Not worth it. "free air" is just marketing

I put two of these in my boat thinking this was my answer for marine free air subwoofers I was not happy with the performance or the quality of the subwoofers. They look cheap and the speaker terminals are junk. They are underpowered at 175 watts so don't expect to crank them up to rock the boat. I removed them and put in two Kicker CompRT Series shallow-mount 10" subwoofers. These blow them away in bass.

Decent sub

Good sub but very light in weight compared to other subs in its class. I think the wire connection terminals could be more heavy duty. How will they hold up overtime in a salt water environment? Don't know. Overall I'm happy with them but not overly impressed.
Pros: Cheap in price
Cons: Light magnet, weak (small) terminals

Boat Upgrade

Doubled sound quality by adding to to tri-toon boat with 4 Kicker coaxial speakers. Have the LED grill for night show. Amp is Kicker 42PXA. Plenary of bass at 250W @ 4 ohms.
Pros: Great match to OEM boat speakers.
