Kicker Subwoofer Sound

The Kicker 48CWRT102 subwoofer sounds great and its not even broken in yet. I barely turned up the volume using the bass knob and it sounds fantastic.

Kicker 10" Shallow Mount Slamz!!!

Kicker is a brand that is noticeably known just by hearing. It needs not be shown to recognize. I have 2 down-firing 10 inch subs hooked to a Kicker 800.1 mono block amp. It "SLAMZ" and should be called the "Kicker Slamz" if you ask me! Its crisp and bass notes notes are easily detectable and resonate. No rattle and lag and are a noise violator. Thankfully, kicker cleverly has an easy to control bass knob. I love and will never regret the choice of purchase. Thank you, for the advice from purchasing some other unaffordable brands which these perform at the same level if not better.

Clean and hard hitting overall sound

I've just purchased my 2nd set of these subs, replacing its predecessor ( 1 ohm DVC ) and I'm a true believer with the sound these bad boys are putting out!!! Paired with the right amp and you'll be amazed as well. I do have them wired down to 2 ohm ( parallel ) to a Mono Class D Amp in a Fox Box enclosure for my Toyota Tundra. I couldn't be happier with the results, keep up the good work!!!

Failed for the last time.

They don't last! I purchased an audio roof for our SXS that has these subs in it. We have been through two sets so far!!! This past set quit working completly...no sound at all. They just do not hold up well. We will be looking for something else to replace them this time.

Great sub gor the value!!

Nice bass when paired with the right amp! I'm running two of these and so far so good!! Love them and the fact that they're shallow depth. I wasn't a kicker fan before but these slap!

Sound good, but they dont last

I installed a pair of these in a sealed box some time around 10/21. Both subs failed in under 6 months at the same time. One had both voice coils fail, where the second sub had only one coil fail. My amp had an advertised 600w RMS where these subs *should* have been up to the task just fine. Fast forward to 10/23, at least one sub failed again. They were wired to a 2ohm load, and I just measured tonight, they are at a combined 6ohm load. At least one failed *again*. Time to go to a different brand.

I bought 2 of these subs running off a Kicker 800.1 amp and installed them into my son's truck. Within the first month one of the speakers quit working. I got in touch with Kicker and they sent us a replacement. About 6 months later we ended up with a blown voice coil on the other one. When I got back with Kicker this time they told me that they had a bad batch of these and were going to send me new ones. We installed the new subs into the box and within one week one of the voice coils went out. All components for this build were high end with wires, fuses and sub box. The sub box was a sealed box that met the specified air space needed. When I reached out to Kicker this time, they basically said that they cannot warranty the sub due to it being over a year old. To sum up a long story, Kicker basically told me these subs are only designed to last about a year. If I were to know this ahead of time I would have spent my money on a better product. I would not recommend this product to anyone unless you are looking for a short term throw away sub.

Hard hitting bass in a shallow mount sub

This sub is exactly what I needed for my Chevy Colorado. The space below the seat is limited snd this shallow mount sub is exactly what I needed. I paired the sub with the audio control lc6.1200 amp and running bridged 4ohms at 400 watts. The sub has a great hard hitting, clean bass that I love.

Great clarity

I've had this subwoofer for almost a year and I am very pleased with it. I have it coupled with the Kicker 46CXA400.1T amplifier and the wired remote volume control knob, Kicker 46CXARCT. I wired the dual voice coils in parallel for 1 ohm resistance, allowing 400 watts rms. It is mounted under seat in the cargo hold of my truck which is not ported for more bass punch. This Kicker amp, knob and woofer system delivers all the low bass volume I want and the clarity of the low frequencies is fantastic! The inclusion of the volume knob is a must for all the different recordings of music I listen to. I can mix the subwoofer to match the volume and appropriate presence to all the various qualities of recordings I have. It is great to lower the volume for books on tape or interviews to reduce the "p" word pops. Another benefit to this powerful system with control knob is the ability to lower the main stereo volume to protect my hearing, then turn up the subwoofer volume a bit to get more bass feel and presence. No more unnecessary risk to my ears just to get more bass experience from my sound system. My truck stereo system is the best I've ever had with the addition of the Kicker 48CWRT102

Shallow Mounts Work

I purchased this sub to install in a home built sealed sub enclosure, using the recommended volume range provided by Kicker. Running a Kicker 400 watt amp at 1 ohm with the 2 ohm dual voice coil sub. I had to use a shallow mount sub in order to build the box to fit the space in my truck. The sub and amp work great together. The bass is tight and hits hard.and I haven't even tuned it yet! Great purchase!

JL Audio driver substitute

Excellent sounding Kicker CompRT 10" driver! I bought it as a substitute for my 25 year old JL Audio 10W1 driver that was making bad noises with its Stealthbox enclosure out of my 1997 Chevy Pickup. The Kicker had the needed low profile and TS parameters to compliment the sealed box. Overall Q-alignment dropped by about 0.05 which tightened up the sound ever so slightly. Now installed in a 2009 Buick Enclave, the Kicker-Stealthbox combo are working hard to shake the interior yet do so on my modest 200 watt amp (at 4 ohms) with authority and volume to spare. I'm very pleased with the Kicker CompRT driver!!!

DIY Install **BOOM**

impressive, tight bass in a small package. got 2 of these and a custom box for my gmc canyon, plus a soundstream compact amp and mounted under rear seat. also hooked up the rear factory speakers to amp, and really woke them up. this system really slaps and sounds super clean now.

Geat tight bass!

I put one of these in my F150 and hooked it up to my old school Rockford Fosgate P3002 amp. It sounds great! Bass hits good and tight. Handles all the power from the amp better than my old RF sub, which had a lower RMS. Might start becoming a Kicker fan!

Exactly what I was looking for

I bought a different kicker sub, but wouldn't fit in my box (by inches), so I turned to this sub. Once I finished my install and took my first listen, I knew I made the correct decision. I have a down firing single sub in my truck and it sounds amazing. I'm running an old school Rockford fosgate 451s, bridged, in a 4 ohm load. The sub hits, but isn't overbearing. In my "old man" time of life, I'm over the loud and more for quality. I also ordered an infinity amp and kicker speakers for my doors (all from crutchfield) and am incredibly impressed with the products. Once again, crutchfield came through for me and provided superior products, answered my questions, and helped when in need. Thank you.

Don't Overlook this sub!

Overall a good solid sub with deep bass. For the price point it is a very good option and being a shallow mounting depth makes it very versatile for placement and mounting options. I have this in a Ford Edge SUV and it fills the cabin with plenty of bass and thump while being driven with only 350 watts.
