It's OK.

It's ok. The dimensions are spot-on. It looks acceptable installed, but definitely not close to OEM. I found the flimsy plastic frustrating to work with, as the pieces kept wanting to come apart.

It gets the job done

The dash kit fits well enough in my Altima. The tabs go in very tightly so I wouldn't want to have to remove the fascia too many times - as can be expected, the plastic is not the same quality as OEM. Also, it's two pieces so that makes removal a little more tricky as well.

Works with Boss BE9ACP

Managed to install a Boss BE9ACP into a 2007 Nissan Altima. Had some difficulty since the radio seemed to not fit correctly and was unaware that I needed to remove some parts of the radio in order for it to fit. Luckily found another review pointing out the same issue and mentioning the solution. If it wasn't for that, support was definitely going to be needed. Other than that, I'm very satisfied with how it turned out and everything fits as intended.

Great kit.

I have installed several stereos for friends and family and this dash kit was the nicest looking so far. It lines up perfectly with the rest of the car and the new stereo. No odd gaps or raised edges. It clips in and made the Boss stereo install in my nieces 2012 Altima look factory perfect. It comes with two different pieces for the bottom section (3 round circles shown in picture and another that is flat across the top). Also had a tray to use with a single DIN stereo but I didnt need that.

Flimsy beacket that works really well.

Installed a Boss BE9ACP into a 2012 Nissan Altima. None of the OE brackets or new radio brackets work. This dash kit does the job. Flimsy plastic that works remarkably well. The Boss unit fits exactly perfectly if you remove the DIM sleeve and shoe horn the unit into the dash kit. Takes quite a bit of prying. Crutchfield support was needed.

Unfortunately, it does not really match the OEM dashboard (and the vents) around it. Our Altima has a carbon fibre color and this kit is solid black so it stands out a little bit. We realize that it's not important but it's noticeable.

Wrong Part

This is an excellent product. My only complaint is that I received two parts for electronic A/C controls and no part to go around the manual A/C controls as in my car. Luckily I had installed on years ago and their error did not slow me down. The correct part is a MUST in these types of installs.

Face plate did not match the surrounding factory trim but most importantly the single DIN radio did not fit the opening. Extensive modification was required to open the opening both width and height. I thought the issue may have been the radio I was attempting to install, but 2 other single DIN radios where compared with the same results. Did not have time to re order so modification through cutting and sanding was required. Would order again.

OK, but not pretty

This dash kit is OK. It fits properly and mounts the radio as expected. However the finish is a flat, smooth finish that simply does not match the rest of the dash. When i installed the the first time it was too much of an eye-soar. All the brackets are also plastic, so I am somewhat concerned about its durability. A much better option is to buy an original Nissan DIN. The Nissan part matches the corrugated finish of the dash perfectly, and you can use the original metal brackets to mount the radio. It does have a problem that the hole for the radio itself is a touch big, however this can be worked around by some creative use of black felt.

I ordered this kit to install a Kenwood DDX375BT in my 2009 Nissan Altima Coupe. It contains all of the parts needed to fit a single-DIN or double-DIN head unit in the dash, whether the air conditioning controls are manual or automatic. I did not need the filler pocket (for a single-DIN) or the bottom piece for the automatic A/C control unit, so I chucked them. There are six pieces in all, but at least one will be useless in any installation. They fit together like a jigsaw puzzle. After much struggling to keep the pieces together (they fall apart easily), I managed to complete the installation. The plastic side frames flexed when I tried to put the inner holes on the alignment pins. The side frames should have been made of metal or a more rigid plastic. The top plate, where the radio is inserted, also separates from the bottom much too easily, which it did when I tried to insert the unit, with the radio and A/C controls installed, into the cavity the first time. There should be screws to hold the pieces together more firmly. Overall, this kit worked well, but after much frustration. It should be made sturdier and hold together better during installation.

Before you buy this check nissan original part number 68260-JA00A

Best option for panel trim is to get the nissan original part number 68260-JA00A (This is the panel for models with factory double din radios) this has the exact same texture as the rest of your dash and is almost perfect for fitting a double din radio. Almost because there will be a small gap at the top of your radio. We compared that to the other install kits including scosche and metra kit finishes and i thought it looked better than the metra and scosche installs. I will post a few photos of my new install it when i get a chance. Only go this route if you have some kind of factory radio on your nissan already so that you will have the rest of the cage where the radio can be fitted to. You could also do this if you have already installed an after market radio and is not satisfied with the look of your metra or scosche front plate and want to have it blend with the rest of your dash

Good but not great.

The plastic, especially on the sides, is a bit thin and therefore doesn't hold the stereo in place perfectly (i.e. it flexes a little) but if you're patient and fiddle around with it a few times, things will line up nicely.

Works like it should. Not too hard to put together. I had a HARD time removing the old one of this exact thing when installing my new radio. Turns out, the 2 tabs (4 total) that are on either side of left and right of it near the top and bottom were still holding on a bit too well. Not sure exactly the right way to get it out, but I ended up breaking the old one to remove it. Luckily I had ordered this one to replace it anyway. Just makes me nervous if I want to pull out my new radio to do something like adding a backup camera or whatever to it.

Perfect fit on a 2011 Nissan Altima. I do recommend getting the plastic dashboard toolkit to remove the stock panels. The plastic on my dash has been deteriorated by the Florida sun and was gummy. The tools reduced further damage to the dash during removal.

Great match to my Dash; access hole could be better.

This item came free with my last purchase from Crutchfield (a Pioneer audio unit with Bluetooth, 2-DIN) and it is a very funny mix of perfect for the 2007 Altima, and completely generic for the 2-DIN audio unit. The opening which the audio unit installs into is about 2mm to wide all the way around, leaving an air gap between the unit and the dash -- not at all like an OEM install. My solution was to build a spacing gasket from door trim to eliminate the gap. Overall it's a good item (and especially good when it comes free with your Crutchfield purchase!) but it is not a perfect solution. Note to Crutchfield: you should develop a gap-filling gasket for this dash kit especially for 2-DIN units. I spent $20 for a roll of vinyl door trim; I would have been crazy-happy to buy a gasket made for this application for $10 to make the final product look as good as the OEM unit I replaced.

If there's a part anyone might debate, it might be this one. However, this part is the difference between a professional looking install versus an amatuer one. In my case, I installed a double-DIN receiver where the stock one wasn't so I couldn't have installed it without something like this. Furthermore, it blends flawlessly with the interior on my car.

Yes, the texture doesn't match newer Altimas. I hate that but can live with it. It's not shiny so it doesn't fingerprint too badly. It is all plastic, even the brackets that hold the deck. That is a bit cheap. The front plates have some tabs sort of "snap" into some slots on the side pieces and it is all plastic. I actually broke one of the tabs off trying to maneuver the thing at one point. Luckily it still holds tight and you can't tell after it's all screwed in. I wish it was a little bit beefier and felt stronger than just a bunch of thin plastic. It fit fine and went in easily. And it looks good once in, even the mismatched texture.

Nice Fit, Cheap Mounts

Fits perfectly into my Nissan Altima. Plain black finish was an eye sore so I painted it with some Krylon texture paint. Not perfect but a huge improvement and now looks like it belongs. Great that it also included the trim for the A/C controls so the whole thing matches in the dash. Main dislike was the mounting brackets were simple plastic. The factory mounts were metal. Seems very fragile to me for a moving vehicle. I guess one should watch out for potholes as to not rattle the mounts.

It was a perfect fit and looks amazing in my Altima. I installed a pioneer double din media player and the end result looks super impressive. People have even asked me if it came with the car. You can find similar online, but buying from Crutchfield takes the guesswork out and shipping was better and faster comparatively. Use painters tape to cover the surface to avoid scratches during installation.
