Excellent solution for odd factory locations!
Robert from Ocala, FL on 4/18/2025
I purchased these for my 2008 Chevrolet Suburban LTZ with Bose. After upgrading the rest of the stereo system, I knew the d-pillar speakers needed to be replaced for the 3rd row passengers and to also fill this weird void missing in the audio that seemed to come from the rear. I have seen where you can do custom mounts and whatnot for 3.5" speakers however I wanted a more plug and play solution. That's when I found the CF-275MTs. Saying that I am blown away is an understatement. The factory ones had no bass at all. They were more of a tweeter. These JL speakers have some punch to them for their size! Plus the install used all factory mounting points. So this filled out the missing piece my full JL Audio system build perfectly! Pioneer DMH-C5500NEX to a JL Audio RD 900/5 to JL C1 6.5" components in front doors/a-pillars, C1 6.5" coaxial in the rear doors and the CF-275MT in the d-pillars. All with the full line of iData Maestro install interfaces/cables.
Pros: Ease of install, sound quality
Cons: None

Will fit 2018 Nissan Titan XD
Richard from Durham, NC on 1/26/2025
Great build quality.Great sound. Nice and clean sound. These will fit corner dash locations for 2018 Nissan Titan XD. Left corner drops in freely right side needed less than 1/8 inch sanded off the tabs to make a snug fit. They have a breakaway tab you can use, but I did not want to do that to the speaker just in case the fitment wasn't great. overall, still in a slight break-in phase had them playing for around two or three hours. sounds great fitment is great much simpler than other speaker brands with multiple mounting rings and options and it is JL quality.
Pros: JL audio build quality. JL audio Sound signature.
Cons: Zero.

Fits in the Nissan Frontier S model. And yes, the dash is wired. The leads are just very hidden. The sound quality is exactly what the new system needed to be crystal clear at lower volume.
Pros: Great sound. Well made frame.
Cons: Didn't come with a JL sticker.

Perfect fit and sound in my 2016 Toyota Tacoma TRD Sport
Victor from MASTIC BEACH, NY on 12/3/2024
2016 Toyota Tacoma
Purchased these to compliment the C1-690 components. I purchased a set of C1-690's and installed them in my 2016 Tacoma, they sounded great except that they lacked that midrange I was expecting. After some searching and reading reviews, I settled on these (CF-275MT) and what a difference. The midrange and vocals cleared up and opened up the sound stage. They were easy to install and dropped right into place of the OEM corner dash speakers. I'm using a Dasaita Android radio with a built in DSP without an amp using the factory wiring. I would highly recommend these to anyone trying to set up a 3 way system in your 3rd generation Tacoma. Set-up, 6x9 speakers mounted in door location, midrange speakers mounted in the dash corner location, and the tweeters mounted in the air conditioner vents at each end of the dash. Picture of tweeter is for informational use so that you see what was done.
Pros: Easy to install Great midrange sound Crossover included for the application
Cons: Must purchase wire harness

CCA wiring
Miguel from Weatherford, TX on 11/22/2024
2022 Toyota Camry
First off , they sound very good. They are installed in a 2022 Camry Dash. Simple and easy replacement and they are working off a factory head unit as of right now. I will be amplifying them soon. Now for my title.... These guys come with a separate crossover and unfortunately they use CCA wiring and not OFC wiring. So I cut the wiring as short as possible, now does that CCA make a huge difference? I don't know. All I know is they sound great.
Pros: Sound Quality Fit
Cons: Cheap wire, copper clad aluminum

Direct bolt in

Cleaner more crisp sound over stock. Stuffing the bulky bass blockers, and factory wiring adapter in the stock location, even after shortening the wires, was a chore.
Pros: Direct bolt in , great sound, quality product and packaging
Cons: Bulky bass blockers make installation more challenging, cost vs performance on the higher end.

JL Tiny Power House
Kevin from Saint Louis, MO on 7/8/2024
Purchased to complete my JL system in my Subaru. Fits perfectly into the dash corners and made the uppers clear to listen to. Compliments the 6.5" C2's I have and the 10" Sub as well. I would recommend this for any Subaru owners that want clear trebles without the harshness of some aluminum domes. The bass blockers are a little chunky but they do fit underneath the tweeters and I used some foam to surround them to prevent any rattling. Another great product by JL.
Pros: Fits as intended. Sounds clear and precise. Bass blockers do their job.
Cons: Takes time to break in.

Solid upgrade option for a 5th Gen 4Runner
Luke from LIVERMORE, CA on 7/2/2024
2023 Toyota 4Runner
Surprisingly good sound for such a simple setup. I had originally upgraded the original full range speaker with an OEM-Subaru Kicker tweeter that uses the same plugs and has a bracket designed for the same speaker. A solid initial upgrade, but when I later-upgraded to JL C1-690tx 3-ways, the system soon skewed too bright. The CF-275MT rounded out the sound profile, adding high midrange balance to the system. Installation: The speakers easily fit into the existing speaker location - you will need to snap off one of the tabs on the side that has 2 holes so that it will fit in the bracket (DO NOT ASSUME THAT IT IS THE SAME TAB ON EITHER SIDE - they are not!). For 4Runner's without the JBL system, you will need to use the crossover if you don't have active crossovers. When using the crossover, you will need to cut the spade connectors off the included Metra harness and wire them to the crossover leads (I used inline heat-shrink connectors that join the two wires together with a solder ring at the center - add heat and it solders together in a shrink tube). The crossovers can be wedged in a small cavity forward of the speakers and will not move. I've heard *CHECK TO CONFIRM* that JBL systems have an active crossover so you do not need the included one - but you will still need to splice to the factory wires. Total install took 45-55 minutes, (Remove old speakers, wiring the harness, and installing new speakers). Sound-5 Stars, Install-4 Stars, Price-3 Stars. Fast shipping!
Pros: Great sound, easy fitment. The included Crutchfield Master Sheet is nice to have but not necessary for this install. Quick and free delivery. Crutchfield's expertise: the 4Runner runs the dash and front door speakers in parallel - requiring the specific [included] Metra harness with wire loops (If I was sourcing these separately, I might have ordered the wrong ones without the loops).
Cons: I think that the notes for the website should note that the harness may need to be cut - it is really implied that this is a plug and play solution when in reality that is the case only for a very specific circumstance. I also think that the Master Sheet is a little too high-level. It would probably be helpful if more photos of the rear of the head-unit were shown, more detailed written directions for removing door cards, and details of the model year that might affect installation.

Smoothed out the mids in my Blazer EV
Don from New York, NY on 6/20/2024
Was wary of these with a lack of reviews, but I took a chance and glad I did. Amp is not recommended for my car so I was looking for options that could be used with factory head unit. Installed these in the dash location of a Blazer EV paired with Infinity References in the doors and it completely smoothed out the frequency response in my car. I used an RTA on pink noise to confirm what my ears were hearing and attached some screenshots to highlight the improvement. The first picture (65.1) is my Tesla Model 3 with Premium audio (Amazing stock system) that I will use as reference for EQ adjustments on the Blazer EV. Smooth aside from a bass bump and attenuation in highs in EQ preferences for personal taste. Pink noise should be more of a diagonal slope from the left for a flat response. Second (66.1) is the Blazer EV with just the Infinitys in the doors and stock dash speakers with no EQ. Very visible dip in the mid range with muddy sound. Third (61.6) is with these installed and no EQ adjustments. Measured at a lower volume but similar results when matching up Decibel level. Factory EQ rolls off sub and can't be helped, but the bass response is still incredible in the setup. The mid dip has been completely smoothed, with a nice roll off at the highs as it should be. I will likely adjust the highs through head unit EQ or adjusting tweeter sensitivity in door coax to lessen the rolloff on the high frequency, but these mid/tweeters have been impressive and
Pros: Clean SQ Nice build quality Easy install Good response
Cons: Higher price

Es350 from Northport, NY on 6/4/2024
2010 Toyota Camry
I have this installed in my 2010 es350 center dash, and the install was plug n play. It fits perfectly in the factory location with zero modification. I have the upgraded Mark Levinson amplifier, which I think pushes enough power for this speaker. One problem is that the sensitivity is too low, and it throws off the whole system; the other speakers tend to overpower it. The other big problem is that this speaker doesn't extend low enough into the mid-range to properly act as a midrange speaker. Voices do not sound full and come out a bit nasally because of the lack of sound under 500hz. Other than that, the sound quality for upper mids and highs is quite good for this price point; the speaker just doesn't make sense for my application. Snare drums and symbols sound great, and so do the higher-frequency metallic sounds of an electric guitar. But the voices really aren't good, and guitars really lack that lower growl and fullness that makes rock/metal good. If you have an aftermarket amplifier and DSP that is capable of pushing more power to this speaker to overcome the low sensitivity and other speakers to compensate for the missing lower mid-range frequencies, then this speaker will not disappoint. However, it doesn't make sense that this speaker doesn't fulfill its primary purpose as a mid-range speaker.
Pros: Good sound quality for the upper mids and treble, clean sound
Cons: low sensitivity, doesn't do its job as a midrange speaker.
