Sony is the best

I use my Sony Walkman for a minimum of 2 hours a day due to medical procedures. I love this thing. I use both Tidal and Qobuz and the music quality is superb.

Sony Walkman

The Sony Walkman is a terrible product. Won't run without Google android. Set up time and details are terrible. Wouldn't recognize Bluetooth connections after multiple attempts and resets of the player. I have an old Walkman that was a great product, tiny, didn't depend on Google products to run. It's an MP3 player, and that should be rock simple to use. Sony has lost their soul and given it to Google, and it's a shame. I bought an Astell and Kern from Crutchfield, worked perfect out of the box, had it working in less than 5 minutes. That's the way Sony should have been.

a groovy little deck of cards, wish it came in GREEN

We HOPE this turns out to be our most favorite purchase of the year. It transforms the car audio unbelievably. We want to just have a chip embedded in the back of our neck so we don't have to deal with the simply moronic OS. One can't have everything :( Until this is a dashboard audio slot that plays 45's, this little guy is sonically supreme . 4 STARS IS THE HIGHEST WE CAN HONESTLY GO.

Sony NW-A306 Walkman

The Walkman appears to be a nice piece of electronics. But somehow it got into a safe mode and now cant get where I want. And talking to service were not able to assist. I am working a couple more angles but will probably contact you to return the product and have $$ returned.

Sound quality excellent, operating system a mixed bag.

Build quality is excellent. No issues with volume having it drive a pair of Grado SR80e headphones. Audio quality is also outstanding. The Digital Sound Enhancement Engine makes a noticeable difference to MP3 files. The Android operating system is a mixed bag. It allows a variety of music players, wifi connectivity for streaming has been without hiccup. There are choices for the main UI screen. The cons are that start-up from power-on to log-on screen takes 35 seconds. A number of pre-loaded apps are not removable. (I want this strictly as a music player; I don't need a health app on it). Battery life has been pretty good, lasting over 24 hours with heavy use. Overall I've been very happy with this Walkman player.
