Excellent sounding speakers. In comparison to the old Boston Acoustics speakers these are the best on the market hands down.

2020 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Ok, Let's start out by saying that these Coaxial speakers sound different than any other 6x9 Coaxial speakers I have heard. In my experience with Coaxial speakers in general, to me, they will really show their ability to shine on the tweeter section and leave a lot of the mid-driver section as second of importance. These Morel Maximo Ultra Coax DO NOT do this. The mid-bass section of these speakers are superb! There is PLENTY of mid-bass coming out of these speakers! However, in doing this, do not think they are going to over-emphasize the fact of the tweeter that is also there doing its job is going to be forgotten by the mid-bass section. They flow together in unison perfectly. In my application where the 6x9 speaker is placed in the middle of the door panel as opposed to the lower area ('20 Jeep Grand Cherokee) I think that has something to do with it, however, that being said, I truly think these speakers would shine even if the application was closer to the bottom of the panel as well. These are Higher-end speakers in my opinion, and the old saying goes, you get what you pay for. Sure, there are probably Higher-end products out there, however, especially at the price-point, you would be pressed to find an alternative that sound as good. I am not out there competing for SPL or anything like that. It has to sound good to ME. If I did not think these speakers or anything for that matter deserved recognition, I definitely would not be here typing! TRY THEM!!
Pros: Great Highs, Great mid-bass! All around great sounding speaker. Highly Recommend these!

Excellent sound and presence

2022 GMC Sierra 2500/3500
Just installed these into my 2022 GMC HD replacing the factory (non-Bose) speakers in the front doors. What a huge difference! These have excellent sound. I can now hear instruments in all genre of music that I couldn't pick out before. Even with just the factory stereo, these get uncomfortably loud without distortion. Installation was easy with the Crutchfield guides. The speakers fit perfectly with no modifications (not everyone's vehicle will be the same). I would recommend these without hesitation if they will fit in your application! Worth every penny in my opinion.
Pros: Nothing is lost at low volume; Fantastic sound even with factory stereo; Well made components - nothing feels like a shortcut was taken

2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500
Upgraded from factory Bose and blows those speakers away! Worth the money.
Pros: Delivered quickly, great customer service.
Cons: Does come with harness and mount with screws but there's no sealer around speaker or mount, just plastic on metal. Maybe I'm missing something?..

As described. Typical Morel quality and sound. I have them paired with a sub woofer so can't comment on their bass reproduction, but the mids and highs are clear and smooth.

2022 Subaru Outback
Used in 2022 Subaru Outback to replace tragic stock speakers. Even powered by stock HU they get plenty loud but I'm positive they'd have better bass if they got more power and didn't have oem eq. They still have plenty of bass for my needs. Low mounted tweeter in the coax competes with the stock speaker making for kind of an odd soundstage. Vocals sound like they're coming from the right side of the car when sitting in the drivers seat and balance and fade are default. Not noticeable at all from passenger seat. But the stock tweeter is also tragic so I'd hope you're replacing those at the same time.
Pros: Smoothed out the sound of the bass from stock speakers and also added more of it.
Cons: You definitely should like the "mellow / smooth" sound of Morel. Some people may not. If you like super crisp (what I think of as shrill) highs, you will probably not enjoy listening to these.

Morel Maximo Ultra Coax 692 MKII

2011 Nissan Xterra
I replaced the stock front door speakers in my Xterra with these. So far I am very pleased. I'm running these through an old JBL amp with 60 watts per channel. So much more clarity and detail! This is my first experience with Morel speakers and I chose the Morels because I didn't want harsh, over emphasized treble. I've read a lot of reviews saying how Morels delivers lots of detail but aren't harsh and that's my experience so far. Unfortunately, Nissan placed the speakers as low as physically possible on the doors. So with the speakers basically pointing at the floor mats I'm probably not experiencing the full capabilities of these speakers. Still, they have made a huge difference in the sound. The difference in the bass is night and day. No more muddy bass! Vocals and treble are beautifully clear and detailed without being harsh or sibilant. Exactly what I was looking for.
Pros: Great detailed sound without painful harshness.
Cons: Very tight fit In the Xterra's front doors.

2022 Subaru Outback
2022 Outback Stock HU. Still using the junk oem tweeters and they, unfortunately, sound like they're overpowering the tweeter from this set. Bass, even on stock head unit, is so much better. It's not that there's more of it, it's just not that weird muddy boomy sound. Have a set of Morel 6.5s for the rear doors that I'll be putting in soon, and then I'll decide what to replace the dash speakers with. And yes, volume needs to get turned up a tiny bit more than with oem speakers, but these are easily powered by the stock headunit without an amp.
