Great fillers for my Raptors rear doors

Bought these as fillers for the rear doors in my 2014 Raptor and they out performed my expectations. The sound quality was astonishing from the 5 1/4 speakers. My son who is about the only one who rides in the back was impressed enough to decide to put them in his 4Runner. Neither of us quite knew how they would fill such a large space but believe me they do.

Morel Tempo Ultra Integra 502 MKII

There ok, but tbh there no better than factory cheap Ford speakers that came in my 03 f750 truck. There connected to a new head unit. Speakers distort as same volume setting as factory one. I left one original and one on the right new to test. I have an extension background in acoustics this was no upgrade over factory. Speakers came with all necessary connections and hardware to convert from 6x8 to the 5 1/4.

Powerful Rearfill Speakers

Very clear and powerful for "rear fill" speakers. Biggest magnets I've ever seen on a set of coax speakers!

I had a pair of Alpine speakers, but these are more detailed for Jazz etc. Very, very, nice!

Downgrade from rear Bose speakers in Ioniq 5

For context, I have a 2023 Ioniq 5 Limited with the Bose sound system, which is inoffensive but unimpressive. I installed a Musway m6v3 DSP amp and customized the equalizer settings by ear and by RoomEQ, and that improves it some. So starting out, it has decent frequency range, but it's still slightly muddy throughout. I wanted more warmth in the lows and clarity in vocals. These Morels looked good on specs, have a reputation for warm clarity, and sounded good on Crutchfield's Compare & Listen feature! Great for the rear doors. But... My heart fell when I installed and listened to the first Morel speaker. Without adjustments, it was several dB quieter than stock, and it was so tinny I legitimately thought maybe I got a bad unit with a broken woofer. I confirmed that nope, the mids and bass are just extremely quiet. But okay, I have a DSP with granular equalizer on my amp. So I was able to provide it more power, bumped down the treble a little, and boosted vocals mildly. That mellowed it out nicely, but the bass was still thinner than stock. Removing the recommended baffle helped a lot. But whether using EQ to boost it or keeping it flat but giving it more power, there still is just limp, muddy bass on this from 60-300 Hz. I'm extremely disappointed in it. But on the bright side, the vocals and highs are now better and clearer than stock without being harshly bright. They don't rock my socks, but they could be a good option if you have a strong DSP and dedicated

Not as good as factory BMW motorcycle speakers.

I Purchased these to replace the factory speakers in my R1200RT BMW motorcycle using a Kenwood 600W Bluetooth amp. For some reason they just didn't sound as good as the factory speakers (same size), so I am returning them. No lows with these speakers. If you replace with these, have woofers to go with. Cant understand why they didn't work as well; it wasn't a phase / polarity issue (tried reversing) you could hear the difference with just one speaker. As an electrical engineer, this has me scratching my head.

Morel speakers are top notch

I'm impressed with the clarity and smooth tenor and miss. Piano and string instruments are breathtaking. I combined these speakers with a Morel 400 4-channel amp. They compliment each other's performance. My Infinity Kappa 4X6 speakers in the back suicide doors sound wonderful with the Morel audio complement. I do not regret the Morel investment.
