Big sound small package
Christopher from Georgetown, KY on 6/5/2025
Honestly love this thing, compact, punchy, and pretty loud.
Pros: Punchy, loud, doesn't take up much space. Fills in where my 6.5" speakers can't go.
Cons: Hard to get an accurate hole in the box to mount it.

Came from a 10" L7 in the trunk of my 2016 mustang to 2 8" ones in my 16 F-150 due to space and I am beyond impressed with the volume and quality of sound. Shipping was extremely fast and I wash kept informed of everything from order to delivery! Great job Crutchfield!

The L7S8 kicks major ass in a ported enclosure! Worth every dollar especially when you pair it with the Kicker 400w amplifier. Highly recommended!
Pros: Size and power!
Cons: Pricing

Surprising bass from a small sub
Jim from Salisbury, MD on 2/11/2022
The Kicker 8 Solobaric sub is fantastic! It's small enclosure requirements make it a great sub for vehicles with little room to spare. I built the 1cuft vented enclosure recommended by kicker and have it powered at 300watts rms. It is in my wife's Escape and it sounds like 2 12" subs. Crutchfield made it pretty easy to order and the price good. I had the sub the next day.

Big bass in a small space
Michael from PORT REPUBLIC, MD on 3/25/2020
Loving this sub. Hits nice but doesn't beat my brains in like the 2 10's in a bandpass I used while I got my custom box built. Wired it up to 1 ohm and running a Kicker 46CXA4001T amp and it really fills in the bass. If your space is limited like mine don't think twice, even with the seat up in my double cab tacoma it still rocks!
Pros: Fits in small spaces, doesn't overpower other speakers for a nice balance
Cons: None so far!

Clean install and powerful accurate bass
Alec from Belleville ks on 4/7/2019
This is an excellent speaker! Very accurate and clean bass. I installed this in my 2013 Chevy Sonic RS in the rear cargo area. I built a custom box to manufacturer's specifications and I wasn't disappointed. I decided to build a ported enclosure tuned to 60hz to maximize the volume of a small sub. It worked extremely well. The quality of the speaker is excellent as well as it's appearance. I used the audio control lc2i and a fosgate t750 for my install. The bass is quite powerful. I'm very pleased with the result.

I can't believe that this is an "8". If you are like me, and want some extra clean bass to your system without taking up a bunch of space, look no further. I was able to make a box to the specs and conceal it into a panel. I am only running 300 watts to it off of a 5ch amp, but it is plenty for me. I could always upgrade the amp or use a mono and port the box, if l wanted to. I am happy that I went with this and not a shallow version vs. Bigger as in a 10 or 12.
