What the auto-reply to each negative review belies is how little this organization seems to care about anything, let alone the fitment of this piece. I was unware of the concern that many others have mentioned about the screws not working as the instructions indicate. For my head unit, though it was of course supposed to fit by their guide, didn't even fit in the piece at all. So I didn't even get the treat of going to the hardware store to find the right hardware. Crutchfield said I should just find a different head unit, about as apathetically as could be. They are knowingly selling a product where hardware does not fit, and in my case, doesn't even fit the head unit. My "resolution" is returning everything and maybe they'll charge a restocking fee if they feel like it. Run, don't walk away from this product, and after this overall purchase experience (other issues too), Crutchfield. 0 Points, 0 Stars.

We are very sorry for the frustration with your radio installation and your Crutchfield experience overall. It appears one of our Tech Support veterans, AJ, tried to assist you by explaining that this particular kit is the only one we offer for your vehicle. We wish we had other alternatives. Additionally, the Pioneer you purchased has a design where it becomes very recessed in the kit (appearing as if it doesn't fit). Other car stereos do not fit this kit that way. But we certainly understand your disappointment, and again, we apologize. AJ and our Customer Support crew set up a return for this customer, and the gear has been returned.

It does the job, but color is very different. I've installed it along side a stereo with a floating screen which thankfully blocked it from seeing it. If not that - I'd be very dissapointed.

Functional, but needs work...

This dash kit is an almost perfect 1:1 fit for the OEM unit that came with the car. Unfortunately, it comes with one big downside for me, and that's the fact that the color is just off. It does not match anything else in my 2015 Honda CR-V EX's cabin. It's a lighter shade of gray than the OEM plate but it's darker than other light gray panels in the cabin. Also, the fit is just a tiny bit off, where you can feel a mismatch between panels with your finger. However, the mismatch cannot be detected with the eye.

Not a fan. Have it installed and the pioneer unit that I purchased to go with it does not fit inside the opening it is recessed behind it so the screen sits recessed in the dash. The faceplate is extremely rigid with slight gaps and likely will not survive removal for a future upgrade or some sort of repair. Disappointed and contemplating a different solution.

Dash kit looks good. Had to move my hazard light connector switch over and that was not mentioned in the directions. Figured it out but needed shorter screws.

Excellent color match, no fit problems, but as others have noted online, if I had used my '13 CR-V original screws to mount the 4-way flasher switch to the top of the adapter it probably would have cracked the plastic on the adapter. A trip with the local hardware store with the switch and adapter solved the problem for less than a dollar, using smaller screws to mount the switch.

Good Product

Great fit and color match to my CR-V. You do need to provide your own (slightly smaller) screws for the hazard light switch, as the OEM screws are a bit too large.

Definitely worth geting the dash kit included in your package. Took my time putting the kit together before starting my install and between this dash kit and the Crutchfield wiring harness it took me a total of an hour and a half from start to finish. Couldnt be happier.

Good build, bad look/functiinality for my pioneer nex

Really well designed for easy positioning on radio. However, the mount recesses the radio a solid 1/2". Didn't like the look, especially since he buttons to the radio were down the left side of the screen. Getting to the buttons was not as direct and easy as it should have been. Wish there were a non recessed version because the competitors version is a rough install.

Great adapter, some dremel adjustment may be required

Depending on the depth of the face of your head unit the end result may be this deeply sitting face; example would be Sony XAV-AX210. It's literally 1-2mm longer and wiser and won't fit though. See photos 1-3. I have tried using Metra adapter instead, which is shallow, but it is of such a horrendous quality that is a no go for a host of other reasons - see all the gaps on photos 4-6. So I returned back to using this schosche but cut off about 5mm from the inside with a dremel. End result - photos 7-9.

Its OK for a 2012 CRV and a Pioneer

The fit and finish is good - by itself. However, it is not a perfect match for a 2012 CRV trim (its close, but does stand out). The Pioneer head unit is also recessed and not flush. On the bright side, it does fit properly in the dash opening. If I graded it ... it would be a C.

Solid unit

Part of my radio install kit. Only issue was the factory screws for the hazard switch didn't fit correctly. Had to dig up some old screws and use a washer to fit correctly

This kit fit my wife's CR-V perfectly. The only downside is that the color is slightly different than the 4-year-old dash pad, which has some sun fading. Would be nice to get some of the little clips that seem to snap at a moment's notice with the kit, but I made do.

some radios do not fit properly

The Pioneer DMH-C2550NEX does not fit inside the dash kit that Crutchfield sent. The pioneer is too big even though Crutchfield said it would fit fine. Upon contacting Crutchfield they replied the radio sits back in and is not flush due to the size difference. I will need to return everything since this is not acceptable for a clean install.

Be careful with the included screws.

Fits well in my 2014 CR-V, but the included screws are too large and will crack the posts if you use them. I had some slightly smaller ones available, and they worked fine.

Works, but could've been much cheaper

It was a bit pricey compared to what I found on other sites. That said, it allowed me to install an Atoto A6 double DIN head unit in my 2014 Honda CR-V.

It does the job, but not pretty

Pretty good fit, but as another user noted the supplied screws crack the plastic. Original CR-V stereo was held in place with metal brackets, but these are all plastic. It's a pretty good fit, but there is a gap around the head unit and this frame

Does not 100% match the interior of the 2016 Honda CRV. The dash kit has a flake/glitter effect. The Dash of the 2016 Honda CRV is pure black without flake/glitter

Ok, but be warned!

Installed this facia with my Pioneer AVIC-8000NEX headunit. A few thoughts; there is a bit of a gap around the radio; larger than I would like, but not super wide (about 1/8"). The screws that come with this product Do Not Fit. They are too large and will crack the plastic. Be Warned. Using smaller screws was a non-issue for me (I have lots in my basement workshop), but this was very annoying.
