Great addition.

This is a great addition to my Kicker 8" subwoofer. It's sturdy enough to protect it from damage in its under seat location. I'm very pleased with it.

Kicker GR80

Very well built grille. Looks silly and flimsy at first but if you are using it with a Kicker sub that it is intended for, it's really great. Really brings a good look if you're sub(s) are visible, and once it is attachedsit's like a rock. It simply slides into the speaker's existing mounting holes and then you mount the speaker as you normally would. As for how tough are they, I have two speakers in a compact box behind my folding rear seat, pinned up against the cab wall, and the middle support for the seat slams into these grilles on a regular basis, they are what protects my cones from damage, and even with people in the seat against them, these grilles hold up.

Kicker 8 inch Grill

I expected these grills to be metal like most of kickers 10, 12 and 15 inch subwoofer grills. These are plastic and they have metal sleeves in each end for the screws to bolt thru and hold the subwoofer. They seemed flimsy to the touch and I was concerned but after I installed them they seem very sturdy and solid. The screws required have to be a pan head type of wood screw with a small head size #6 is what worked in mine and I had to buy some that were 2 inch long to properly mount my subs. I originally bought some #8 that were 1 1/4 long and it fit in the grill but wasn't long enough to go thru a piece of 3/4" MDF with the added depth of the grill probably about 1/2 inch it wouldn't tighten down in the box.

Nice grille

I thought these were going to be cheesy because they seemed flexible and plastic when I opened the box. After I screwed them in they are very durable and because they are plastic they will work great in the boat.
