire it. The cheesy 14" squares of poly filling sitting over the basket was also interesting. I had several sheets of KilMat left over from doing my door speakers, so I like the inside of the Stealthbox with it, stuffed the bs poly in the outside corners, and carefully screwed the subs back down. I'm running an active system with an Audio Control DSP amp, and after a quick re-tune now it sounds good and hits considerably harder. For the money, it should be this way from the factory.

Slams!

This enclosure is fantastic! Originally I tried the stealthbox loaded with the single 13TW5 and was left pretty underwhelmed. I swapped it with this enclosure and couldn't be happier! This thing slams. Im running it with a JL RD1000/1 and it pounds, even with the gain turned down. If you're on the fence, or discouraged by the price, just do it, you won't be disappointed.

So if you are on the fence about this, it is worth it! I came from multiple w7 setups before this and I tell you what this has some solid output. Running this with a slash 600/1v3 and it is plenty for any sane person who wants a good frequency response from shallow mounts. Running with a 600 watt 3 way front stage and it's very balanced!

December 2019

Bought the stealthbox for my 2017 F150. Box fitment is perfect. Looks good, sounds good. I gave 4/5 because the box simply met expectation with audio performance. No disappointment at all, but also not blown away.

Like the other reviews mentioned this box rocks. JL Audio crushed this one. I tried replacing the speaker in the Sony box with an 8inch JL and 300 watt amp sounded better then went to the Kicker box sounded a bit better. Put this box in today and it booms and I only have a 300 Watt amp running it. Going to upgrade to a 600 watt JL amp. Installation was a breeze only took about 30 minutes as I already had an amp wired in so just had to drill the holes and bolt down. Sounds amazing never disappointed with JL Audio and their custom pieces

After trying the JL single 8" and 10" boxes in my 2019 F250 and not being satisfied, I decided to give it one more go with this Stealthbox. Wooh!!! I was literally blown away by the bass provided by this box powered by the JL RD 500/1! The bass is tight, accurate, and low! This box hits!
