Just like they say "you get what you pay for.." This amp powers my 3-12 W3's like they were meant to be powered!
Pros: The bass lows are phenomenal for these subs, perfect marriage for JL speakers!
Cons: Nothing.only price, but again you get what you pay for!

What we all wanted from JL Audio

I Wanted an amplifier with flexible impedance options with decent power. I switch out Equipment often. this will make things nice with enough power to test deferent subwoofers. It pairs nicely with my 12W7AE. Great product.
Pros: 1.SQ is great Sounds clean and Loud like the other JL amplifiers. 2. A JL audio Amplifier with more power at one and two Ohms with great specs. 3.The power ground and speaker inputs are perfect. 4. Flexible final impedance loads
Cons: No cons really. Would love to see a v2 with RIPS technology and panel mounted RCA's

2020 Ford F-150 XLT
Great amplifier for my set up! I'm running 2 Wavtech 12's under the back seat in my 2020 F-150. They can handle 750 watts rms and it's pushing them very strong at half gain!

Jl audio is top notch quality and this amplifier is awesome. I couldn't be happier with this amplifier. Looks good sounds great and super efficient.
Pros: Super efficient lots of power. Easily powers my 2500 watt rms deaf bonce subwoofer better than the older 2300 watt amplifier. You get what you pay for with jl audio and that's always a top tier product ??

I got this to replace my Sundown SIA 1250D (the only weak piec in my system). It's powering 2 ported 12" RF P3s. Wired at 1 Ohm. Gain barely turned up. Huge improvement!!! Power and sound quality. I finally get to hear/feel my subs' full potential. Thumps so hard my rear view mirror is now completely useless. I'm running almost all Sony ES for my system... 3-way ES 6 1/2 components up front, 2-way ES components in back doors and upper center door pillars and coaxial ES 6×9s in the back deck of my 2019 Optima. 8 channel Sony ES and 4 channel RF powering all 12 speakers actively. Sony ES 9500 head unit. System sounds amazing with the new JL amp... Went from "very nice" to "oh, yeaaaaah".
Pros: Everything so far.
Cons: Bass control knob needs to be included with amp. Had to purchase separately.

LOUD, CLEAN, EFFICIENT

WOW I have (2) 600 watt RMS subs for a total of 1,200 watts RMS. I had previously been powering them with a Rockford Fosgate 1200 watt 1 ohm amp/subs wired to 1 ohm also. They sometimes got loud, but the amp struggled even though it was "1 ohm stable" - the clipping light came on ALL the time despite proper gain setting. I exchanged the RF amp thinking it was and amp issue but it kept happening. I just couldn't push my subs cleanly enough. I researched a bit further and turns out my subs can take up to 1,500 watts RMS safely per the manufacturer, so I decided to go with this JL 1,500 watt. I didn't even plan on using all the JL's 1500 watts- I just figured I would get a higher power amp and not push it as hard to help prevent distortion at the amp to help keep my subs living a long life. WOW. The subs came to LIFE with this JL amp. I can't begin to explain. And best yet? LOUD, NO DISTORTION/CLIPPING!! I'm super glad I found this combo and glad I'm matching this amp to my JL JD 400/4. Sounds great!!

Unbelievable power, paired with the rd400/4 to all my infinity kappa 6x9 components in the front doors with kappa tweeters & crossovers in the dash & kappa plate 4x6 behind my head in the pillars, box custom built with 2 10tw3-4 sealed in my 2016 single cab Silverado & let me tell u this is extremely loud & complimented by everyone! I broke in all speakers for 6 months before turning it up , just finished wiring subs to 1ohm & omg it's scary loud as in rattling your teeth!! JL fan my whole life, professional tuning recommended at this level. Won't buy any other brand of amp ever, no disappointments

It really is a very good amplifier of super strong jl audio more than I thought I loved its power I connect it with 2 kicker 12CVX of 750rms each with half the gain of the amplifier it sounds quite loud so I imagine if I raise the gain To the maximum, the subwoofers will come out, I recommend this amplifier JL Audio RD1500 / 1 Class D????????

This amplifier had enough power to meet any of your installation needs. This amp is a BEAST. This amp is amazing! I feel like I have the Hulk in my trunk. This amp is rated at 1500 watts rms. Naw it is rated way too low. I have seen a video on YouTube. This amp was pushing a Kicker Quad Box. It will meet all your musical needs. Like I said "This Amp Is A Monsta!
Pros: Plenty of power to meet your needs! Well worth the price and I know it can push more than 1500 watts RMS.
Cons: None get this amplifier you will love it! JL Audio has done it again with this beauty!
