About the Kicker 47KEY200.4

Buck Pomerantz

Automatic high-fidelity

Now you can get fantastic, high-fidelity sound without shelling out a lot of money for complicated gear or spending too much time tuning the system after installation. Kicker's KEY200.4 compact car amplifier features automatic signal processing that tailors the sound for your specific vehicle's interior space. This 4-channel compact power pack will send 50 watts RMS to each of your front and rear speakers — more than twice the power of a typical aftermarket receiver, three or four times the power of a typical factory radio.

KEY Auto Setup tunes in minutes, not hours

After installation, you set up the included calibration mic, start the test noise (downloaded from Kicker), hit the activation button, and the KEY Auto Setup software automatically sets the crossovers, 40-band EQ, and time-aligns the sound for the front seat driver. Then later, with the button, you can A/B the before- and after-processing sound, to amaze your friends and family.

Advanced features

You can manually enable Auto Compression, for a more consistent and safer power output. A limiter kicks in and lights up when it detects clipping, letting you know that something's too loud. A Bi-Amp mode lets you actively run tweeters and woofers without a passive crossover, by applying customized active crossover settings during the KEY Auto Setup process.

Start-Stop problem solved

Some eco-friendly cars actually turn off their engines when stopped, and then start up again when the brakes are released. The voltage dip during starting could shut down an amplifier or allow it to pass a dangerous clipped signal to the speakers. The KEY200.4 prevents these issues by automatically engaging its limiter in these circumstances.

Integrates well

This amp's so tiny, it'll fit almost anywhere in almost any vehicle. Kicker's FIT2™ technology, using speaker-level inputs with DC offset sensing turn-on, ensures this amp will work in just about any system, even one with a factory radio. The Radio-Detect switch makes sure you never get a "No Speakers Detected" message on your receiver's display when you install this amp.

Product Research

Features

Overview: The Kicker KEY200.4 amplifier features 4 x 50W RMS power in a compact chassis designed to be used with most factory or aftermarket radios. Built-in, AI-driven DSP processing lets you fine tune the system to your vehicle with a single button push, providing a more realistic soundstage.

Power & Bi-Amping: The KEY200.4 amplifier features Class-D amp topology, making it more compact and able to run cooler than other types of amplifiers. The KEY200.4 can provide up to 50W RMS power to each of the 4 channels, running in either a full-range or bi-amp configuration. The optional Bi-Amp setting lets your power a single woofer/tweeter component speaker set using the 4 output channels. When switched to Bi-Amp, via the DIP switch matrix, the amp will automatically detect and apply one of two Bi-Amp Modes after running the KEY Auto-Setup using the provided microphone. Bi-Amp Modes include:

  • Woofers & Tweeters: Applies a 3.2kHz 24dB/oct high-pass filter for the tweeters, and a 3.2kHz low-pass for the woofers.
  • Woofers & Dash Speakers: This mode applies a 320Hz 24db/oct high-pass filter for the dash speakers, and a 640Hz low-pass filter for the woofers.

KEY Technology: The KEY200.4 features built-in, AI-driven, DSP that can dramatically improve the sound quality of your system. Prior to running the Auto-Setup, you will need to have a pink noise source ready to play from your headunit, either CD, MP3, AUX, Bluetooth, USB, etc. For best results, uncompressed audio is recommended, ensuring full amplitude across the frequency spectrum. Pink noise test tones are available from Kicker and can be found here. The included Auto-Setup microphone and rubber hold-down strap let you place the microphone on top of the driver's side headrest, while an inline Activation button lets you start the Auto Setup, giving you 10 seconds to exit the vehicle. If the Auto-Setup needs to be run again, holding down the Activation button for 10 seconds will reset the Auto-Setup. Auto-Setup features include Kicker EQ, Time Delay, and speaker sensitivity matching. Kicker EQ and Time Delay features can be enabled/disabled via side-panel DIP switches and must be enabled (default) before running the Auto-Setup. If disabled after Auto-Setup, the setting is still kept in internal memory and will be re-applied if the switch is enabled again.

  • Notes:
    • Pink noise test-tones are NOT included and can be downloaded here.
    • Factory noise-canceling and active noise enhancement must be disabled before running the Auto-Setup.

DIP Matrix: An 8 switch DIP matrix lets you quickly activate/deactivate settings from the Auto-Setup along with additional options.

  • Auto Turn-On: Two settings are available:
    • 12V: Uses a +12V trigger from a headunit for activation.
    • DC: DC Offset mode uses a 3V DC offset on the speaker wires to detect when the headunit has been powered on. This option only works when using speaker-level inputs. The DC Offset setting causes the Remote Wire to change to a +12V Remote Output for activating other amplifiers from the KEY200.4.
  • Time Delay: Enables/disables the time delay for each speaker, set by the Auto-Setup.
  • Kicker EQ: Enables/disables the Kicker EQ settings made during the Auto-Setup.
  • Compression: Enables the Auto Compression feature that reduces higher amplitude signals above a certain threshold, providing a more consistent level with less jumps in volume.
  • Fader: The On setting lets you run front and rear input signals into the amp. Off lets you feed all 4 channels from one stereo input.
  • Bi-Amp Mode: Can be set On when running a single component speaker set from all 4 output channels.
  • Hi-Pass: Two DIP switches let you activate and configure an internal high-pass filter for 4 output channels. Options include: Off, 60Hz, 80Hz, and 120Hz.

Other Controls & Features:

  • Gain: Two Gain dials let you match the radio's output signal to the amp's input. The included Limiter LEDs can be used in conjunction with the Gain dials, letting you increase the input signal until the Limiter LEDs light, then backing them down below the clip point.
  • Radio Detect: This button can be activated if using speaker-level inputs from a factory headunit that stops outputting sound after being connected to the amplifier. This activates a load resistor, letting the headunit continue to output sound as if the factory speakers were present.
  • Limiter: A built-in Limiter circuit can automatically engage to protect your speakers. Two LEDs light to indicate when the Limiter is being activated, which can happen if the signal starts to clip or distort.
    • Start Up: It automatically engages during vehicle start up when the vehicle voltage drops momentarily.
    • Low Voltage: If the input voltage drops below +10.8V, the Limiter may light at moderate to high volumes.
    • Input Signal Overdrive: If the Input Gain is too high, louder signals may start to clip, activating the Limiter.

Power Management: The KEY200.4 amplifier is fully compatible with newer vehicles using start-stop systems. It also features FIT2 (Fail-Safe Integration Technology), making it compatible with nearly every factory and aftermarket radio.

Wiring: The KEY200.4 includes an 8-pin Input Harness and a 14-pin power/ground/speaker output harness.

  • Input: Includes 4 RCAs for use with low-level input signals. If using speaker-level outputs from the radio, the RCAs get cut off and bare-wire connections are made.
  • Output: Includes two 16-gauge wires each for power and ground. A 20-amp fuse and fuse holder are provided for attachment at the battery. Four pair of 16-gauge wires provide the speaker outputs:
    • White: LF+
    • White/Black: LF-

Q
Does this turn on by itself or does it need a remote wire?
clark  Feb 23, 2024
1 answer
A
The Kicker 47KEY200.4 has two turn-on modes, Clark. 12V: Uses a +12V trigger from a receiver for activation. DC: DC Offset mode uses a 3V DC offset on the speaker wires to detect when the radio has been powered on and will turn on the Kicker amplifier.

Q
I replaced my Jeep JL OEM radio with a Heigh10. Can I connect this kicker using the RCA on the Hiegh10 without have to worry about the resistor problem I had with the Jeep OEM head unit?
clay  Jan 23, 2024
1 answer
A
You can, Clay. One thing you need to be careful of on the Kicker 47KEY200.4 is that it is 4-ohm stable and can drive a total of four, 4-ohm speakers. When using RCA line-level inputs from your aftermarket Stinger HEIGH10 you do not need a load resistor added. The Kicker KEY200.4 is not for use in vehicles that came with factory amplified audio systems. I hope this helps!
bo  Jan 23, 2024 (Staff)
Q
Had an ohms problem with jeep jl to this 200.4. Will I be able to run the rca connectors from a heigh10 radio direct to this 200.4 Amp and it work?
clay  Jan 23, 2024
1 answer
A
The Kicker 47KEY200.4 can accept a line-level RCA preamp input, Clay. Keep in mind this amp is 4-ohms stable and can only drive 4-total speakers. If you are having an impedance issue with the connected speakers (attempting to drive more than 4-total 4-ohm speakers with the Kicker Key resulting in lower than 4-ohms impedance) changing the input type will not solve your issue. I hope this helps!

Q
I have a 2015 Ff350 with the factory non touch screen radio and no factory amp. What would I need in order to make this amp work?
t  Jan 06, 2024
1 answer
A
Greetings T. Thank you for your question. First, you would need a universal amp wiring kit (12 gauge). Second, I will assume you are keeping the factory radio. Then you either cut 8 wires on the factory radio harness and run signal in and back out of the amp. Or we have these T harness' available not to minimize cutting and splicing of the factory wires. Please contact one of our advisors for more assistance. 800-324-9695.

Q
I have a 2017 ram 1500 8.4 uconnect 6 speaker system with no factory amplifier. If I install the key amp and make no other changes at all will i need load resistors?
dan  Nov 07, 2023
1 answer
A
That is a great question, Dan. I show that your RAM has a load resistance needed of 50 ohms and would need a load generating device if only installing the Kicker 47KEY200.4 amp. You can hit the easy button with amp install in your truck if you choose, using the two items linked below. First is the PAC LPA-E.4 line output converter that has a built-in selectable load in the first link below. Paired with the PAC LPHCH41 vehicle specific harness in the second is a good idea as it plugs into your factory plugs, and has a spot designed for cutting and splicing in the powered speaker outputs from the KEY amp to provide a clean install with less rewiring needed! https://www.crutchfield.com/p_541LPAE4/PAC-LPA-E-4-LocPro-Advanced.html https://www.crutchfield.com/p_541LPHCH41/PAC-LPHCH41-LocPro-Advanced-T-Harness.html

Q
Can I use this amp for its dsp feature and feed it to a more powerful amp using speaker level inputs?
chris  Jun 26, 2023
1 answer
A
We have not tested this type of setup. It is very likely that this would not work well since the self-tuning functionality of the amplifier is designed to compliment the amplifier's own power output. I recommend considering a standard DSP if you plan to use a more powerful amplifier.
zachary  Jun 26, 2023 (Staff)
Q
Can you get a replacement microphone for these? Mine is gone and would really like to be able to buy a replacement so I can use the auto dsp function on it.

Q
I have a stock 2020 GMC Acadia (none Bose), the rear speakers seem none existent, but they do work. I am looking to replace the tweeters and door speakers with Kicker's. I'm sure adding this Kicker Key200.4 Amplifier would greatly help with the overall sound and volume from the rear. Now, if I did this and wanted to add for example the JBL BassPro Nano sub or Kicker Hideaway sub or something equivalent. would this be okay to splice in to the wiring since those are powered to?
the_real_eric  Apr 04, 2023
1 answer
A
Greetings Eric, and thank you for your question. Adding an amplifier to a factory radio in a lot of cases means you have to cut 8 wires behind the radio, or get some type of T harness, which by the way we do have for the 2020 Acadia. That signal then gets to the amp via the speaker wire, and so could the powered sub. What you might want to add in between the signal and the powered sub is a bass restoring DSP, they are a little more than $100. That would eliminate the bass roll off, and add back the bass frequencies factory radios take away so factory speakers last longer. We have it all for your Acadia.

Q
I currently have a Rockford amp powering 2 skar 8 inch subwoofers in my 2021 f150 non B/O. Do i need to run any sort of wiring from the kicker key 200.4 to my sub amp for the install? Or do i just wire it into my factory radio?
artribeiro  Jan 24, 2023
1 answer
A
There are a lot of variables here that could come into play AJ, particularly how your Rockford amp is connected to your system. For non-B/O setups you could use the PAC LPHFD31 in the link below. This would allow you to use the harness to cut and splice the Kicker amp in instead of cutting your factory wiring. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_541LPHFD31/PAC-LPHFD31-LocPro-Advanced-T-Harness.html

Q
Does this amp allow signal summing, non bi amp, if I only use one set of RCA's? In other words can I use all 4 channels if I only use one rca input?
michael  Jan 06, 2023
1 answer
A
That is a great question, Michael. You can select a 2-channel full range input with the "FADER" switch. Set the fader switch OFF if you want to drive all channels from a single stereo input!

Q
Is there a way to manually adjust the automatic DSP settings? I have been impressed with Pioneer's MCACC automatic setup for a home theater, but they allow for changes to be made to the automatic settings.
saul  Dec 23, 2022
1 answer
A
There is no way to manually adjust those settings, Saul. You can enable or disable the dip switches for time delay, Kicker EQ, and compression after the auto EQ has been setup and adjust the hi-pass filter options to help dial in the sound if you do not prefer the auto EQ. For more flexibility with your DSP tuning, consider the JBL DSP4086 8-channel in the link below. This unit needs to be tuned with a Windows based PC connected with USB. This amp is a trade off as it has no auto calibration with microphone like the Kicker, but it is more flexible as far as tuning. https://www.crutchfield.com/p_109DSP4086/JBL-DSP4086.html

Q
Will this unit address bass roll off without any additional devices?
jack ma  Dec 11, 2022
1 answer
A
This does not actively address bass roll off. If calibrated at a specific factory radio volume, it will correct the bass response at that volume, but it will not automatically adjust for higher/lower volumes.

Q
2020 Subaru Outback with 11.6" LCD Radio; without Harman Kardon Audio System; without Rockford Fosgate Upgrade System. Will a plug&play HARNESS be included? How does the amp get inputs from the head unit? Thanks!
michael  Oct 16, 2022
1 answer
A
A plug-and-play harness will not be included. It will be necessary to cut and splice into the speaker wires that lead from the factory radio out to the speakers.
zachary  Oct 16, 2022 (Staff)
Q
Do I need an loc to run a separate amp for my sub or can I run a signal from this amp?
benny  Mar 15, 2022
2 answers
A
The 47key200.4 amp does not have a signal out. However, the 47key500.1 sub amp takes speaker level inputs too. Using a different amp would require either a sub out from your head unit, or a lineout converter.
colin  Mar 15, 2022
A
You can't run a signal from this amp. You can splice into the input wires of this amps harness which would be the source from where you are getting your audio signals from to begin with.

Q
Will I need the iDatalink module to use the factory head unit and keep all factory tones and sounds?
francisco  Sep 05, 2021
1 answer
A
This will depend largely on your vehicle. For details on installation please contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and give you the details on what you will need for an installation.
kenneth  Sep 08, 2021 (Staff)
Q
Can you use multiple of these and still use auto tune? I need 6 channels. 2 tweeters in the dash, a mid in each door and a low in each door.
ray  Aug 01, 2021
2 answers
A
You could, you'd have to run the dsp tune for each, but you would have 2 unused channels, since it can't be bridged. Iirc Crutchfield does have a small 8ch jbl with a dsp, that you could bridge the last pair to get six channels and get more power for your lows

Q
Do you need the kicker keyloc along with the kicker key amp? I understand the keyloc fixes the bass roll off but I can't tell if the amp does as well?
bernard  Jun 26, 2021
3 answers
A
I used the LC7I but I believe the Keyloc will do the same and too answer your question The amp works great on its own one of the best units I've ever installed but you do need something like the Keyloc to get all the frequencies the factory doesn't want you to have
red  Jun 28, 2021
A
The installer said I do not need to use a keyloc. I added a kicker hideaway powered subwoofer and and am using an equalizer app and I love the way it sounds. Doesn't wake up the neighbors but good enough for my listening pleasure.
adrian  Jun 27, 2021
A
You can use the key 500.1 without the key loc. It has the bass restore features built in. I've heard that kicker is now saying you should use both. If your using an after market head unit you don't need the key loc at all.

I have Jeep Wrangler JL. I have read on forums that the switch for using with factory amps did not provide the proper resistance for Jeep's on the key 180. Can anyone confirm if the 200.4 will work with Jeep Wrangler without adding resisters?
jeffrey  Apr 14, 2021
1 answer
A
We do expect that the load resistors will be needed to make the stock amp turn on to send its signal to an aftermarket amp or line output converter. This Kicker Key amp has them built in and they can be activated with the Radio Detect button.

Q
If I get this will an LOC be needed for factory stereo with after market speakers and self powered amp?
julian w  Mar 26, 2021
2 answers
A
I installed this amp in October of 2020. I am using the factory stereo with after market speakers. You do not need an LOC. You would have to ask Crutchfield about the benefits of installing the LOC. I am not an expert on car stereos. Amp works awesome. I was limited with power options as I installed the system in a Camry Hybrid. Have the amp powering 4 JVC 6 1/2" 2-way 50W RMS speakers. Love the DSP feature, sounds amazing. Would suggest installing a subwoofer as well to round out your system. It makes a huge difference. I installed a 10" powered sub from Sound Ordnance. System sounds great for what I had to work with power wise.
jason  Mar 27, 2021
A
No - this includes LOC capability and has a feature to automatically configure those settings via a mic and listening mode.

Q
Can I use two of these for a 3-way active speaker + sub setup?
daniel  Mar 18, 2021

This really isn't meant to drive a sub, there is a separate kicker KEY500.1 sub amp for that and they are designed to work together.
brendan bhagan  Mar 24, 2021
A
I wouldn't suggest it for a sub I presume you have two front to rear speakers and a sub one would work great for front and rear channel but I would buy one of the mono kickers for the sub they have different sizes depending on how much power you trying to pushEnter an answer to this question.

Can you use this amp as a dsp and hook up an amp after it for more power? Youtube videos from kicker say it can be done, but they don't state or show how?

Q
Should I leave the crossover filters on my front component speakers? I have mounted the tweeters in the front pullers w/crossover and the woofer in the front doors w/crossover. The two rear speakers are coax.

A
If you're using this amp in bi amp mode, then you should remove the crossovers from the equation. The kicker key will detect you have a 2 way set up and determine crossover points internally.

Can I power all four channels with a single stereo input, or will I need to split my RCA cables on the input side?

I'm running my amp in bi-amp mode, So it's one left and right signal from my head unit going into the amp, comes out 50 amps to each speaker in my front end component set. So 50 amps to two woofers and 50 amps to the two tweeters.

A
Yes you can.My head unit did not even have RCA outputs,I had to splice my left and right + and - to the 47Key200.4(very easy with the spiffy twist connectors they have now).Put the fader switch on the amp to the off position and you are good to go.If you go to the Kicker website and pull up the instructions they explain it.My truck,a 2020 Ford F150XL with pillar and door speakers only had one set of outputs so my speakers are in parallel.I was able to add another set of speakers behind my seats(2 door regular cab).So I have six speakers with only one input and I replaced the factory pillar and door speakers.Awsome sound from that little amp.

I used my factory system and ran new speaker wire from that to the amp and back to the wire going to the speakers. I had to cut the RCA adapters off the input side of the amp the connect the speaker wire from the factory stereo. I'm pretty sure you have to send each signal to the amp so you have fade and balance controls.

Not this model. Its for four channel sound only. You'd want the kicker key 500.1 if you were looking for sub only.

Q
Does having this amplifier require a line-out converter if I'm using a factory head unit with no RCA input?
casey  Nov 14, 2020

A
No. You can snip the rca ends off of the inputs and use your speaker wires as high level inputs. I believe the manual shows you how. I would check kickers website for that download.
kody  Nov 14, 2020
A
No you don't need the line-out just wire direct to this. It has harnesses where you splice your wires to and input and output, the other end of the harnesses plug right into it.
mike  Nov 14, 2020
A
No it takes hi-level, so just run speaker wire. Few videos on the web to check out, btw.

Will this amplifier work on a 2020 Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road with a non JBL HU without having to install the Kicker 46KISLOAD4?

A
I installed full systems in my Chevrolet Traverse and my wife's Kia Soul ( keeping the factory head unit on both vehicles) .Each vehicle with the Kicker Key200.4 amp( each with all new speakers and additional power subwoofers). The Kicker Key47 200.4 is an awesome amp in a little package. Both vehicles audio systems are awesome, crisp and power. But this amp is NOT simply plug and play. It will require one to have experience in installation or paying for professional install.

Q
I have a 4 channel radio with a 6 speaker setup (the front channel radio outputs power door mounted woofers and A-pillar mounted tweeters with inline crossovers). If I wanted to connect all 4 channels of my radio, would the time alignment feature still work considering the spacing between the woofers and the tweeters?
fernando  Oct 05, 2020

A
I have 9 speakers connected,, the doors have a woofer on the bottom of the door and tweeter on the door pillar for each door, the twweters of which have a separate crossover. The subwoofer is connected to the rear speaker outputs for the speaker level inputs as the subwoofer has its own amp. I conducted the time alignment without the sub connected which turned out great as each door was connected to a separate channel. Turned on the sub and adjusted the subwoofer using the amp provided with the woofer. Your setup will work.

I have a 2014 VW CC Exec. with a factory RNS510 head unit. I would like to connect the Kicker 47KEY200.4 to this head unit. Will I need to upgrade my factory speakers at this time?

A
You won't NEED to upgrade your factory speakers, but to get the best out of your sound system, I would definitely recommnd upgrading so you can have clearer sound. I have CSC65 Kicker speakers I installed and they sound so much clearer than my stock speakers in my 2018 Kia Soul.

The short answer is No, you don't need to update the factory speakers. The Kicker Key series are designed to be incorporated to your stock sound system and take full advantage of it. I would definitely recommend upgrading the factory speakers but it is not an absolute necessity, you'll see a vast improvement of sound quality with just the amp.

I have an Boss BV960NV with 10 band eq. 1) How is this affected? 2) Is this supposed to be a first time amp?
james r  Sep 05, 2020

A
You can still use the HU, just plug right into the amp's inputs. The Key eq's the system with the microphone and built in dsp. Not a *first time amp*, check youtube(5star), but it's intended for newer vehicles where replacing the factory unit is not possible or ill-advised (like my 2019 ranger with sync 3). You get the benefits of auto eq and time alignment with something designed to fix factory systems.
brian  Sep 05, 2020

This amp will not affect anything you have in your vehicle it will only give your speakers the boost they need to really come to life. No this amp is not a first time amp but it will be the only amp you'll ever need to power your inside speakers and it's perfect cause you can hide the amp pretty much anywhere you like. Trust me and get this amp!!

Q
I have a 2017 F150 with the non Sony Sync3 system. Has anyone tried adding this amp to the factory HU? If so does it interfere with all of your door chimes back up sensor etc? And how is the sound quality when paired with the oem door speakers? I plan on running this little amp and retaining my factory speakers, just perhaps adding this amp to them and a micro JL sub.

You will want to contact an Advisor by phone (1-800-324-9695) or online chat to discuss compatibility with your factory system. They will be able to pull up your vehicle and see if this will integrate. If it does not, then they will also be able to discuss other options with you.

Q
If I want to use the 200.4 to power my front separates in bi-amp mode, does that mean I no longer need the passive crossovers that came with my speaker set? Also, if I decide to use my radios built in amp to power the rear speakers, will the 200.4's automatic setup still work well since it is only in control of the front speakers?
e  May 20, 2020

A
I just installed the KEY 200.4, Kicker tech support says you do not need line out converters which may be what you are calling the passive crossovers, regardless if you connect it up as high or low inputs. I also installed the Kicker speakers which did not come with any additional items to install. I set the KEY to 80, no bi-amp mode, and connected all four door speakers which have tweeters built in. I believe the dash tweeters are connected using the same wires as the front door speakers since I didn't see anything specific in the wiring from the radio. I set the radio to flat EQ, the balance dead center, using all speakers. The auto tuning program that comes with the KEY gave a "happy confirmation" and all sounds great. Hope that helps.
jeff  Jun 03, 2020
A
Correct , you will not use the passive crossovers at all. Run the auto setup with your rear speakers disconnected. Once the auto setup is done you can reconnect your rear speakers and use the controls on your head unit to tweak the rears. The manual tells you to place the mic facing straight up but I found when setting up mine that it works better when in bi-amp on front components to face the mic forward in the center of the drivers headrest.
thomas  Jun 03, 2020
A
Assuming you are talking about a component speaker set with a woofer and tweeter, if you don't use the crossover, you will still need to provide the appropriate high pass for the tweeter, and potentially low pass for the woofer. As far as tuning the Kicker with your head unit running the rears - the 200.4 won't complete calibration if it is not in control of all speakers playing pink noise during the tuning - so you will need to be able to completely silence the rears during the calibration - either fade control or disconnecting them, as an example. However, your rear speakers will not be tuned/calibrated to match the speakers driven by the Kicker, so I would expect this to be a sub-optimal result from a sound quality perspective.

Q
Can I install the Kicker 47key200.4 in a 2014 F150 w/o Sony radio without cutting factory wiring ? Is there a wiring harness I can buy to prevent from cutting the truck wiring when installing the Key Amp?
william  May 02, 2020
1 answer
A
You'd have to look for a wiring harness. The kicker key amp works like an in-line fuse. You need an input source and the kicker key is the output source. I feared to cut my wiring harness, however I did. It is worth the effort. Sound quality is much better and clear.
