Stopped charging after 2 months of use

Didn't even reach three months and already they stopped working!!! They do not turn on. When I put them in the charging case the light lights on as if indicating that they are charging; but when I remove them from the case they don't even turn on. I can't perform a factory reset (following youtube tutorial) if they don't even turn on. There's no other reset button on them or the case and I can't seem to find if there's anything I can do to fix them.

Good sound, not so good connectivity

The sound is great, but the connectivity is below average at best. Especially when changing devices, they often show being connected on phone with music playing but no sound is coming out of earbuds. I really wanted a better alternative to Airpods, but the connectivity on these reminds me why I still have Airpods.

After receiving Paul's feedback, we looked up his order and found that his headphones are still under warranty. While his order is beyond Crutchfield's 60-day return policy, he can contact Sennheiser at 860-598-7800 for further information about the 2-year warranty on these headphones.

Bud Duds

I purchased these buds for my birthday and was disappointed with the sound overall. I have only used them a hand full of times at work. I've read other reviews here and I'm having the same issue where my right earbud seems to be completely dead. I've tried everything in the user manual without success. After unpairing them from my phone I can't get them to pair back up since the right bud is shot. The left earbud now has a blinking red and green LED which is supposed to mean it's trying to pair with the right earbud. I meant to return these to Crutchfield within the 90 days but got pulled away by the Army and just didn't get around to it. I went on the Sennheiser site and requested a repair since they're still within the two year warranty period. Fingers crossed as of this post. I'm hoping their tech and customer support are better than the product. Overall the sound was ok when they worked but, I'll stick with my Bose Sport buds as they fit and sound much better.

Beware

Upgraded from Momentum 2. Worlds apart in quality over all. Sound quality is leagues apart. The caveat...one of your buds will die/ you will have case issues.

DO NOT PURCHASE

DO NOT PURCHASE. Good sounding and nice EQ adjustment through the app. Comfortable fit. Problem with these (as others noted as well) the left earbud eventually quits connecting via bluetooth. Sennheiser does have a two-year warranty and I'm now sending my second pair in for the same issue. They did a fairly quick turnaround but when you rely on these daily....10 days is too long....let alone having to do it twice in 18 months. I'm certain a third will also be required....eventually out of warranty and out of luck. Would expect better support if it's a known issue from a reputable name Crutchfield and Sennheiser).

Solid Product

Good, not great. Sennheiser, as always, provides quality sound. The weight distribution of these buds combined with the mediocre quality of the silicone ear inserts makes these difficult to seat properly. The Momentum 2 for much better.

Good quality headphone

Great sound but...

Sound is great. They blow my Apple AirPods II away. Noise cancelling is superb. I would go 5 stars but they do not fit snug enough for working out.

Save you money

Purchased the first set and used them every day always being gentle and careful to not drop them. After less than a year the left bud dropped out as if the blue tooth lost connection. Crutchfield did replace them under warrant and in the same time frame or close to it, the second pair did the same thing. Crutchfield forwarded me to Sebbheiser Support which gave me an RMA and I sent them in asking if they could be repaired or even purchasing a new left one, they replied to run the usual test on my own such as balance control in the app which I already had done. So, save your money and go with another brand like I am going to do. It's too bad because I really liked them, but i won't invest in another set if they set if they are going to do the same thing.

Better than Bose

Easy to use. The application that is used along with the ear buds works efficiently and without a bugs. They have a decent battery life, but I wish it was longer outside of the case. I was hoping for 8 hours, but only got 7. The noise canceling works well; however, I think Bose's noise canceling is better. Yet, Bose's app for their buds sucks and makes Bluetooth connection more difficult than it should be. Both brand ear buds have comparable battery life. Overall, I think the Sennheiser earbuds are high quality and I would buy them again over the Bose. I wish I had heard of this brand sooner.

Crutchfield customer service good. Sennheiser bad.

They sounded great until one ear bud went out. Crutchfield had a new pair delivered the next day. Then one went out on the 2nd pair. Crutchfield said they were still under warranty but since I had to call Sennheiser due to the amount of time I've owned them, understandable. Followed Sennheiser's instructions to send them in for exchange and they don't know anything about them. Guess I'll buy another brand next time.

Definite Improvement Over Beats

These are actually really really good. Bought them in hopes of improving the earbud experience for gym by upgrading on some higher-quality Beats earbuds (don't laugh - they actually sounded good). I've had plenty of Sennheiser headphones before so was confident these would be an improvement. And, yeah, they are, definitely. Much more articulate low- and mid-bass. Smoother midrange. Highs are the easy part with these kinds of devices but even the highs were a bit more relaxed and airy. Sennheiser has really got a winner here so far and I'm very impressed and happy with these things. Caveats? Only that earbuds never quite fit my ear canal with all the stock attachments...but these are more secure than the Beats so small quibble. Highly recommend these for the gym or laptop use.

Do not buy!!!

This product stopped working after a year. It started with the left earbud not charging and then completely dead. Then it was the right earbud, and now both are dead. There is no way to charge them, pair them, or reset them. Save your money, buy something else. I have to say that the sound quality was very good. You can find a lot of videos of people opening the earbuds to get the battery going again. If you have the time and skills and would like to risk it, buy them; if not, stay away.

Exceptional for the price.

Great fit right out of the box. Charged quickly and wore them for about three hours. No problem at all. That said, what is important is the sound. They are not my Sennheiser 800s, but they don't need an Amp to enjoy. I would rate them close to my BT Edifier Stax.

Perfect Fit and Sound

The Momentum 3 fits great and feels much more comfortable than the older Momentum 2 version. The sound quality is very good and I've had no trouble with the app. After a couple phone calls that no one could hear me, I realized I was wearing them upside down. When in the ear, the charging contacts should point upward. The instructions didn't make this very clear.

Great sound and comfort.

I have always purchased cheap Bluetooth earbuds in the past. I have a really nice home stereo system with Triangle Antal Limited Edition 30th anniversary floor standing speaker powered by a NAD C 275BEE amp with a NAD C368 DAC as preamplifier. I wanted a Bluetooth earbud that had good sound quality to try to match my home system. I worked with the sales representative Maddie and told her what I was looking for. She suggested the Sennheiser Momentum 3. I was blown away with the sound quality and the comfort fit. I did not know that an in the ear headphone could sound so good. All of the features work flawlessly. The adaptive hybrid noise-canceling circuitry is amazing. This is a whole new listening experience for me, and I truly love it. These are worth every penny if you are looking for a great sounding Bluetooth earbud. Thank you Maddie for your help.

My first pair of wireless earbuds and I'm impressed. Really great sounding. Vocals are clear and concise. Took a bit for them to get them to fit properly with the right size, but once you have that set up, you'll have no complaints.

Great inner ear buds

Great ear buds great sound. The controls are very easy to use just one tab for this two tabs for that and so one. The noise cancelling is very good, but I have noticed sometimes it splits the sound for a micro second an it sounds like someone is talking behind you or in your ear just for a split second. The battery life is great and the custom fir options are very comfortable.

All around great perforamce

I had no idea how great a better pair of earbuds could sound and function compared to the other cheaper sets I have owned. These just sound and work great - period. They pair with every device I own and reconnect with out any issues - even with our older Samsung TV where the BT pairing and connection has always been problematic with other headphones. The charging case works great and I just set it on the charging pads I already have to recharge the battery bank in the case.

Vast improvement over the TW2

Improved overall from the TW2. The noise-canceling has been vastly improved with the addition of their ear fins, even with the volume down. The fins also help with a better fit, they haven't worked loose yet. After a while I don't even notice that I have them on.

Great sound, not so great battery life

Sounds great, purchased to replace aging Klipsh T5 wireless. One ear didn't fit snug and would fall out if talking long or eating. After about a year, one bud stopped working. It can not be turned on. Warranty doesn't cover batteries so out of luck. Back to using the Klipsh's for awhile

Take my comfort rating with his caveat, I have a really hard time finding buds that fit my sears. So, I would say that the overall comfort rating is "comfortable." I just wish they had bigger ear sleeve and true "fin" design like the Jaybirds. The sound is amazing. However, I find the "touch" sensors a little too sensitive. I am forever turning down the sound or changing a soundscape. I also wish you could power off the buds with one of the control options.

Great sound, very annoying controls. Every time I put them in my ears the sensors decrease the sound all the way down (left ear bud) or all the way up (right ear bud). This requires you to adjust the volume every time you remove or insert the ear buds. Also the range is quite poor at times. I placed my phone on the bed of my truck and walked around to the front of the truck and the ear buds started losing connection.

Fantastic sound quality

I was skeptical about finally breaking down and getting wireless earbuds. I'm of the mindset that if you can't replicate sound from wired earbuds or headphones, then why bother. After using these for a few days listening to all kinds of music and podcasts, I stand corrected. The sound quality of these is absolutely fantastic. It completely blew me away how great they sound. Worth every penny!

Don't recommend

I thought I was upgrading from a pair of cheap jbl live tws 300's I got 3 years ago, but these things are atrocious compared to the cheap jbl's. The didn't even have noise canceling and they canceled the noise better than these. The sound is decent at best. These should be in the low end category I'm very disappointed especially with the good reviews I seen on them before purchasing. The price to performance just isn't there, I would only recommend if you plan on using them in a very quiet office setting.

Nice

Nice set of earbuds. They are comfortable and the different tips and wings let achieve a really nice fit. The sound out of the box is good; however, I have some hearing loss, and the customization allowed me to dial in a custom eq that helps compensate for this. I generally prefer a flatter, neutral sound and these hit the mark. Soundstage is wide and deep, and I rate the dynamic range very good. Happy camper with this purchase and recommend them highly. There are better sets of ear buds/iems but those will be wired and much more expensive than these.

Surprisingly good wireless earbuds

I purchased these to transition from over-ear headphones for conference calls to have something less bulky and less noticeable with video enabled, but I have found myself listening to music with them frequently due to the excellent audio quality. My main listening setup is a FiiO K5 Pro driving HD 6xx headphones, so I was pleasantly surprised to find a set of wireless earbuds I can enjoy. I was concerned about comfort, since in-ears have bothered me in the past. These have been comfortable enough to wear for as long as needed, once I switched to the best-fitting of the included ear tips. The noise cancelling has been great, though I have not tested it in a very loud environment. I like the ease of switching to transparency mode with a simple tap of the left earbud, which will also pause playing music and resume when switching back. This is a configurable option in the surprisingly useful Smart Control application. Simultaneous device connectivity is enabled with the current firmware, so that complaint in early reviews is now irrelevant. It has worked fine with my MacBook Pro and Android phone, and I appreciate the support for both AAC and AptX to optimize connectivity for each device. I very much like the small and stylish case that recharges the earbuds without any cables, at least until the battery in the case is depleted. Overall, I have been pleasantly surprised by how enjoyable these wireless earbuds have been to use. I have no complain

Great headphones. Big upgrade from my first gen Air Pods Pro. They're quite comfortable and don't feel like they're always on the verge of falling out (as my old Air Pods Pro did). Fantastic sound quality for this price point (none of the in-ear Air Pods come anywhere close to these). The Sennheiser Smart Control app works well and offers a large array of customizable sound and control options.

You can't go wrong here

They sound good and feel good. I wear them on my daily fitness walks and they stay put. I would like to see more than just a 3-band EQ in the app though. Noise cancelling is good. maybe too good, but I haven't had them long enough to be an expert. I am also new to ear buds in general, so I am still getting used to the touch operations. It is a little clumsy for me, but maybe I just don't have the experience yet, however, there are lots of configs in the app to control all the various functions. I would absolutely recommend them to anyone looking for solid mid-priced buds. Sennheiser has a good reputation in the pro audio, microphone, and headphone world and that's why I went for them.

Still great sound and fit

Lost my Momentum 2s and quickly replaced them with the model 3. They sound just as good, but in a slightly smaller package, which is always good. The additional fitting ring was a thoughtful option. The latest version of the app has a few functional updates.

Great sound! This was my criteria for purchase. ANC is not as good as my Bose 700 headphones but for the form factor they hold their own and I have to say these Sennheisers sound better. In fact they sound as good as any buds that are wired. All buds make my ears itch after a while so i can alternate with the headphones when needed. You also get 4 tip sizes. Touch controls are very precise, and with the app you can disable touch control when needed. Also the firmware update allows pairing of 2 devices at the same time. The app equalizer with custom presets functions well.

Very little information, other than basic connectivity, in the manual. You can use only one if you're like me and desire to hear the TV and your wife at the same time (don't judge LOL). The sound is awesome, and fitment is perfect for me right out of the box. I only give them 4 stars because I purchased them for the low latency capability. The latency is very similar to a much cheaper set. Perhaps there's a setting I'm missing that isn't documented in the condensed "manual".

Pure Bliss...

Now...I don't know what some of the reviewers that has given these earphones less than 5 stars been listening too. MTW3's are by far the best in ear earphones and touch controls I've used. Prior to owning MTW3, I was using Sony 1000XM4's. Which most say are the best around. If you are an audiophile enthusiast, you will clearly choose MTW3 over Sony XM4's. As far as the ANC/Bass goes, I will rate Sony XM4's a 5 over MTW3. I would give MTW3 a 4.9 though for ANC. That's the only features/categories that Sony XM4 wins. The app is easy to use an has a lot of features and once you update the MTW3's to the new firmware that support Hi-Res audio. The EQ in the app I leave flat and the bass is good enough that I have no need to flip the switch to boost it. Phone calls are crisp and clear with no issues being heard by the person I called while standing outside in the wind. MTW3's sounds good when listening to all types of music. If you love lossless or Hi-Res Audio, here are some songs that brings the MTW3's to life, where you can hear all instruments and vocals crisp and clear! Fleetwood Mac - The Chain, Lynyrd Skynyrd - Simple Man, AC/DC - Highway to Hell, Bob Seger - Night Moves, Eagles- Hotel California. I will be using these as my daily drivers and perfectly happy with my purchase and would highly recommend to anyone looking for the best overall in ear earphones! Honestly...the price didn't scare me. Because I knew the quality I was getting.

Great headphones. Dynamics are outstanding and the transparency mode is a great feature allowing you to hear without having to remove the headphones. The case is very nicely built but a little bulky for my preferences. On that particular department the AirPods continue to be king however on sound quality these ones blows away the Apple offering.

Small profile, sounds great

Comfort: Good. Stays put during walking and sitting. I cannot use for vigorous exercise because they will fall out. If I smile wide while talking, they get looser and will fall out if I'm not careful. I use a larger size tip in one ear so I'm happy Sennheiser provided different size tips. These earbuds are much smaller than my older version Bose. Sound quality: to my ears, great sound clarity and depth. I went from an older version of Bose wireless and these Sennheiser are same to better. Talking on the phone, people say I'm clear. Noise cancellation: great noise reduction. I have to always have the noise cancellation on, however, because when noise cancellation is off, there's an annoying buzzing, humming. It's annoying. Connect to iPhone: quick and easy. But sometimes I'm connected, listening, and the Voice will say "Connected" even tho I'm already connected. Hmm. App: connected quickly and easily. But the app has frozen several times. I'm still learning how to use it. I think the app could be easier/simpler. Battery life: as advertised--more than 5 hours. I wish the case would be more clear on when it needs to be charged. Overall, I wanted a smaller pair of wireless earbuds that sounded great and after having these for a month, I am happy with them. Small, sounds great. 5 for sound and battery, but gave 4 stars overall for the fit which is not ideal for ,y ears.

These wireless earbuds are exactly what I was looking for. Sennheiser products have always performed well for me, and these Momentum True Wireless 3 earbuds are no exception. They provide exceptional sound quality and are very comfortable to wear for extended periods. While I am still breaking them in, they appear to be very well made with the high level of overall quality I have come to expect from Sennheiser. The tonal balance, from deep bass to non-fatiguing treble, is exactly what I was looking for, and the comfort level when inserted in my ears is absolutely perfect for me. I recommend these earbuds to anyone looking for a quality product from a highly respected company known throughout the audiophile community for providing products which offer years of enjoyment. Hard to get a good fit, despite trying different ear pieces. Sound is good but there is a hiss in the right ear bud which is annoying. Not the best sound from earbuds and I have tried 5 major brands now: B&O, Sennheiser, Bose Quiet Comfort and Quiet Comfort II, Bowers & Wilkins, Sony. To my ears the Bose QC is the very best with the Sennheiser and Bose QC II second. I read many reviews of Sennheiser but their earbuds and headphones just do not make the top grade for me.

Didn't Work on the Plane

I've been using these for a few months now, mostly when running. The sound is great, and I've had very few instances of them popping out of my ear. Biggest issue was on a very hot day when I sweat so much they became very loose and uncomfortable. Fast forward to recently when I flew overseas. Plan was to turn on noise-canceling and try to sleep... The left ear piece would NOT STOP BEEPING!!! Batteries were fully charged. A quick web search indicated that there may be too much interference... I'm on a plane surrounded by tens of other people also with Bluetooth headsets - of course there will be a lot of chatter. Why are all those other headsets working fine but mine can't?

Terrible for the price, microphone is awful for talking on the phone. I get complaints constantly saying I sound like I'm underwater. Within a week of buying I started having problems with my right earphone, it would randomly just cut out and stop playing, when I tried to reconnect it wouldn't work. I had to restart the whole headset every time to get them to work properly again, obviously not the end of the world but very annoying if you're working out or riding a bike or driving. I tried to contact seinheiser to ask for a refund and they wouldn't let me return them, they said they could try to repair them. I decided to give it a little more time. About a month in I began to get random sustained feedback in my right earphone. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS SET.

Excellent value for money

I own a pair of the B&W PI7, the Sony WF-1000XM4 and this set of earbuds. The Sennheiser is very comfortable and secure. Sound quality is awesome and is a bit on the brighter side. The Sony is quite bright - a bit too bright for me, actually. Both the Sony and Sennheiser excel at mids and highs but don't quite have the punch for the lows. The lows are definitely underwhelming for both of them. The B&W is warm - and does very well at highs, mids, and lows. However it suffers from reliability issues and the stuttering is so bad that I rarely use it - if at all. I usually reach for the Sony for voice and Sennnheiser for music. Overall, it's an excellent set of earbuds. Get it and you'll be happy - as long as you focus on the audio and how well it works. Don't get into analysis paralysis! Noise canceling is also very good.

Very sleek design, comfortable in the ears, and great sound quality. I'm giving it four stars because getting the device set up was complicated, particularly as it required a substantial firmware update right away. The Bluetooth also as some weaknesses, as signal can dip or get interference when walking around outside even when the source device is right in my pocket. All things considered, I think it's a great product and I'd highly recommend.

Very good sound. After doing a firmware update they would connect to Bluetooth but not always play sound. I did a factory reset from the Sennheiser app and they work fine now. Crutchfield technical support does a great job.

They sound great... when you can get them to stay in your ears. The fit on these just didn't work for me, despite trying every one of the different tips. Even with the largest fins installed, these won't hold a seal for long and eventually launch themselves out of my ears. Something about the shape and the weighting just doesn't work. They also fall out immediately if I move my face at all (like chewing or smiling or talking). I bought these Sennheisers to replace the Beats Power Fit Pro that I just returned. The Beats fit great and stayed in my ears all day, but the midrange and treble on those is very tinny and their constant attempts to connect to every Apple device that I own is infuriating. I guess my search for workout headphones still is not over.

Excellent earbuds with several drawbacks

The newest iteration of these excellent Sennheiser true wireless earbuds. Remarkably small and comfortable. These are the smallest of my various earbuds and the most comfortable. I recently upgraded from the Momentum 2 with hopes that they would resolve electrical static problems but it continues. The Sennheiser consumer division was sold in the past year and one wonders if this change is reflected in the continuing issues with their true wireless products. This has been a disappointment especially for earbuds in a high price range. The great Sony WF-1000XM4 earbuds are always at the top of any professional reviewers list with good reason: much more reliable and consistent quality than the Sennheiser buds, no static or cutouts, although a bit larger.

Simply the best sounding ear buds

Simply the best sounding ear buds I've ever heard - the soundstage these create is amazing and continues to blow me away. Part of me wishes the case and/or the buds themselves carried a bit more heft, but they are customizable to find a pretty comfortable fit. You could probably spend more money on a higher fidelity set of ear buds, but it is unlikely that the incremental improvement in sound would be worth the increase in spend. These reproduce all genres of music exceptionally well at both high and low volumes. They are a close second to my Meze headphones in high fidelity equipment.

Trouble with transparency

Generally, it's a great ear bud. The sound is great. I knock off a star because some little things which are actually big things. If you're using an iPhone and need to toggle transparency/noise canceling, you'll hang up your call. Not good. It you are using your Momentums with your MacBook and try to toggle transparency during a Zoom call, all that happens is you trigger Siri. Also not cool. They are a little TOO isolating for my home use, like described above or if someone calls out to me; even in transparent mode, it's not as transparent as AirPods. That being said, AirPods can't cancel noise as well as Momentums on a plane or using a power tool. So, take this review and see if it matches your needs.

These are great! I have a fairly decent hearing loss, and get occasional nasty stares from my wife over volume. These solved the problem. The sound quality is equal to a good pair of over the ear headphones. The setup was quick, and the learning curve was short. I love them.

Great headphones

I drive an old, loud, diesel box truck at work and the anti wind and noise canceling works very well. The transparency mode works very good too. I am switching from older airpods and the sound is nice upgrade, makes the music exciting. The comfort compared to the airpods is a step down or two though.

These fit my ears better than the Sony WF-1000-XM4. These have all controls on the buds and are customizable, volume, anc, skip, repeat voice assistance. The sound is excellent with built in EQ settings and the sound test to your ears while listening to your music, makes it easier to create your own EQ settings to your taste. Battery life with ANC on at 60-70% volume on an iPhone 13 pro max is very good. I had 60% battery life on the Sennheier MTW3 after having them on for 3 1/2 hours with No ear fatigue at all. I did add the Comply foam tips which I prefer on all my earbuds. Which make the ear isolation better. The silicone tips that come with the buds are very good, but I feel the best part of these buds are the rubber ear wings to secure them in your ears. They do not move in your ears, what a huge difference this makes. I feel that the price for these earbuds are good, one negative for me, is no multipoint for two devices at the same time. I have read that this will be available on a future firmware update. The Sennheiser app for the earbuds are excellent, Sony's app is a little better, but not by much more. The Sennheiser is a must have and with Crutchfield warranty to try them up to 60 days helps a lot in making this decision.

Exceptional Fidelity

Sennheiser TW3 Most earbuds do a pretty good job of either lush musical sound or bass popping funky beat. If your older, these do a good job of helping with hearing loss owing to plenty of volume. If that's what you're looking for these are not for you. They won't blow your ear drums out or rock that funky beat. What they will do is provide an unparalleled clarity you won't find in anything in this price range. Listening to the Durufle Requiem as performed by the Choir of St. John's College you'll hear individual choral voices as if you were at a live performance. The colorful timbre of each voice melds with the others together yet remind subtlety distinct from each other. I've performed this work as a tenor in my younger years. I know it well. The fortissimo crescendos are not over modulated. That's a first for me. Better than the B brand or the A brand. The Dias Illas crescendo would always over-modulate, break up and distort on my other earbuds. I flew helicopters for many years and had always thought it was probably some hearing loss that caused the distortion. Not so. You may find louder and lusher than these. The TW3 will be different than what you are used to. Buy I doubt you'll find more accurate or more faithful to the original recording. If you love music. You'll love these.

Better sounding than the TW2

I thought the TW 2 were outstanding when those were released. The TW3 outperform them in both sound quality and noise cancelling. I'm not an audiophile and can only speak to what sounds good to my ears. The sound is more spacious and open compared to the TW2. I hope they update the app with a better EQ like the Sony app. Also the high quality audio setting has been removed. This pair seems to be more picky about positioning in the ears. A bit of trial and error with the wings and ear tips is needed to find the sweet spot.

Good Airpods Pro alternative

I had Airpods and my wife had the Pro's which are nice but since they have been out for a while with competition I checked reviews for alternatives when wanting to upgrade. I'll say that Sennheiser has topped Apple in sound quality and aesthetics of the case. Actually the aesthetics of the buds are not off but what I will say is there is difference in the way they fit which is also part of the appearance. The AirPods Pro contain some of the weight with the battery in the stem, it's Apple style and fit which is slimmer but not lighter. Trying both, I am slightly bias on the looks of Apple while they both have a good fit. The Sennheiser have the weight centered and out from the ear instead of out and down. I would say that if you are an apple fan, I still recommend the Sennheiser for sound quality but you might want them in white for a similar appearance to the Apple products. You can read or watch other reviews but I don't think you will be disappointed.
