Wanted more dynamic bass for my small space. Space is a premium when setting up an FJ overland rig. My current 1.23cu ported enclosure currently houses a Alpine SW10D4 wired to 2ohms powered by an Kicker CXA 800.1. Output is decent but, I wanted more. I purchased the 42CWQ104, wired 2 ohms, and to go into my current poly-filed enclosure. This paired with a Kicker KXA 800.1 and MAN am I impressed ! This woofer's frequency response is phenomenal ! I'm hearing bass passages I didn't know existed in my music before. Not to mention that the output nearly rivals 2 12" subs in my opinion. All this in the same space as before ! 1 week in it's well worth the money !
Pros: Dynamics and output for the buck !
Cons: It's heavy !

amazing kicker sub it is small in size but it has a pretty beefy motor and weighs about 15 pounds. Over all slams hard my whole miata trunk rattles from that little thing. I would recommend getting something around 1000 watts to supply the sub with plenty of power even though it is rated for 700 watts rms peak wattage was about 1100. Overall would recommend kicker never fails to disappoint.

I have been a JL guy since i was 16, 24 years and im gonna tell ya my story. I bought W0's they were loud and did everything i wanted except it wasnt loud enough so i bough W3S they didnt sound good so i bought alpine R series blew 1 of them then gave he other 3 away so u bought W3s again with a diff box and still wasnt impressed so i tried 2 of these bad boys and ive found my speaker after thousands of dollars later but hell it was fun testing all them diff subs, kicker overdid it with themselves. this is top notch bass and clarirty. i have a single cab truck and gonna put 4 of these up there. BOOM BOOM
Pros: clean clear bass, nice heavy magnet, priced very fairly
Cons: nawwwww

Excellent Subs
Amazing sound from these subs. I downgraded in size from two Kicker L5's to free up some trunk space & have not been disappointed in these at all. I have these being powered by a 1000w Kenwood XR-10001 in a Q-Bomb Turbo box and they knock really well & really push the lows nicely. Their recommended RMS in a center enclosure is between 350-700 so I'm right in the wheel house but they could easily handle another 200w a piece. When I was younger I was all about driving passed park cars & setting off car alarms but in my older age I'm more concerned about cleaner accurate sound which these give you without requiring you to give up the entire trunk space. If you do opt for these and are looking to really shake the heck out of everything around then be sure to pick a 1400w RMS amp to max out their RMS.
Pros: Price, efficiency, sound. You won't find anything better at their price point
Cons: None so far

Fantastic hard hitting subwoofer. Clear and very powerful sound. Previously had fosgate, crossfire,jl audio subs in the same category and they don't come close.
Pros: Powerful, great sound.
Cons: A bit heavy for my personal application

I'm running 2 CompQ 10 in woofers on a Pioneer 1200 watt sub mono amp in a ported box in my 2019 Nissan frontier king cab and these things strait pound. The bass is crazy loud! Trust me these are with every dollar and then some. Buy them you won't be disapointed.
Pros: Crazy Bass clean and clear and not to forget LOUD.!!
Cons: NONE.!!

Upgraded to this sub from a 12 inch Comp R and this thing slams. Gets really low. Cant wait to add one more once i get an Alternator 280 amp. With just one it makes some good bass with a 30hz tuned box. Would highly recommend. The build quality is top notch.
Pros: -Great bass response. -Saves you space. -3 year warranty.
Cons: -0....

I was in the market for JL Audio when I purchased this sub. I have not been disappointed. Even my installer was impressed with it. Plays amazingly thru the sub channel of a JL Audio 900/5 amp. Enclosed in a SO ported bux. Beauty and function. Couldn't be happier.
Pros: Price, build quality, dual voice coil for wiring flexibility, all around amazing
Cons: ZERO

This is an amazing sounding 10" subwoofer. I can only imagine what the 12" subwoofer sounds like. It's not in the class with JL W6 or W7, but it cost significantly less and performs great for the price. I would recommend this to anyone that wants very solid bass for a good price.
Pros: Sounds great! Affordable Looks good
