15 inch subwoofer what could go wrong

Sharing my thoughts to help others about a 15 inch subwoofer I've had two of these kicker 15 inch subwoofers in a boat for over 20 years replacing them with these new ones I have yet to received the second one, but ordered a open box. The one that came super fast with more packing peanuts that I knew what to do with anybody would like any packing peanuts. I could supply them with some.

Great Entry Level Subwoofer

Great subwoofer for the price. After my one week period of breaking the subwoofer in, I finally cranked up the amp and was immediately impressed. This thing does great with a ported enclosure. I just wish it would put out a little bit more on the lower bass (around 25hz-30hz), part of that being my own fault since I am running a stock head unit with no equalizer.
Pros: Puts out great volumes of bass for the power input
Cons: Big, the speaker and enclosure requires a bit of room, but it's worth it

Great low power 15" sub put about 400 watts to each sub and they hit in sealed or ported enclosures

The subs are great. I have two of them in a vented box and they perform flawlessly. Very pleased with the purchase.

These speakers are garbage. Or at least the 2 I received are. About 10months after getting them one of the voice coils on one speaker went, and now 6 month after that a voice coil on the other has blown. There's a reason for these only having a 1 yaer warranty.
