This enables me to control amp volume on my car stereo amps in home . I have a new modern tv with optical out to a dac into rca . Next is this wonderful device that allows precise volume control over the system . The signal then runs through an epicenter then equalizer then crossover to 3 amps . If your like me and have nice old school audio sitting idle , all you need is a 20 amp ac to dc converter and this device . I did switch out the 3" screaming fan for a quiet fan for the inverter . It's great to hear the thunder from years past brought back to life once again .

Pros: Simple inline rca with the ability to add a long cat 5 cable .

Cons: Can't possibly think of anything negative , might spring for two more to have total system control .
