Worse than factory speakers. I had them replaced once under warranty, but the originals weren't defective, the sound quality is just poor overall. I contacted customer support, but they told me replacement/return window had closed.

Such an improvement over stock.

Quite pleased with these. The sound compared to the factory installed speakers in my 2025 RAV4 XLE Hybrid is significantly better. The bass is so much more noticeable, and the mids/highs are more defined. And the install was super simple.

Great Speaker for the Price

Sound really good for the price. I did have to cut one wire coming off the speaker, wires had both a male and female end coming from speaker. I needed two female blade type ends to connect to adapter. But everything was included so it was easy.

Not a bad choice for the price. I was disappointed in the Infinity reference 3.5's going on sale within the week of my purchase of these Kickers. The good: They fit in the center dash of my Acura MDX. Good for talk radio, not so much for quality music. The Bad: The highs are bright, almost tinney.

Good Value

Usually, you don't expect much from a 3 1/2-inch speaker. These delivered great sound and were more efficient than expected. They handled the power given to them and didn't distort. The tweeter section was a little bright or harsh unlike a soft dome, but very musical. Overall, very satisfied! Crutchfield support is always awesome. I spoke with Ian in technical support regarding some wiring issues, and he was helpful and made sure I was comfortable with the installation! I am always impressed with the knowledge, kindness, and professionalism when calling for assistance! Thanks Crutchfield!

Studio sound with Kickers

Fit very nicely, but snugly into my JK Jeep tweeter boxes. Not much room but fit along with some fiber fill. Turned them on and the clarity and definition of sound matched the quality of the Kickers I put in 3 months ago in the sound bar or second pillar roll bar. The overall sound is astounding clear, crisp, and each instrument is truly defined.

Wonderful swap

These fit my 2018 Highlander perfectly to replace old blown out speakers. The instructions and provided wiring harnesses made the swap a snap. Bolt holes lined up exactly. Sound is much improved, definitely has more tweeter presence and more mid/lower end as well, had to shift sound to favor the rear speakers more to rebalance. For the money, these are a great deal. Crutchfield is awesome, got my first car stereo from then in the early 1980s and I'm still here. Icing on the cake was speedy shipping this time, came next day.

VERY impressed

Nice Sound. Easy upgrade.

I read other reviews on this installed on a 2021 Toyota Rav 4 LE. They are all spot on, this speaker is an incredible upgrade to the cheap stock Toyota speakers. The Kicker speakers each weigh a couple pounds with the magnet and feel solid, the stock ones seemed like plastic and paper compared to them. Such a difference in sound. Real easy to install, the most difficult part was removing my old speaker harness because the little release button was hard to press. That's a Toyota issue though, has nothing to do with this speaker. Great upgrade for the money spent. I plan on doing the door speakers next with the same Kicker brand.

Easy install, worked as expected, there is either some really high freq sharp pitches, maybe they were there before but not easily apparent. I had to dial down the trebel down two notches.

Great sound, fit and finish.

Directions were to the point and install went easy. However, the connector plug to dash corner speakers was different. Crutchfield rep. overnighed the correct one. The sound had improved to a point where you could hear the highs clearly and more mids could be heard. Great purchase and a big "Thank you" to Crutchfield's customer support.

2015 Ram 1500

Simple Install but like many others shared, these need a resistor as they're 4 ohm speakers replacing factory 8 ohm speakers. I plan to install resisters in the wiring harness once I get time. I wish Crutchfield had a harness with a resistor already installed that they provided to make it easy. I found a few examples online for people who did their own modifications. Still great quality speakers, very clear compared to the factory.

Great speakers to replace dash oem speakers. Initially they dont fit in my SUV but I was able to place and adapter and now it fits perfect. If you need a great set of speakers to replace oem, these are an great option.

Great upgrade

Completely restored the lost mids and highs hidden by the factory speakers. It's great to hear the music the way it should be heard again. I highly recommend buying speaker wiring harness adapters unless you are comfortable cutting and splicing wires. With the adapters, I was able to install both speakers in less than 15 minutes.

FJ Cruiser dash install

2014 FJ Cruiser Installed in the dash, absolutely no problems. Removed that cone thing from the grill, used a self tap screw on one side. It sounded so different I actually thing the stock speakers were not even working

Sibilance is a big issue

These speakers are a big improvement on the factory speakers. However when listening to a news channel or a talk radio show there is a lot of sibilance, which is very distracting and annoying. I turned down the treble all the way, but there is still some sibilance, although not quite as bad. Maybe there are different speakers that are better in this regard? I will try calling the folks at Crutchfield to see if they can help. It is a great company.

Great upgrade for stock dash tweeters

After installing four of these speakers in the dash of my 24' Rav4, the change in sound quality is amazing. The tweeters provide clear and crisp high and vocal tones. I was initially concerned with using these Kickers with the stock power of the head unit, but the efficiency of these speakers provides a robust sound and loud playback. I would recommend these speakers to anyone who wants to upgrade their stock speakers.

So far so good

So far so good. Big upgrade from the HK system in my 2023 Crosstrek. Installation was easy. I recommend removing the old speaker from the car, harness intact, and then splicing into the wire closest to the speaker. With harness intact, 99% of the work can be done outside the car and then just plug back into the car side of the harness at the dash speaker location again. Spoke with Bruce before doing this and he was extremely helpful.

Excellent small speakers!

I replaced the dash tweeters in my Mazda with these. Due to the location, the installation was a little difficult, but once down in the speaker cavity, they it fine. Screwing them down in that location was also a little tricky, but was fine all said and done. The difference between the factory tweeters and these speakers is night and day. Even with the small woofers in these (and they have a good size magnet to add weight as well!), they crank out a pretty decent amount of bass. So much so that I had to tighten down one of them a tiny bit more to stop a slight rattle. Overall, super pleased with these speakers! If they will fit a location in your vehicle, grab a pair. You'll have to adjust your bass & treble slightly, but once to your liking, they sound great!

OMG what a difference - your mileage may vary. Had 6 speaker grills in my Forester and thought I had speakers under all of them. Of course not with my Base model purchase. But God Bless Subaru anyway. Popped the dash grill covers, and while there were no speakers - there was the harness. Easy with Crutchfield adding the harness and instruction, best money spent.

Major improvement over my stock speakers, the sound is clearer and has opened the soundstage. They work well even with the factory head unit due to the higher sensitivity. With the wiring harness provided by Crutchfield, it took about 15 minutes to install.

Great speakers made a huge difference

Great speakers! I got these to replace the oem dash speakers in my 2015 Highlander. They were easy to install, and they sound worlds better than the crappy stock ones. Of all the speakers in my car, these made the biggest difference. The stock ones are trash, and these little gems are full range, made a HUGE difference. My only regret is not changing them out sooner! And of course, Crutchfield makes it super easy to do with their help and manuals and wiring/mounting accessories.

2019 Ram 1500 true plug and play!

They sound great! It took me literally 5 minutes per speaker to install and enhanced the audio quality in the front cavity of my truck. I just purchased the 6x9 same speaker for the rear doors! Looking forward to the added quality.

Not for me

I'm not saying these are bad speakers, but they did not work out for me in my Ram truck. Raspy sound. After research and discussions with Crutchfield techs it seems that these being 4 ohm instead of the 8 ohm factory dash speakers. They draw too much power than they should and take alot away from the door speakers. I've installed bass blockers that Crutchfield sent me no charge. That may have helped but still not enough. All I can hear is those kicker dash speakers distorting and ruining the sound. I've replaced all the door speakers and they sound good . So they just didn't work out for me and I returned them with no problem.

Disappointed, way to high.. too much treble.

Way too "high". no bass. Was disappointed with them in the dash of may Ram 1500. Will return them, and order the infinity reference. 3.5". Sometimes you get what you pay for. Stock speaker sounded better.

Disappointed.

Not too happy with the sound. Very high pitched, not much bass. These were the only speakers I replace from my base system (6 speaker, non Alpine)..and they sound like 75% of the sound is coming from them (in dash). no bass. Going to return, and go with all infinity.

Kick you know what! These little speakers are fantastic! I spent a lot of time adding and deleting different speakers into my cart and chose these...I don't like regretting my decision and there was a lot of reading reviews and learning about the various specs. I temporarily hooked it up without a bass blocker and it had very good sound. Used a bass blocker to eliminate those lower sounds and this speaker performs. I could definitely tell the difference between the stock in the right side and this one in the left. Only difference between those two were the very high notes of the high hats of the drum being hit could be heard a little better on the OE. As you can see from the pick the OE is just a 1"?? tweeter. If undecided like I was, buy these!

Crisp Highs, Loud, Distortion free!

Amazing sound! These replaced my "tweeters" in my 2018 Subaru Crosstrek and I could not be happier! They sound so crisp, clear, and distortion free! They are loud too, for being powered only by the head unit at this time! I know these could really shine if I hooked them up to an amplifier, but I did not want to embark on that journey myself. When I installed these, I faded between my stock speaker that was still in the dash, and this Kicker speaker. The difference was night and day!

Installed in a 2014 Chrysler 200 Convertible with a factory Boston Acoustics system. These speakers were a huge upgrade along with a Kenwood 1037S stereo. The Kenwood was installed before the speakers. These speakers made a huge difference. Plenty of bass, mids and highs for the casual listener that has a taste for quality.

tiny but mighty

Added these with their 6.75' cousins to a 2020 camry. Great choice IMO to replace the stock crap - highly highly recommend. These especially made a huge difference in sound vs the paper junk that came with the car - they took a couple weeks to really loosen up and sound great. Added a hideaway to complete the package.

Good and easy to install

It works well on my Mazda 3 2014. I was replacing the corner dash speaker. It was a tight fit. I had to wiggle it around to figure out the right position. But the sound is good. It's definitely different from the original boss ones. Also I used the posi-taps to bypass the car connector. The cable included in the box and the posi-taps is all you need. Don't need to cut any cables.
