Fun little device to restore lost bass or add more than originally intended. Easy install and included control knob lets you easily adjust what it's doing on the fly.
Pros: Works great Easy Install Small knob easy to install discretely
Cons: Nothing so far

AudioControl Epicenter Micro exceeded expectations
DRDE from Severn, MD on 4/22/2025
This product exceeded all expectations. It converted a speaker-level input off of a factory woofer into RCA to feed a downstream amp. The low end quality is now simply impressive. While there was a question as to whether or not the single input needed to be spliced to occupy both R/L speaker level inputs, all other directions provided in the manual were clear and informative. Well worth the investment.
Pros: Easy to install; small size makes it concealable
Cons: Easily scratched; phone jack-style head for cord for dash remote is difficult to route through car panels; directions don't state whether a single speaker-level input needs to be spliced to fill the L/R inputs

Bass magic
Russell from Franklin, TN on 4/26/2024
I still find myself fine tuning the Epicenter, but the Epicenter really does bring up the Bass in my low bass music, as advertised! If you listen to music that lacks bass and you wish to bring it back in, this tool does it great. Every system should have this in line with their sub pre-outs.
Pros: Relatively inexpensive considering what you get. I performs as advertised and super easy to integrate into your system.
Cons: There are none!

Extra Bass for the Camaro
Randy from Fresno, CA on 3/25/2024
The latest addition to my 2002 Camaro SS convertible stereo build was the The Epicenter Micro. I had used the last model of the Epicenter in another vehicle and loved the way it brought out that bass that was lacking in some recordings. The space is limited in my convertible, so I opted for the Micro. It is so much more compact than the original with more features. I ended up mounting it in the space created by the trunk lock mount. There is a plastic tray mounted there that is simply held in place with plastic push pins. I cut out a mount for the Micro from 1/8" ABS plastic and screwed the micro to it. I then used 3m Dual Lock strips to fasten that mount to the plastic tray. I purchased a reproduction panel for the convertible top up/down switch on the console since I don't like carving up original pieces! I cut a slot for a HomeLink transmitter then, after using the case for the remote control as a template, cut out the holes for the ACR-4 wired remote control. This was easier said than done though. I practiced on a scrap piece of 1/8" ABS plastic and quickly found out that 1/8" was the maximum thickness of material that could be used and still be able to thread the retaining nut on the knob shaft. Fortunately, my panel was just slightly thinner, so it did work ok. After all this, I can say that the Micro works great! It feeds from the sub outputs of my Kenwood Exelon DMX958XR and into a Cerwin Vega VPSTX12 slim spare tire mounted sub. I highly recommend it!
Pros: Makes adequate bass so much better! Love the size and the dual-purpose control knob which allows you to control the effect and volume of a sub. The humor in AudioControl's instructions make me smile!
Cons: A template for mounting the knob outside of its case would make things easier. Also, the module is not flat at the backside of the knob shaft and makes it more difficult to install outside the case. Probably better to just keep it in its case in most instances.

Outstanding product
Jonathan from Brentwood N Y on 6/2/2023
Love the micro, I had an older model and stepped up to the micro and it's everything I hoped for. Trying to set it to work with every song but love being able to adjust it at a fingertip. 10 out of 10 I swear. LOL
Pros: Have to change it sometimes for some songs but majority of the time amazing
Cons: None

AudioControl The Epicenter Micro
Magdiel from Othello, WA on 5/12/2023
Good product for adding bass to music that doesn't have much in the recording. I like the bass knob which is two in one. One for epicenter and one for bass volume. I also mostly got this product because it has a line converter and also a turn on feature that doesn't require a remote battery turn on wire. It starts with audio signal. And you can also use it to sent a remote turn on to your amp. I like it plain and simple. Also Crutchfield is a great place to buy. They offer fast shipping and tech support. ????

Perfect for Honda
Jonathan from LONG BEACH, CA on 3/21/2022
Worked amazingly on my 2018 Honda Accord Touring. Tried some cheaper LOCs and even the kicker keyloc on both the sub and other speaker signals with the same ugly result. This all in one literally restored the bass unlike all of the other LOCs I tried and sounds amazing. Just need to tune it a bit more and I should be good but so far I am very impressed. I have read mixed information in regards to having to use an additional epicenter after this but that is not the case.
Pros: Restores and improves the signal for subs
Cons: Dual remote knobs can get stuck to each other from time to time

There is no "restoration"
Zane from Castle Rock, WA on 2/18/2022
This does not provide any kind of "restoration" what so ever. I bought this to hopefully replace my LC2i Pro that I used when replacing the factory sub with an after market one, which didn't sound great, and now using this it sounds the same or even worse with any setting other than off. The "paraBass" controls are what they mean by the "bass restoration", but what it actually is is a variable gaussian gain boost which just increases the gain at these frequencies. This might be fine if you're 16 and just want to boost frequencies around 40Hz in the highschool parking lot, but it sounds terrible and adds enormous amounts of distortion. I wouldn't buy this for more than $60, and that's only if I wanted a knob to play with at stop lights to impress chicks.
Pros: It functions as a line converter and that's it. Has a knob to turn up and down the distortion.
Cons: Adds lots of distortion. Does not restore any lower frequencies, only boosts them.

AudioControl The Epicenter Micro
Chris from Bear Delaware on 2/17/2022
It's a nice piece of equipment I like the size and the simplicity of it. I just wish they had the option to use the PFM filter with it. if you had any PFM filter lower then 20hz with your older model you would need to get use to the new one. And what happen to the 2.5 voltage setting?
Pros: High level, and low level, size, dual control knob
Cons: No PFM filter, no 2.5 voltage, still needs a full rang signal to work properly
