Installed this into a 1997 Chevy regular cab truck. Install was very simple and easy. The sound this speaker/amp combo puts out is amazing. The bass knob you can install on the dash is perfect to quickly and easily adjust the bass per song. Would highly recommend this speaker/amp combo. We installed on the back wall of the cab behind the bench seat.

Put this in a 2023 Trailboss without the Bose. I'm am purely amazed at how well it improved the overall sound. I half assumed I would return it, being that it couldn't provide much sound being so small. I was wrong. I will likely buy another for my wife's Cx9. Fairly easy install too. Only struggle I had was figuring out which wires to tap into. But that isn't much of a complaint really.
Pros: Space saving big sound
Cons: Don't have one yet.

Pros: Easy install. Great sound. Good looking product. Auto on with Bronco when wired to kick panel speakers excellent option.
Cons: Need longer power wire if running sub all the way back like I did. Not really Kicker's issue.

Great compliment to a headunit and speaker upgrade.
Skot from CHICO, CA on 7/8/2023
Outstanding small subwoofer. It fit under the rear seat of my 2003 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD with a minor modification to the rear seat height (3 washers). The sound is perfect for my upgraded system. It adds that right amount of depth to my tunes. It's not a window rattler but it compliments the upgraded speakers and head unit perfectly.
Pros: Fits in small spaces well. Sounds fantastic. Easy to wire up.
Cons: No RCA sub connection. You can order one from Kicker or make your own.

Great Powered Sub; Needs Improved Cabling
William B. from SPRINGDALE, AR on 7/4/2023
2010 Toyota Tundra
Love my new Kicker 11HS8 powered sub. It really complements my Kicker speakers and Kenwood very well and fills out the sound of my 2010 Toyota Tundra extended cab. Great features, low profile. Installed it under the back seat of my extended cab Toyota Tundra. Wanted to use the straps, but ended up using the mounting brackets instead. I need to spend some time tuning in the settings; but love the remote control. I mounted it right near the console gear shift so I can easily change the sound as needed. The only complaint I have is the wiring provided by Kicker. The power wire is long enough to get to the battery, but the speaker wires and power control wire aren't long enough to get to the head unit. I had to splice in additional wiring to get it to the head unit. The only installation issues I had that weren't specifically just challenges that come along with car audio installation was that the sub wouldn't come on for a while. Evidently I didn't have a good ground established to the chassis of the vehicle and wasn't getting a full 12V+ between + and - terminals of the unit. Once I established a better ground to the chassis this was quickly resolved. Overall a great purchase and looking forward to many miles of enjoyment!
Pros: Great sound; relatively easy install
Cons: Supplied wiring from Kicker isn't sufficiently long enough for an installation. Had to splice in additional wiring.

Exceeded my expectations for the money, size and power rating. If you're looking for a compact sub that produces accurate lows this is a great option. Don't get this expecting it to hit like a pair of W6's running 1000w rms. However, if you want a nice accurate low end in a compact and affordable package this is a perfect sub.
Pros: Rugged enclosure, fits almost anywhere, adds depth to any style of music, nice accurate sealed box sound.
Cons: No RCA's but definitely not a deal breaker, it was easy enough to splice in cut and stripped RCA's from the head unit.

Pros: Fit and ease of install
Cons: None, as it does what I wanted

The speaker has a design flaw, I've had them replace it 3 times and it's been the speaker every time. Send it to them and they throw another junk speaker in it and in a year or less it will blow. When it works it sounds great but kicker hasn't decided to fix the speaker issue. If you do some research on these you'll see it's a common problem.
Pros: The sound is great!
Cons: The speaker keeps blowing.

***** WOW !! Just WOW !!! ***** 99 aJeep Grand Cherokee Install Location: UNDER Passenger Seat Many Online Reviews were negative because they didn't give it its required power !! THIS IS A BASS AMP and SUBWOOFER - It needs power. RUNNING POWER off a powerline in the cabin is a NO NO. At first it cutout and sounded like garbage. Im sure many "peeps" burned out their Kicker SubAMP that way after 6mos living with a waaaaay underperforming Kicker Sub/Amp. BUT knowing it's a KICKER BRAND and Manual said long Positive Redwire DIRECT TO BATTERY I did that. Many vehicles already have grommets thru the Firewall. Get a AGM battery from Walmart and run Power DIRECT TO BATTERY and this Sub is a MONSTER !! Don't expect MDF 10" Sub Quality BUT Super tight Bass on all Music Genres !! ;). TOTALLY BLOWN AWAY!! My Kenwood AV System was TOTALLY missing this. Yes i used the High Level Spkr Inputs. Get this you eont be sorry !! Yes I have built Custom Sound and AV Sytems. RobertinATL
Pros: Wow !! -Used High Level in with Supplied Crimps MEGA IMPRESSED !! Solid Punchy Bass !! Use the Bass Remote Had to Really work between Seat Rails on 99-2001 Jeep GC to get it in but it fit ... barely. My system sounds incredible now.
Cons: I wanted RCA LOW LEVEL INPUTS - NOT Necessary at all. Mite bit smaller but still fits.

Excellent product. Adds the missing bass to my '21 Bronco without taking up much space. Speaker wire connections can be done with posit apps, or wire nuts (neither is included) or by splicing wires with included but connectors. The enclosure is stout and the wiring instructions are very clear. Won't fit under bronco seats so it is in cargo area on floor. Could mount to side of cargo area or back of rear seats. Overall, it's a good choice for small and midsize vehicles looking to add some punch to their music without distortion or shaking the whole vehicle.
Pros: Clear installation instructions Good addition to factory stereo
Cons: May not be large enough subwoofer for a larger vehicle but is plenty for mine

Great choice for my 2002 BMW E53 X5 build. It fit into the right rear cubby perfectly and was relatively easy to wire up for an amateur like myself. Since I tapped into the factory amp wire harness for a trigger my Bentley manual was invaluable for the wiring diagrams. My trigger worked fine, but as a backup I was happy that the Kicker sub has another mode that will turn it on when RCA signal is sensed. Don't mind the mess of wires in the photo, I'm waiting to clean it all up (back-up camera wiring and relay is in there too) until after do finish upgrading the sound system and make sure it all works together. Power came from a conveniently placed power bus in the spare tire well, which is the first stop for the battery positive cable (see pic). I had pre-run RCA cables from my Kenwood XMX9707 (another Crutchfield purchase) across the roof a few months ago when I had the headliner and pillar covers out to recover so they were a snap to plug into the Kenwood and the Kicker sub. My only complaint was that the Kicker instructions are in black and white, but the wires and cables are color coded (RCA blue/red, etc.). Right now its running in addition to the stock OE system in the X5, but I'm still planning on upgrading the OE amp/speakers with Kenwood unit and Kicker speakers. Even without this the addition of the Kicker powered sub is a major game changer for the car. It sounds 100% better, with lots more depth and feel to the sound.

I purchased the kicker CS system (6) speakers. They sounded amazing, detail, spacious, balanced and punchy. I installed the Kicker Hideaway 8 to catch the bottom octave. To my surprise the bass didn't necessarily go deeper. However, what it did do was killer. I rolled of 150hz and below on the CS speakers and threw it onto the Hideaway 8. The result was a much cleaner low mid reproduction that I think may be the result of less excursion phasing and distortion that occurs above the very low frequencies. I got a very punchy low end with incredible detail. Forget the thud. You can actually hear the head on the kick drum and the beater. The low end is super tight and detailed. If you want boom get 18" subs and blow the screws out of your car. But, if you want bass and kick that sounds like an actual bass and kick drum and like it's hitting a brick wall this is the speaker. It goes plenty deep and punches hard yet is very musical. I love my kicker system.

Bruce from Port Wentworth, GA on 6/16/2022
This was my first experience with Crutchfield and I couldn't be more pleased. Every time I called I was immediately put together with a professional and helpful sales guy who knew what he was talking about and interested in my goals for my car stereo system. I ordered many parts in addition to this order and everything was shipped the same day and arrived at my doorstep a couple of days later. Then I needed to return some of the items and all it took was a brief phone call to their customer service and they emailed me a return label for each of the items I was returning. So it cost me nothing to return the items. All I had to do was to drop off the boxes with the return labels at UPS. This is definitely a five star company!
Pros: immediate professional sales advice to guide me through my purchase. Fast shipping and easy return of parts I didn't eventually need.
Cons: I have nothing negative to say about my experience with this company.

This thing sounds great. Not too loud, and you won't win any contests with it. However if fills in the spots where the other speakers can't. I've had this under my seat of my Honda Element, and my Nissan Frontier pick-up truck. It's great because you can't tell it is even in the cab. I also added a remote bass knob to control the amount of bass. I can dial it in pretty well. Anyways, if you don't care about breaking windows or shattering your mirrors, this thing is amazing. Clean, punchy bass without much distortion.
Pros: bang for the buck clarity small enough to fit under seats

I was looking for a small sub to add in my 98 Jeep Wrangler, and this is perfect! If you are looking for something for your Jeep, this is a great option! It fits perfectly underneath the back seat, all of the provided cables are long enough to reach your head unit and your battery through your firewall. It sounds great and adds just the right amount of bass without being overbearing. One thing I would note is that this will not work with a LOC (line output converter) to connect to RCA. You will either need to get the Kicker brand adapter as mentioned in the install instructions, or connect directly to your speaker wires. All in all, this is a great buy! I would highly recommend it.

Recently bought this sub because i got a bigger truck with less space behind the seats. Previously had a kicker 1200 watt amp with 2 6 inch subs in one enclosure. It was phenomenal. I assumed this would have at least close to what I had being powered and all that. But it definitely had you wanting more. And as of today I used it for maybe the 5th time since installing, blew out the sub speaker. Wasn't doing anything I wasn't supposed to. Volume and levels were only cranked halfway, then... I heard the trashy rattle of a blown speaker coming out of this sub. I was really excited and willing to live with it because it optimized my space, but now I'm completely let down.
Pros: Compact, adds some depth for really low tones.
Cons: Very little power to it, speaker blew out within a week.

Great Upgrade for the Price
Crutchfield customer from Casselberry, FL on 2/13/2022
2012 Toyota Tacoma
Installed under the front passenger seat in my old 2012 Tacoma, with a Pioneer AVH-X4800BS head unit. Paired with the new head unit, the customization on the sub was extensive, and provided great sound over the stock system. If you're looking to rattle the windows then you'll need to look for a different set-up, but if you want to fill out the sound in a small cabin this did a perfect job. The separate gain controller made on-the-fly adjustments easy, and I mounted mine on the inside wall of the center console to be out of the way. For the money, this is a relatively easy and quick upgrade.

WHOA!

2017 Honda HR-V EX
Fits like a glove underneath the passenger seat. Install was straight forward, the only stumble I had was connecting the wires from the sub to the stock head unit on a 2018 Subaru Sti radio harness. Called Crutchfield and spoke to Christol and explained my situation, sent an email to me that showed a picture of a ten pin harness with a list of color code and location of each speaker, in a matter of minutes I have BASS! This Kicker is really awesome, fills in the low bass that's missing from before and it's not big bass that anyone could hear from outside but, inside the cab where it counts and my brother really loves it because this install was for his car and he was in awe when he first heard that bass. What an amazing sub woofer for it's size and power. Thank you Crutchfield for making my brother have an enjoyable drive wherever he goes.
Pros: Big BASS in a small package

Waste of money!!!
James from Highlands Ranch, CO on 1/15/2022
Don't waste your money.. I have purchased several different Kicker items Over the years, but this one is the worst. Installed it in my Jeep Wrangler, install was easy but the sound was terrible. I didn't expect to have deep base, but did expected enough for country and rock music-not even close-tried many different settings and still did not meet expectations.
Pros: Easy to install Compact design

Meh...I suppose it's alright for an 8.
Don from LEAGUE CITY, TX on 1/11/2022
It works as advertised, but don't expect too much from this powered 8" speaker. Simply look at the size of the enclosure, and you already know this 8" sub is not going to bump. Then again, if you expect to ground pound with a single 8...well, you seriously need to learn to manage your expectations. It feels like this is designed to be a simple solution, that fits into a tight space, and provides a bit more depth to the lower end of your music...and it does exactly that. It is not going to rattle your mirrors or shake your license plate. It is not going to kick you in your back, but it will vibrate your seat a little bit. Basically, it is going to make your stock sound system sound like a higher end stock sound system. The 6" Bose in my Suburban sounds as good if not better, so I would never put this unit in that truck. My daughters Explorer SporTrac did not come equipped with a subwoofer, and she wanted a little more depth to her favorite tracks. That is exactly what she got, and she is thrilled. Me, I would have preferred a 12" in a sealed enclosure with at least 300 watts of clean power...but that's because I wanna feel that kick drum hit me square in my back! If you need or want a little more out of your stock system, then this unit is probably perfect for you. If you want to thump down the block, you need to stop looking at small space saving units. You won't appreciate the sacrifice of sound over compact space. 5 stars because it does what Kicker intended.
Pros: Easy to install Adds depth to a basic stock system Fits in tight spaces Super easy to remove because of the provided plug
Cons: It sounds and feels like a weak 8" subwoofer that is stuffed into a small enclosure because that is exactly what it is.

Worth every penny. Not a bulky item that is easy to station. Like how clean and simple it looks and how it doesn't use up a lot of space and still get great sound out of it. This is a perfect powered sub for small to mid size cabs as it gives a more powerful deeper low end bass. You don't need multiple subs or custom sub enclosures to get a nice low end sound unless you want to rattle everyone around you.
Pros: Compact
Cons: Blue remote wire too short

Ryan from Lafayette, LA on 7/10/2021
Wasn't crazy about this purchase. I trust the Kicker brand, but have always been skeptical that these all-in-one subs would satisfy me - I was right, no dice. Produces solid kick below 80hz, but doesn't have a ton of range. Probably great for a smaller car that wanted a bit more punch, just wasn't for me. Replaced with a Kicker L7 setup, which was more of what I needed.

My subwoofer needs are simple - just enough to take the load off my in-door speakers to provide more depth to the music I listen to. The 11HS8 fits well under the passenger seat of my Highlander and the 8" version has more than enough ooomph for everything. I like the separate control, and that I can I goose it a bit for bass heavy rock music using the bass control built into my Pioneer head unit. I'm a happy camper...

Running a pair of these behind the backseat in F-150 super crew. I don't think one would be enough to fill the bottom end. Two do a good job and keep up nicely with a 400w Focal top end. That said - there's nothing at 40hz.
Pros: - size - size - build quality - size

This kicker hideaway sub blew away my expectations (pun intended)! I had the sub installed and working flawlessly within 2 hours. I dialed in the settings and had the bass control knob installed to conveniently adjust the bass to my preference. I drive a 2014 Nissan Xterra pro4x which had a factory "sub" that just didn't give me the thump I was looking for... This thing is loud and provides a beautiful sound without being too overwhelming. Anyone looking for a sub to add to their ride with minimal space will be pleasantly surprised with the amount of bass this tiny sub produces. The guys at crutchfield were super helpful during the process, and Ace provided me with all the info I needed to have it properly installed. If you're on the fence about this sub (like myself) they offer a 60 day return policy... I won't be returning as this thing is amazing! Plenty of bass for my xterra!
Pros: Loud bass, easy install, easy to access controls, easily adjustable, self powered, bass control knob, small enclosure to accommodate any ride
Cons: Price, does not produce the deep bass that 2 12" subs produce

Good build quality, sounds better than most of the comparable compact units. It's a little tall- it may not fit under your seat especially if you have heating ducts in the way. I have it mounted behind the back seat in my pickup. I wish the crossover went a little lower- it can get a little boomy especially with the lower quality SiriusXM bitrate. Overall a nice addition to round out a factory setup.
Pros: Build & sound quality, easy to wire up and tune.
Cons: A little boomy with certain music, may not fit under all seats.

Hate to pay the price but it's WAY louder than I expected but in a good way ;). Plenty of bass for my NB miata. Pretty simple to set up too. Just don't forget about the blue wire. If your car doesn't have auto stop-start just hook the blue wire to a source of power like a cigarette lighter or the battery. Michael from Shrewsbury, MA on 10/27/2020
2019 Toyota Camry
This little self powered sub packs a decent punch without making everything vibrate and blowout your eardrums. I am middle aged so I DO NOT want a big heavy ported 2x12" 800W box in my trunk. I am a bit of am audiophile and musician so I pick up on every little note, sound, beat, etc. This helps fill out the overall sound to your stereo. I only gave it 4 stars because its not just plug n play. You need to make adjustments and im still trying to find the sweet spot. Its close but im still breaking it in. Fyi, its very important to use remastered tracks in FLAC/CD quality if possible. Makes a huge difference on your listening experience. Also use an equalizer to help clean up and brighten your sound.
Pros: Adds a nice punch to your existing stereo.
Cons: Not really a con, but dialing in the controls are sensitive and take time to find the right punch your looking for without distorting.

The Kicker HS8 sounds great! More than most will need to add bass to your ride. It's not going to rattle your windows but there is plenty of low end thump. This replaced a 10" powered Rockford Fosgate that was taking up room in the back floorboard of my 2015 Toyota Tacoma Access caB. I finally have a great sounding car audio system, which I've wanted for awhile. Best of all, it was possible without losing the factory look or cargo space on my 2020 Hyundai Tucson. The 11HS8 produces tight bass that compliments the system while essentially invisible under the front passenger seat. It pairs beautifully with 45W to each door.
Pros: Clean, tight bass. Doesn't compromise space. Many options for perfect sound match. Adjustments are on the narrow side of enclosure, which prevents accidental manipulation or damage if kicked when mounted for maximum recess underneath seat.
Cons: Adjustments are on the narrow side of enclosure, which may limit access if mounted for maximum recess underneath seat.

Bass is extremely good and really tunable via the remote knob. Installation could have been cleaner. It was tough to figure out getting it powered from just the speaker outputs. Ultimately had to hook up the remote power cable to switched power to get the unit to power up.
Pros: Great sound. Insane bass for a unit this size. Fit under my seat was perfect.
Cons: Tough to figure out the auto power on connections

Put this sub under the front seat of a 2008 Jeep Wrangler and WOW!!! Have a pioneer sub in the cargo area in the factory sub housing that was pretty wimpy, even with an amp. With the top off I lost all bass from the cargo area sub. Added the Kicker and am very pleased. Round out the sound, or make it thump, works well for both. The remote volume control works great.

I put a small amp to power the kicker speakers I put in doors and rear deck 2019 Malibu. Sounded clear and great. But it didn't have a lot of kick until the volume was way up. I added this sub unit. Now it sounds like it's supposed to and sounds great. All kicker components work seamlessly together. Really like the end result with the initial install, then this cherry on top! Install took a little longer since I like to hide all wires not look like a hack Job. THANKS KICKER-YOU ROCK

Perfect addition for the cost
James from Raeford, NC on 6/15/2020
This little box is amazing. I have a 1994 Ford F-150 single cab with limited space and it easily fit. The instructions were perfect and installation went perfectly. It was the perfect addition to round out the sound quality in my truck as I had previously installed the Kicker DS series 5 1/4s in the doors and 6/8s behind the seats. They were great for the mids and highs and this perfectly fills the gap on the low side. I know feel like I am listening to all my music again for the first time. I will suggest that you go ahead and purchase the Kicker left/ right channel plug adapters if your head unit has the option since they are not included and have some extra wire available if you are using the remote feature from the head unit since the wire on the speaker is very short, over all this compact powered sub is worth every penny.
Pros: Space saving, easy installation and instructions, great quality sounds
Cons: The only con would be the short remote wire. I think it should be made with a wire at least as long as the left/ right speaker wires.

Crutchfeild is by far the best
Crutchfield customer from Lilburn, GA on 6/3/2020
This is not a booming sub but it does offer deep bass i can enjoy rock and hip hop in my car with ease it delivers amazing sound for such a compact design i love the way this sound installation was extremely easy im actually thinking about getting the 10 inch version to put under the other seat it looks like its actually the same size package except the sub. Im extremely impressed with it and very happy. On that note I gotta say that the customer service on this site is definitely second to none I have a tendency to over think things and I called several times for help and everyone of the people I talked to were not only accommodating they were extremely knowledgeable. I cant describe a better experience online at all. Please keep up the incredible work
Pros: Great bass for the size Fits right under my driver seat in my 04 rsx with minimal sight of the speaker Super easy to install Best customer service I've ever had online by a mile
Cons: When I play very bass intensive music it distorts a bit I had to turn the gain all the way uup.im a little worried its gonna go out faster

Almost perfect. I purchased an open box unit outside of Crutchfield due to an excellent price. The unit itself was in perfect condition but they forgot the mounting straps and screws. Didn't matter though as I fabricated my own retention system with stuff I had l lying around. Installed it in a Fish n' Ski boat to give it some extra bump. It really does work well for being such a small unit. Two minor gripes: 1. The unit's remote turn on wire and ground wire should be much longer. Fiberglass boats often don't have nearby ground opportunities and cars head units are usually more than 2 feet from where this sub would be placed. Wire is cheap Kicker! Make those two wires longer! 2. The unit really should have low power RCA inputs built in. This would make install even faster. Or at the very least include the "kisl 2-channel speaker cable to rca adapter" with the kit. Which you absolutely will need if want to plug into your head unit's RCA sub output. The fact that it's not an "all you need is in the box" solution is mildly annoying because the extra bits to make it a total package perfect kit are extremely inexpensive and wouldn't hurt the profit margins for kicker. Remember, get extra blue remote wire and the "kisl 2-channel kllseries speaker cable to rca adapter" if you want to use your RCA outputs. That being said, I was able to make it work just fine even without the long wires and missing straps. It sounds great and is a good solution for boa
Pros: Bumps pretty good for a single 8" Easy to install (*with NOT included but needed parts" Great for boats too.
Cons: Needs longer remote and ground wires Should have RCA inputs built in

I was interested in this option over some others because of the turnkey nature, paired with a decent price point and reputable brand... in the end It's OKAY - definitely serves the purpose of a turnkey option for adding SOME low end to a factory system that didn't have a sub... But frankly it's MAYBE not quite as good sounding as the factory sub in my wife's Ford Edge, which was a little surprising. I have a crew cab truck and it's mounted to the rear wall behind the rear seat. I think it would be better sounding in a longer vehicle, like an SUV, so that the sound would be smoothed out over the longer distance. To me it sounds a little too bright/punchy (which can be mitigated a bit with the low pass filter settings), but I would be a lot happier with a 10-inch option for around the same price point/convenience.
Pros: It's pretty tiny. Fires behind my rear seat and I can still fold the seat up/down
Cons: Not a great solution for a truck otherwise. Would benefit from being in a vehicle with an open cargo area - like a wagon - so the sound can reverberate more.

Great sound for a small profile! Fit this inside the rear seat of my wrangler TJ and the sound fills the space with the top up or down. Had to buy the wire attachment for the RCA's but outside of that all the wiring was included. Amazingly the thing I like most is the tactile feel of the bass adjustment knob. I've run lots of setups but this is one of my favorite ones.
Pros: Good sound Low profile

2005 Honda CRV LX
Had recently purchased Pioneer head unit with 4 Polk speakers for my trusty old Honda CRV - figured she made it through 100,000 miles and deserved an upgraded audio experience for the 2nd 100,000 miles. Although the new sound system was a huge improvement I felt it still could use some additional bass range - I tend to listen to music at a high medium volume and want a full clean bodied sound. To minimize intrusion into cargo space I wanted it under the seats in the back - this Kicker unit was well reviewed and ended being perfect. Great fit, east to wire up to the existing system and definitely fills things out without being a window shaking over the top nuisance. Would encourage you to consider it
Pros: space saving under seat installation, great bass enhancement without window shaking

Good things do come in small packages
Crutchfield customer from Kihei, HI on 4/18/2020
2004 Ford Explorer
This is a really nice fit for my vehicle and music listening wants. It was relatively easy to install under a rear seat and produces clean punchy bass. I don't have a huge system nor did I want major bass or to spend major money. I just wanted to add sufficient fill on the low end without sacrificing any of my vehicle's functional space. It's out of the way and takes up minimal space under a seat. I'm still tweaking it, but it sounds great and I'm now hearing and feeling music that I was missing with just door speakers. In a smaller vehicle, this Hideaway would be plenty for most systems.
Pros: Size, strong amp for this category, well built housing, sounds great, relatively simple install
Cons: Needed to buy separate RCA adapter for after market head unit. It's an inexpensive part that should just be part of the Hideaway cable bundle.

Wow - I've spent a lot of money back in the day to put custom sub enclosures, amps and subs in my cars. I'm getting a little older and thought that I would go a little more efficient route this time and just put this in to add bass. I'm seriously amazed. The quality is crazy impressive. I spent over $1,200 on a JL 10" in a custom enclosure with a JL Amp in a Corvette C6 and this has a bigger punch. I'm very happy with this purpose, it absolutely exceeded my expectations! I installed it under the seat in a Jeep Wrangler Unlimited.

It is a perfect fit for in a JK 4-door under the back seats. I am running an Alpine ILX-650 with Infinity Reference component fronts and 6.5s in the rear. It really adds the low notes well across all spectrums of music. It doesn't distort at all when cranked up, and gives clean and precise bass that will not rattle everything in site. If you are looking to build a nice everyday system without needing an amp, box, subs, and wiring this fits the bill perfectly.

For the price I expected much better quality from Kicker. Installed 2 of these under the seats in my Oreion Reeper UTV using the hi level speaker outputs from the Fusion MS RA-55 bluetooth receiver. With the volume at 3/4 and the gain control at only 1/4 of the way up the subwoofer pops, almost sounds like it's blown. Turn the volume down the sub doesn't pop but you can barely hear it. Called Crutchfield and they sent me a replacement. Started from scratch. Brand new subwoofer , with the gain turned all the way down and bass boost all the way down as well turned the head unit up to 3/4 volume. Slowly started turning the gain up and again at 1/4 gain the sub starts popping. Not sure if the hi level speaker outputs of the fusion radio at 25x4 RMS is too much for it. Just spent another $60 on RCA cable, RCA Y splitters and speaker to RCA pigtails and going to try using the low level RCA output of the Fusion radio to see if I have better results. If not I am going to return both of these. Spent almost $500 on 2 of these. Thats alot of money for something that sound so bad. Unfortunately under the seats are the only place to put any type of sub in a Oreion Reeper. Wish there was room to put a bazooka tube somewhere, I've always had good luck with them.
Pros: Perfect size
Cons: Speaker can't handle any volume without popping
